This is an honest review from a former…

This is an honest review from a former client of Dell Disability. I hired them to represent me in a STD appeal and to handle the LTD claim once the policy kicked in. Reliance Standard had provided me with a claim file that had my name at the top but the letter was for someone who worked for a different employer and had all of their claim information in the letter. I had not been able to get a copy of the policies and the claim file was just a bunch of compressed and cut off pages. I had no idea what a claim file was supposed to look like but Dell Disability does. Dell represented me for 240 days. If I did not remove them as counsel on 4/28/23 Reliance Standard would have denied the claim when they got the peer review back. I would have never known that Dell never started the LTD claim and when the STD claim was denied I would have had no recourse. I would have never known that Reliance Standard only saved 3 pages of medical out of 351 pages to their administrative record. They appeal that I was sent by Dell Disability wasn’t the appeal that Reliance Standard. At the point I removed Dell i was owed 16 weeks of STD and the other 28 weeks would have been under the LTD policy. That is like Dell going to work for 43 weeks and only trying to get paid for 16. I think sometimes it’s more important for the employer to get rid of the claim all together and that was attempted with my claim. They waited to even start the appeal until after the policy with my employer was terminated. I found enough proof (it took me 707 days) but I was paid for all 707 days and put back on claim for LTD benefits. My advice: read your contract before you sign it. The contract doesn’t say a single thing Dell will do for you. Only what you are paying them and that all contact will go through Dell. You can’t request to see what Reliance has saved to it’s files yourself. That is intentional. Those records won’t be the same. Dell Disability is just setting the expectations in their videos of exactly what they are going to do.

I have been paying for 37 years for a…

I have been paying for 37 years for a five-year disability insurance plan. After 2 1/2 years Hartford decided to stop paying for my disability. I was left no choice but to hire an attorney because of Hartford‘s greed. Dell and Schaeffer fought for me and won. My benefits have been reinstated thanks to their efforts. They have a great team that fought for me against a tyrant insurance company… Thank you guys I really appreciate it!

After a very long and frustrating ordeal to keep my LTD payments coming I decided to seek assistance from and attorney. After much research and asking those in the legal profession Dell and Schaefer seemed to be the top choice. I reached out and Alex Palamara was the attorney assigned to my case. All I can say is the experience was outstanding Both Alex and his Paralegal, Danielle Lauria were excellent to work with. They were very kind, concerned, understanding of my frustrations and treated me with the utmost respect. Communication was excellent with regular updates and telling me what I could expect in each stage of the process. Alex was also very straight forward with what to expect and no pie in the sky promises or expectations were made. In the end we won our case and I believe it was solely due to their experience and knowledge of not only the laws but the insurance companies as a whole. I would highly recommend them and am very grateful for the help they afforded to me . Why would you recommend Attorneys Dell & Schaefer?: I would recommend Dell and Schaefer especially Alex Palamara whom I worked with because of integrity, knowledge and understanding what their client has been/going through. The service provided was outstanding and ethical. Regardless of how many cases they are handling when you're talking with them they make you feel if yours is the only one and most important. Bottom line they are very great attorneys. What could we do to improve?: Honestly I think back and don't think you should change a thing.

Truly phenomenal attorneys.. I could not be happier

I retained Dell and Shaefer’s law firm for my long term disability case management over 12 months ago. I am usually not one to write reviews on attorneys ; as my experiences in the past .. although not many .. have not been great. However, I truly cannot say enough good things about their firm. I am going through one of the most difficult mental and medical times of my life. I have received nothing but kindness, compassion and prompt responses to any questions or concerns I ever have about my case. Gregory Dell one of the owners has written me himself after hours to answer my questions and to reassure me on various aspects of my case. I honestly don’t know any other attorney who takes the time to do that. His entire staff , his paralegals Danielle, my other attorney on his team ..are all so incredibly helpful. I recommend their services to anyone who needs help navigating the incredibly difficult world on long term disability insurance claims. I never thought I would need to use my policy or have the medical issues I am currently dealing with. I have been extremely impressed working with Steven Dell on my disability claim. He has been completely professional throughout the entire process. I first realized this in our initial contact when he very clearly reviewed what information he would require from me and how he might be able to help in the process. This was confirmed during a follow up call after he had reviewed the copious documents I had forwarded. I was a police officer for over 14…

I was a police officer for over 14 years with the same agency. I was hurt on duty and suffered career-ending injuries. I applied for long term disability and was approved but after two years I was denied based on the verbiage in the policy. My family was without any income coming in and I couldn't believe I was in this situation. I came across a video online with Gregory Dell and Stephen Jessup speaking about this very issue. I called Dell & Schaefer and they immediately started working on my case. Steven Jessup worked on my appeal letter and within six weeks of submitting the appeal letter the denial was reversed. Every team member that I had contact with was so helpful and so professional. Gregory Dell and Stephen Jessup treated me with civility and respect like I've never experienced. I have a bad habit of thinking of questions late at night or on the weekends. When I thought of a question I would send it in an email and I would always get a response within the hour no matter the time or day. I first spoke with Mr. Jessup 5 years ago, and I immediately felt confident that he was the man and the firm for the job! He was very professional, and understanding, and knowledgeable about my case. He told me it wouldn’t be easy, but he would do his best. Steve and Sonia kept me informed throughout the process, and were always pleasant and positive about the situations that would arise. Cigna is a very large company and very difficult to work with as Steve informed me, but he was persistent and confident, and always had me and my families best interest in mind. No one ever wants to be disabled - it completely changes your life and also affects the people you love. Living with disability is extremely challenging and stressful which is why having the best legal representation is so important. The financial stress that comes with living with a disabling condition is significant. Even if you are fortunate to be covered by a private or company disability policy you never feel secure as your disability benefits are not guaranteed regardless of your condition. Greg Dell and his staff greatly understand this and will do everything in their power to protect you. Greg has represented me for the past five years. He is an incredibly diligent attorney. If you find yourself in the same unfortunate situation that I am in, I can’t think of anyone that would be a better advocate then Greg.

Its simple...The Best!!!
