Product is good shipping sucks
Their product and flavors are great, but for the premium we're spending, you'd think they would offer better shipping. Plan at least 2 weeks for your shipment to arrive if you're within the US. Ridiculous.

No matter how many times you unsubscribe, and no matter how many times you reach out to support, they will continue to send you promotional and marketing emails. They do not care about you as a customer or the customer experience. It doesn’t matter how many hundreds of dollars you are spending with them. The last time I reached out about being removed from the email lists, the support agent canceled my subscription without notifying me. That felt intentional and personal.
I’ve been using the Whey Protein Isolate Cold-Filtration unflavored protein for a couple months. In general, I hate protein shakes but I have to supplement to meet dietary needs. I prefer to use unflavored products and mix them with whatever flavors I want. A scoop (30g protein!!) dissolves completely clear in cold water. It does not feel bulky. I have even added a scoop to a muffin recipe and crepe recipe (it dries things out just a little so adjust recipe accordingly). My favorite way to get a 30g protein boost is to mix 1 scoop with about 1/4 C water or oat milk, dissolve completely, and add coffee. It’s like drinking a latte. A lot of the negative reviews involve poor service but I haven’t had reason to tap customer service.
I got the orange creamsicle flavor and it had the most awful taste. I had my friend try it and she also said she had never tasted anything like it. Customer service said I had to pay for shipping and the bag had to be 60% full. If they are sending out products without tasting the batches to customers, they are going to keep loosing customers. No wonder why they dont have a review section on their actual website. I DO NOT recommend this brand.
Awful customer service. Just really sad to see a company go so sour. The customer service is as bad as it gets while trying to pretend they care. Orders are constantly wrong or late and they never refund or send the package priority for their mistake. Pathetic discounts and empty apologies. I have spent thousands and yet they give products away to insta fit people who don’t even care about the product they just get it for free. Garbage customer service from a garbage company.
I ordered with CranPlus pea/cranberry protein combo with Chai Latte stevia flavoring and a protein enzymes boot. The powder shipped quickly in a sturdy mylar bag. My powder is delicious - tastes just like a latte, mixes well with water, and is tolerated well. My only wish is that True would offer a cane sugar option as an alternative to stevia or sucralose. With that said, I appreciate being able to customize my powders, it makes all the difference.
I have placed many orders with them for over 10+ years and the customer service has become terrible. I placed an order on Monday and Tuesday I got a BS email from them that is a LEI, the order has NOT shipped on Tuesday, not Wed ,Thurs, but actually 5 FIVE days later on FRIDAY!!! I called TN on Thursday to see what was going on with my order and why the deceptive email/tracking #. First, when the WOMEN answered the phone I had to ask if this was TN. She is unprofessional by not saying that this is the company but when I asked if this was TN she was MS. ATTITUDE and said "well Yea who did you think it was". NO ONE can tell who it is UNLESS YOU answer the phone identifying the company, What a STUPID answer girl.Useless snowflakes for sure lacking in every sense. SHE had all the excuses and a poor ATTITUDE again, her specialty. I asked why the fake shipping tracking #is she said its their policy???? I had a simple order, no special blends, as she mentioned but it is obvious that TRUE NUTRITION IS NOW A F-ed up COMPANY that they have now perfected and will never give them my money on will not recommend to anyone again. The usual we get too big to give a dam about the customer. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is all they are about.
customer service sucks!!!
I don't know how many years I've been ordering from True Nutrition, but it's been more than a decade. The product has been consistently high quality, and I've never had a negative experience with customer service, shipping, delivery, or consistency of product quality. A family member recommended True Nutrition, and I stayed not only because of all the things I mentioned above, but also because of the company ethos, third-party testing/quality control, and in-house manufacturing. The same passion that drove the co-founders to launch True Nutrition over twenty years ago is still present today. That's why I remain a loyal customer with True Nutrition.
customer service is a disaster. They're rude as hell and if you write in to complain about something, they'll point to whatever tiny print to make it your fault. I ordered 3 bags of protein. Each bag was 1 pound. I specifically wanted it this way. I travel for work and I rather carry a small bag of protein. They sent a 3 pound bag which I didn’t order and then they pointed out to the tiny print saying that “…your order quantity will be combined into a single container when possible…” . I want what I ordered. At the end they made it my fault that I didn’t get what I ordered. Order No. 534173
I never write reviews...especially negative ones, but I couldn't help it here. I used to LOVE True Nutrition. I've been ordering from them for years. I found the receipt in my email from March of 2017. I have spent $1000s ($10,000s?) at this point, ordering protein every month for nearly 7 freaking years. At some point in the last year or so, I think they either got an investor or changed leadership. They rebuilt their website and ordering process. At first, I thought...great! But it's a disaster. The website is clunky as hell and their customer service is a disaster. They're rude as hell and if you write in to complain about something, they'll point to whatever tiny print is in their Ts&Cs to make it your fault. Plus, the prices have increased and my orders take 3x longer to be delivered. Right now, my order was marked as "fulfilled" on 12/22 and USPS says they're still waiting for the package to be dropped off 5 days later. I get that it's Christmas, but this is why I moved my subscription up by a week. I hate that I have to find a new protein brand. Ugh.
I bought Hydrolyzed Whey Protein High Grade and it arrived in a week or so. In essence, the product does not meet my expectations. First, in terms of flavor, it tastes like a watered down chocolate drink. Nothing like advertised. Second, it is very difficult to dissolve in water, and worse in milk. The only practical way I found thus far is to prepare the mix the night before with boiling water, stir actively for 10-15 minutes, and even so the resulting drink has residue in it, so it is not pleasant to the palate. In response, TN asked for photos of both the dry powder and once mixed with water so they can send those, they say, to quality assurance. Now I am stuck with this with 2 lbs for about a month. Time to go back to Sascha which, although more expensive, always met my expectations.
I ordered the Trueflavor Chocolate Fudge Brownie Egg White Protein and it was entirely too salty. I asked for a refund or simply a discount promo code to use on another product and they refused. Poor customer service.
Do Not Buy this Product. I got very sick from the vegan Protien. I do not think they are mixing the boosts together.
I never write negative reviews. However, this one needed to be said. I ordered this product because of it's clear indication of being free of both gluten and soy. Upon arrival of the product, the label clearly states the product is manufactured in a facility that handles both gluten and soy. Unfortunately, there are some of us that don't get to play games when it comes to these ingredients. The company's remedy? They point me to their return policy that says I must pay for return shipping of my unopened product for store credit. On top of that, I'm directed to a warning tab on the website that indicates the product isn't actually gluten and soy free. Shame on me for reading their product description indicating its free of these elements and being so lazy that I didn't click on every tab to find the hidden message. I like to support companies that at least make the attempt to do the right thing. This is not one of those companies.
The products themselves are great, but if anything goes wrong with your order, good luck getting it solved with the abysmal customer service. As other reviewers have said: If they screw up any aspect of your order, customer service will reject any responsibility and default to telling you it's YOUR fault. Regardless of circumstance, the customer is always wrong, and you will receive no form of assistance from customer support. The products themselves are great... If you can actually get it delivered to the correct address. Or if their buggy website was actually capable of processing a credit card payment. If you encounter any issue on their behalf, they will let you know there's nothing they can do to fix it, and "actually it's YOUR fault, have a great day!" There are plenty of better alternatives out there, don't waste your time or money.
Every other order has a problem. Just waited 9 days to get 8 containers (of powder that could've fit in 2) of the wrong product. Ordered French Vanilla, got Lemon Cake. It's not like those two are next to each other in a dropdown menu, or both start with F, they're not even close. Not at all surprised; obviously very tedious, manual, laborious, inefficient processes being used to fulfill orders. Order before the last one never shipped, had to hound them for a week and eventually just scrap it and start a new order. I don't know what's so difficult. Even their printed labels are blurry and faded, like they're using a printer from 2004 and it's always on its last few grains of toner. My $20 printer prints clearer labels on the same label stickers. It's a shame, too, could be an awesome company but they make it so friggin hard to want to buy from them.
This is a very high-quality product. I'm patience with the shipping times. The first time I ordered, it took two weeks, but the second time it came in three days. It depends on the shipping companies. I'm willing to wait for the amazing products. I love the way they let you customize your protein. I'm a female and I'm very concerned about what I put in my body. I use the Whey Protein hydrolyzed-ultra grade. It can be bitter, so I mix it in my smoothie for breakfast. I also use the egg white protein drink at night. I add the vitamin boost and beef collagen. The chocolate fudge brownie is to die for! I just ordered the Peri-MD supplement and looking foward to seeing if it can help with fatigue in 2 hour long weight lifting sessions and recover. Highly recommend! Carmell
The company makes a good product, but they are not upfront about how long it takes to ship. Instead, they make excuses after the fact when you're wondering where your product is. I paid $25 for overnight, last Thursday. It's Monday at 4pm and I have no product yet. When I emailed them, I got excuse after excuse and was told the delays are explained in their shipping information and FAQ's. Even after I explained that any information pertinent to a purchase should be on the purchase page, I still got excuses. They're killing their reputation by not being upfront with people who support their business. It's not very bright.
I placed my first order with True Nutrition on Oct 27, 2020. As a Canadian resident I was already expecting it would take a while to get the order, but it ended up taking 4 weeks (delivered Nov 27, 2020). A week after the order was supposedly shipped the tracking number showed no movement, so I reached out to customer support. It may not have been intentional, but their support rep came off as condescending, informing me as a new customer how the process works. They said they bundle up all Canadian orders and they then get split at the border so tracking would be updated at that time and then it should only take a few days from there. I finally got the order, and I will say that the correct items were delivered (2 plain soy protein powder bags and 4 flavour packs). The flavour packs are hit and miss, with the 'Cookies n Cream' being awful and the 'Chocolate Fudge Brownie' being quite good. My Flavour Ratings: Chocolate Fudge Brownie 8.5/10 Strawberry Banana Shake 8/10 Frdnch Vanilla 7.5/10 (Yes, that's how it's spelled, lol) Cookies N Cream 5/10 Even with the cost of shipping, it's still cheaper than anything else I can find, and there seems to be a lack of options for flavoured soy protein powders in Canada. So, I may order again from True Nutrition, but at least now I know to expect at least 3-4 weeks for delivery.
