I have purchased travel insurance through TID a few times now and purchased it as a Christmas present for my son and his girlfriend as they were travelling and they didn't think of it lol, and even had to claim once and it was it was so easy to claim no fuss. Next trip is in March next year so will be buying again thanks heaps

First time using TID, and paid the extra for nil excess, never made a claim before but all went well, communication was excellent throughout the process, definitely recommended to others.

I was very impressed that every step was followed up within the time frame specified, very efficient!

TID have always been my choice of travel insurance. They are extremely helpful, easy to deal with & quick to respond! My experiences with TID have been nothing but excellent!!! I will always continue to use TID for all of my future adventures :)

Thank you Shannon for the great service. I was dreading making a claim ....scared I would have to sacrifice my first born for compensation. However..TID were practical and supportive. A hideous pre holiday event was resolved quickly so I could go away with the matter resolved.

Took out policy and even paid extra for an additional item (Professional Drone) Provided exact wording what the item was and the cover was accepted. Item was stolen in transit we think or taken out of the box sometime before the return leg of the trip. They refused to cover it saying they don't cover certain items carried in the cargo hold of an aircraft which was fine but it didn't say it didn't cover a UAV. Myself and my partner and many of our friends travel a lot and 15 of us were recently overseas and I made sure not one of us used TID nor will In the future while I'm without replacement from TID. We used RAC. Much more professional and open and assured us what was covered. As expected we received a response with some bull about not covering certain equipment in cargo hold like cameras etc yet my item is considered an Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (not delicate) but they call it a camera just to get out of replacing it manipulating the policy wording to suit them so they can refuse the claim. Is this not why we take out insurance. They have responded to me agreeing that the item is indeed a UAV and not a camera and offered me a partial refund which suggests they know they may be incorrect. For now I strongly suggest to STAY CLEAR of TID but I will update with further developments and if they have come good on all online review forums. It's currently escalated.

Making claims is super easy and a real person will contact you by email for additional information. Always a pleasure to deal with :)

I have used TID every year for the last 6 years for trips varying from 2 weeks to 4 months - I've always found the booking/quotation process easy but I guess the proof is in the pudding... My most recent trip was the only time I have had to make a claim, the process was easy, well explained and funds settled in a reasonable time frame (about 2 weeks). Keep up the great work guys.

We would like to make comment on our experience with TID. We have had several policies over time with TID ( amongst others ) for our various trips. After having traveled through Seventy plus countries, this is the first time we have had to make a claim. Our recent trip to South America brought us credit card skimming, a handbag snatch, lost luggage and finally damaged luggage. All our claims were paid Promptly and in full as per the terms of our insurance. We made sure that we understood our policy correctly and did get police reports ( took us till 2 am with interpreter ) and airline documentation etc to support our claims. We couldn't be happier that there were no arguments or disputes over any of the detail, as we have read so many horror stories about travel insurance. I have used TID for many years and recently had to make my first claim with them for a pair of sunglasses I lost while kayaking on Halong Bay in Vietnam. The claim was denied as I hadn't made a report to the police or "other authorities". Unfortunately there are no water police on Halong Bay so who was I supposed to report it to? I informed the crew on our cruise boat and they just shrugged their shoulders. If I was going to try and defraud TID wouldn't you think I'd claim for something a bit more expensive than sunglasses? Like maybe a video camera? I thought TID were different but turns out they are just a typical insurance company that will use any technicality to get out paying a claim. So much for being a loyal customer with a good claims history. I will never use TID again and will be ensuring none of my friends or colleagues do either!

Just about everything covered in our policy, coupled with efficient staff in providing what we required.

I have used TID for 10 years... they cover everything I've needed. Only ever needed one claim (touchwood) and it was quick and easy to claim online! Always recommend to anyone traveling and would recommend to you as well!

I've bought 2 worldwide travel insurance policies with TID now and fell ill in Chile recently and made a claim in Feb 2016. I was unusually un-optimistic as you always hear about travel insurance companies being pretty ruthless and finding a loophole to not pay out a claim but everything with TID went through perfectly! I claimed online with all the required documents and that was that - within so many days the money was back in my account. Couldn't be happier! Thanks, TID!

I have used TID for all of my travel both domestic and overseas. No matter how many quotes I obtain TID always proves the best value at the right price. Claims are a breeze to process and customer service us excellent. Would recommend to all !!

Unfortunately my wife took very ill on a Mekong a River cruise, and was admitted to hospital in Phnom Penh. TID handled the claim, seamlessly, promptly and professionally.

Efficient and prompt claim procedure - will definitely use again.
