Ga naar Cicar

Door een vluchtvertraging in China kon mijn kameraad 2 dagen later aanwezig zijn in Lanzarote. Ik had al een wagen van bij Cicar. Dus ik met zijn vrouw naar de luchthaven, want alles was al betaald. Totaal geen begrip daar en zeker geen hulp. Zelfs een arrogant lachje. Ze kreeg hem niet mee omdat haar man hem geboekt heeft. Terwijl ze wel als chauffeur opstaat. Na 2 dagen kreeg zelfs haar man hem niet meer omdat je de auto binnen 24 uur moet ophalen. Nooit meer Topcar... Wij noemen het flopcar. Nu nog hopen dat ze het geld terugkrijgen.

Avons récupéré les informations et dû payer une assurance supplémentaire tout risque de 68 € pour 15 jours et avons du aller récupérer les clés à un autre endroit sans grande explication. Le GPS ne fonctionnait pas de retour en agence refus de changer de voiture car pas d'autres voitures avec un GPS. Vidange a 1200km. Pneus dégonflés...

Fantástica experiencia!!! Lo aconsejo totalmente. Habíamos reservado un descapotable pequeño, y nos dieron por el mismo precio un precioso TRoc, nuevecito. El trato también muy agradable, así que repetiremos.

Only with topcar this problem not with others

I booked a car on xpedia ( this company tried their best) but topcar is the worst company ever Don’t book with them My wife has no creditcard of herself So I did the booking I gave her my passport picture the booking confirmation and my creditcard that I used to book this car She is not allowed to collect this car It is paid in full until 3/8 20 days from now They said the car will be available 24 h after collection date How is this possible if you show up ? I can believe this is you don’t show up Other carcompany I don’t have this problem

Used it in Fuerteventura

Used it in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. Very nice service at the desk, not pushy, MENTIONED the availability of additional insurance, but didn't INSIST on it. That's very rare and itself, more than sufficient to write a great review :-) At the drop-off, quick inspection, friendly comments... After many many problems with other car rental companies, this experience felt like some fresh air!

TopCar Teneriffa Flughafen Süd

Habe zum ersten mal bei TopCar gebucht und war sehr angenehm überrascht. Zügige Abfertigung am Flughafen in Teneriffa. Parkplatz war leicht zu finden. Auto war sehr geplegt und sauber. Keine Probleme bei der Rückgabe.Schnelle Rückbuchung der Caution. Jederzeit wieder.Vielen Dank

Une fois mais pas deux!!

Ça ne mérite même pas 1 étoile. Nous avions réservés une c3 neuve et au moment de récupérer la voiture on nous a donné une vieille Opel corsa. Nous avons eu un problème de pneu et au garage impossible de réparer car la roue est trop vieille et pour finir à la fin du séjour le réservoir a cassé. Pour conclure ils nous ont pris la caution complète de 500€!! Je ne recommande VRAIMENT pas top car.

take photos of the rental cars condition with this company!

Everything was super at pick up, signing the contract and return of the car we had for 1week on gran canaria. (Left the car outside opening hours and left the key as advised) We have insurance from before that covers alot and did not buy the one they offers and without their insurance you leave a deposit (500euro). A few days after we return from our holiday a smaller amount was returned to my card without any notice from topcar. After trying to call them 4 times I then hide my number and they answered at last! Asked why my deposit was not return in full, they claimed we made damage on the front bumper. Lucky for us we filmed and took photos of the whole car on pick up and return that I could email them. In the end they apologized and gave the rest of my deposit back. The low score is to give future costumers the advice to document the cars condition and a statement that I will use other car rentals in the future because i have no trust in this company unfortunately.

Good value and no problems

Reserved a VW Polo or similar and got an almost new Dacia Sandero Stepway in excellent condition which is perhaps not as refined as a VW Polo but very roomy and well suited to the rugged La Palma terrain. At La Palma airport the staff were very helpful, polite and spoke good English. They provided 2 free child seats as promised which not all car hire companies offer. It was not difficult to find their counter in the car park under the airport terminal. If you have bought your own annual excess insurance cover (as I have) then you may decide not to opt for the Topcar full excess cover, however this also means as per their terms and conditions that you are actually charged 500 euros deposit on your credit card (can be more on more expensive car models) which should be refunded promptly upon return of the undamaged car, so you may gain or lose a little on any currency exchange changes. I used a Halifax Clarity credit card so I don't expect any additional international transaction charges. Fuel policy is same to same. Car still on hire so see how things go... Update 2/3/20 After 1 week I returned the car which performed faultlessly and it was accepted all smiles without any problems. There is a small "Disa" petrol station at the airport with fair prices - it can get quite busy with several cars queuing so arrive in good time. My credit card had the 500 euro deposit appear as refunded within 2 working days of returning the car to Topcar and I gained the equivalent of 2 UK pounds as the pound had slightly weakened during the week of hire. The way I look at the deposit requirement is that the hire car company was very competitive on price and trusting me with 10,000 euros worth of car with no credit history checks, so asking for a refundable 500 euro credit card payment was not unreasonable. A 500 euro excess amount when using your own excess insurance is not too bad - I've had to put up with a 1500 euro excess with another well known international car hire company. Also, the child seats provided were of high quality and baggage trolleys were readily available upon return of the car which not all airports/hire car companies think about. Thanks Topcar for allowing me to visit so much of the beautiful La Palma. Will use again.

Stay Clear.

Booked a car through Jet2 when booking our holiday that was fine no probs paid extra for insurance €7 per day had booked Hyundai Tucson was given older Vw Tiguan. Our prob came in the 2nd week We extended our holiday by a week through jet2. So had to extend car hire called Top Car at fuerteventura airport spoke to female was told that was fine would be €158 all in on the phone and only had to come to the airport to sign docs and pay the next day when car was due back if we hadn't extended stay. so turned up next day as told too. 2 males where on desk told me I had to pay €210 for the car as prices had changed. Both where extremely rude, unhelpful and just kept shrugging there shoulders. Having read previous reviews seems to of happened to a few people eventually got the car for €190 instead of the €158 that was quoted on the phone. Joke of a company quoting one price then charging another.

Haben letztes Jahr im Juni wieder bei…

Haben letztes Jahr im Juni wieder bei TOP CAR gebucht( waren seit 10 Jahren Kunde da), aber nun reicht es...sehr unpersöhnlich und man sollte mal wieder zu den gebuchten Auto eine zusätzliche Versicherung bezahlen, was nicht in den Geschäftsbestimmungen stand.Aber da man auf die schnelle kein anderes Auto bekommen konnte,musste man in den sauren Apfel beißen und zu allem kam noch dazu,das ich meine Titanflex Brille( Wert 500,-€) im Büro hab liegen lassen. Nach mehrmaligen Anrufen und hinfahren,wurde mir immer gesagt die Brille wäre nicht da( sehr unfreundliche Frauen) gut dann musste ich mir eine Ersatzbrille kaufen. Nach 14 Tagen Urlaub wieder zum Schalter um den Wagen abzugeben,gabe ich nochmals den netten Herren gefragt ob eine Titanflexbrille gefunden wurde und er macht die Schublade auf und zack war meine Brille da.Wir werden nicht mehr bei Top Car buchen,es müsste sich Personaltechnisch gewaltig was ändern.

GOOD BUT DEBITED RATHER THAN BLOCKED 500 EURO DEPOSIT

Collection and drop off were smooth. Friendly staff and car in very good condition. However, when collecting the car I was told that 500 Euros would be BLOCKED on my card to cover for any potential damage. That is fine as BLOCKING is normal practice. The rental went fine and the car was returned damage-free. It was only when I got back to the UK and checked my card statement that I discovered that they had actually taken the 500 Euros as a debit transaction. It was after a worrying few days that the 500 Euros were credited back onto my card. However I lost out on a small amount of money because of Euro exchange rate fluctuations in the days between the two transactions. I rent cars in Europe lots and it is normal practice to BLOCK Euros for potential damage rather that actually debit them. BLOCKING does not even show on your card when it is unblocked. If they had followed this normal practice I would not have lost money due to currency fluctuations.

La experiencia con TOP CAR fue genial! Alquilamos con ellos un coche durante el viaje que hice por Gran Canaria y todo fue estupendo. Nos dieron un coche super nuevo, con pocos kilómetros y muy limpio. Todas las condiciones estaban claras a la hora de contratar, ¡sin sorpresas! Política depósito gasolina lleno/lleno. Baja cantidad de depósito, 100€. SUPER RECOMENDABLE.

NO CAR

NO CAR, NO INFO☹️ Booked a car for 6 persons 2 month in advance, we received booking confirmation right away and thought everything was fine. When we came to pickup the car, in the southern airport, we had to stand in line for ONE HOUR just to be told, sorry NO CAR....??? We were very disappointed that we didn’t get information about this earlier👎😩 We had to take a taxi from the airport🚖 And now we have to walk to the top of Teide were we have planned and payed tours😳
