Cardiff east branch have been amazing Came to our new build and seeded the garden and the grass has been just amazing! Darren has been on call if we had any questions and came back to us really quickly! Quote was quick and easy and the work got done not long after. Gentleman that completed the work were lovely and good at what they do. We opt for the monthly direct debit same as family members and we are so far very happy. Cardiff east are a great team
What a fraudulent company.. taking money by DD and rarely showing up, no answer to calls.. just get yoru gardener to do maintenance, lot cheaper as these guys are fraudsters
Removed family cars from the drive to be told they’ve run out of weed killer!! 😡 then said I’ve not got an account, then said it was for a quote ….. terrible customer service I have got an account, I gave you the go ahead regardless of price, …. Will update ratings when/if completed.

This is a true review of a company that I should have never been talked into re-starting my direct debit. I previously cancelled the direct debit due to failed treatments and then cancelling treatments at the last minute, giving various reasons for not attending, even though they were happy to take the direct debits. After waiting weeks to get a response of what payments had been made against treatments carried out, they said that I owed them £13 ish, which I paid. I have never been shown proof of this so think it was a finger in the air price. I was assured things would improve so I set up my direct debit, against my wife’s opinion. My first treatment was to be carried out on the 29th June, 2022, so was surprised, on my arrival home from work on the 28th to find 2 cards through the door saying the treatment had been done. Now to fill everyone in, we have been building an extension for the past year with scaffolding and Heress fencing round the house, it’s a struggle to get the wheelie bin round to put grass cuttings in never mind their operative. So I had planned on clearing a route for them to get access. On checking the lawn there was not one granule to be seen on the lawn, my builders confirmed that nobody had been round the back lawn and they would know as they were putting up breeze blocks. On contacting Greenthumbs they assured it had been done and said they would send out their manager. Their manager who turned out to be an operative that has previously carried out treatments, now with a official Greenthumb jacket appeared and not surprisingly had difficulty accessing the back lawn, he said in his opinion it had been treated, my backside. So decision made, should have listened to my wife, direct debit cancelled and to Greenthumb, don’t ask me to contact you to resolve this. I will go with a trusted local lawn care company that can be trusted and are honest and reliable.You will not be extorting anymore money from me. Read Greenthunmb reviews people, there’s a common theme there.this is company was was good at the start, when I used them over 5 years ago but has fallen away with any quality of service. You have been warned.

Absolutely shocking company. We paid hundreds of pounds to have our front lawn re-seeded (lawn make-over). Our lawn is now worse than it was before we had green thumb to complete this job. When questioned on it, the manager was very defensive, said that they felt there was nothing wrong with the lawn (it’s approximately only 60% grass and the base of it is brown and mossy) and could not offer a refund. This was advertised as ‘the best lawn ever’. It is far from it. Complete waste of money. They also treated our lawn at the back without our permission, took the money for it and ruined that lawn too. This was the Bristol branch.

Have used Greenthumb (Lichfield). Now having used them now for a couple of year's the service is first class the results of my lawns speak for themselves Dean provides a good service listening to the Advice and regular watering (Which Helps) can't fault them.👍

All I can say is I echo all of the bad reviews below. Communication is non existent. I signed up to pay monthly so I could have the annual scarification and aeration done by them at a cheaper rate. This was in Jan 2021. Get to March 2022 and still only the quarterly weed and feed done and not done particularly well. I chased and chased but still no indication when it would be done so I cancelled my account a month ago. Zero communication regarding a refund which I work out is in the region of £500. Is this a family running the business who have no money to pay me back? Is there any security to be sure customers can get a refund? I am alarmed that another reviewer has been waiting for a refund from Basingstoke branch (my branch also) since Jan 2021.

I've used Greenthumb Fylde for 14 years. Ian and his team have transformed the lawns. It's so much easier to leave them to apply the correct treatments each year to keep the grass in excellent condition, rather than trying to do it myself. Highly recommended

All i can say is do not do it and go elsewhere.,They are terrible the customer service is shocking.,The treatments dont work and when you decide you do not want it no more because they do not do what they are being paid for they tell you that it could have been rectified....(But hold on why was it not done correctly to begin with..???.)..Then they will try and fob you off with there is an outstanding balance due and when you refuse to pay the made up sum apparently owed then the real people you are dealing with suddenly make an appearence with the shocking attitude talking to you like a bit of dirt and and then the final bit from them is threatening you with collection agencies...🤔

Have been a GreenThumb since 2010. During this period they have been good and they have been bad. Now they are just plain awful. While their treatments are good, customer service is appalling. It appears that they are having major problems (which they attribute to increase in business levels) which translates into poor customer service. If their service deteriorates any further all the new customers will be looking for alternatives as fast as they signed up for the service!! Hope they sort out their problems post haste otherwise I will be looking for an alternative.

Reading though the below sad reviews, I can only assume that the Green Thumb 'outlets' are franchises and it's the 'luck of the draw' as to the service you get when you sign up with particular branches in different areas of the country. I can obviously only speak from personal experience, but I contracted my local branch (Brentwood, Essex) to look after my lawn about two years ago, and I decided to pay for my treatments by bank transfer manually after each was done. (£19.50 per treatment / just over £70 each for scarification & aeration). Thus far, I have been very happy. They turn up on the day they notify me they'll be with me. I get told this, then get a text the day before telling me what time I can expect them (e.g. between 11am - 2pm), and they've never yet let me down (touching wood as I say this lol). Their operatives are polite and courteous, get the job done quickly and efficiently, and leave the area clean and clear, so overall I'm quite happy - but will obviously come back on here and let you all know if that ever changes. And if you want to hear me rant about someone...ask me about the 'service' I had recently upgrading my broadband with BT. GRRRRRRRR! lol

I have been a customer for over 10 years, the treatments are fine although my October treatment was carried out in December. Despite always paying the account on the day their email is received they regularly insist I haven’t paid. Emails from me with proof of payment provided by my bank are ignored, emails asking for a response are ignored, emails asking them to cancel my account are ignored. This company’s administration is a disgrace.

Sadly I have to downgrade my previous review of this company. Having stopped treatment in August, I am still waiting for a final statement of account despite sending them numerous reminders. They may be good at lawn care but they are not a business in any normal sense of that word.
