Looked after my garden for 6 - 7 years they've eventually ruined it what a waste of money, they ruin it then try charging me to put it right😡

Cardiff east branch have been amazing Came to our new build and seeded the garden and the grass has been just amazing! Darren has been on call if we had any questions and came back to us really quickly! Quote was quick and easy and the work got done not long after. Gentleman that completed the work were lovely and good at what they do. We opt for the monthly direct debit same as family members and we are so far very happy. Cardiff east are a great team
What a fraudulent company.. taking money by DD and rarely showing up, no answer to calls.. just get yoru gardener to do maintenance, lot cheaper as these guys are fraudsters
Removed family cars from the drive to be told they’ve run out of weed killer!! 😡 then said I’ve not got an account, then said it was for a quote ….. terrible customer service I have got an account, I gave you the go ahead regardless of price, …. Will update ratings when/if completed.

I would avoid. When I moved house, I informed them and paid off my outstanding balance (so I thought). 7 months later I get a threatening letter saying I hadn't paid my bill. This has taken 5 phone calls to sort out, and it took over a month to get a summary of charges. The outstanding balance was £23.10! In return they have lost my business. When I expressed this today to the lady on the phone she just ignored me and took payment. Poor customer care. I'll go elsewhere.

I paid on the day the treatment was carried out. I then had emails saying i hadnt paid, it took ages to get hold of someone and was told that where i had paid it was a franchise and the account was closed. If i wanted my money back i would have to get my bank to get it back for me but the debt to them remained. i have now had to pay again and will endeavour to get the money back although i am not hopeful. i have been a customer for 15 years and have just cancelled them due to their price hike from £20.00 to £31.50 which is disgusting. I rarely post reviews but on this occasion i felt others should know. CUSTOMER CARE IS ZERO

When I decided to move from the Ultimate to the Standard service, Greenthumb demanded that I owed them £252 in outstanding fees. I did not realise that they could do this. That is almost 50% of what I paid a year. They would not back down. I no longer trust this company and so am moving to an alternative supplier, Greensleeves. The Greensleeves quote is less than 25% what Greenthumb charge. Greenthumb attract you in saying the fees will be just x per month and then say our costs are y, you must pay the difference. No other company behave like that! I think that this is really shoddy - I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years but it counts for nothing with them and I wasn't even looking to move, just to change to a less intensive programme. Shame on them. I recommend that you look up the reviews for Greensleeves which are much better and use them instead. It'll save you money and aggravation.

Had letter from green thumb stating that my lawn treatment was going from £56.67per month to £65.25per month. This is a luxury that I can no longer afford, so I cancelled through the accepted means. Been told I owe them a lot of money…..my enquiries mean the price changed …..TWICE I know I am being ripped off……and I’m sure Green Thumb Head Office will be/or at least should be interested in how their operatives/franchise company’s work. ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO BE THREATENED IN THIS WAY

Had letter from green thumb stating that my lawn treatment was going from £19.00 per quarter to £31.00 per quarter. The last time they applied treatment it took exactly 5 minutes to apply, new manager must be having cash flow problems, well sorry mate I'm not going to be your solution. David Daisley

Impossible to contact. Will not answer the phone or reply to emails. They are a small hole in the wall firm operating out of a room on a business park in Llandudno. Do not hire them . Expensive , unreliable, and treatments poor. You have been warned.

I don't know what they are putting on my lawn, but it seems full of long grasses these days. Have not been happy with results since our small local family franchise was taken over..They are in and out in a blink of an eye, with no interaction with us,to discuss any problems, and now the final straw, they have hiked the price by 70%! Exploitation of rising costs, being pased on to customers.Unacceptable! Time to cancel and use alternative business.

I am disappointed with GreenThumb as the last three treatments have failed to work and their response and excuse was poor, total lack of customer care. I have just been advised that they are hiking the costs by 31%, I feel they will be losing a number of customers.

We have used Green Thumb for a few years now, mainly because an ex neighbour of ours was doing the work. Since then, they have got worse and worse following the retirement of our neighbour. Green Thumb told us our lawn (newly turfed in 2015) needed scarifying but also it needed resowing and organic topsoil. It did in parts because we have a neighbour's leylandii on the other side of our fence. However, we were away for the night for a funeral. They came after it had been pouring and they recommended scarifying, reseeding and then organic topsoil. When we got home we had soil over all our lawn and were told it would take at least six weeks for the grass to green. However, the grass that came through was mainly coarse grass and the lawn was lumpy all over - we now have big circles of coarse grass and weeds coming through. It is no longer flat. When we called the boss in (when we could actually get through to him) he said the lawn was too big to do everything by hand, they should have used a machine. They said they were coming back on 9th June but we were having a gardener come that day to increase the beds and it wasn't convenient. We have tried phoning Green Thumb, emailing and messaging - no-one answers. They then turned up on the 9th and they are saying they will come back later - but, honestly, we really don't want them back. A neighbour said they wanted to cancel their contract but couldn't communicate with them. I wanted to give them no stars actually.

Appalling company. They should be avoided at all costs. They are very expensive and add no value. They are inept, inefficient and lie to you. I left them and asked them to delete my data from all their records. Three times they say they did. Each time I keep getting communication. The last one saying they are coming to do a treatment when I’m no longer a customer! Don’t use them!
