Calls will not be put forward to you

Calls will not be put forward to you. They will just take a message. Lost lots of customers a result. Also promised refunds never materialised.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! They claim that their terms and conditions state you are renting a line from them AND paying for a package, which you will be in a contract while their parent company states that with SwitchboardFREE you are not in a contract. They require 30 days notice and will try to charge you for the months you didn't use the account or the month your cancellation. If you don't listen to this, they will have their Customer Service team send you threatening letters and later pass it on to a debt collection agency who will charge you 600% more than what the bill originally cost you. Edit due to reply from company: If you do not trust my word and believe a lie, have a look at the other reviews. There are MULTIPLE people on the same boat as us, and SwitchboardFREE believes that extortion is how they can conduct "business", I did not pay because the services were not to my liking and were not being used. We got an offer at a different company for a lot more, for a lot lower of a price. We took that deal instead, because it not only worked for us but showed more satisfactory feedback from our clients and customers. We don't simply just refuse to pay invoices for no reason, this company has many reviews with the same issues as I had. If it is a contracted service, their parent company should NOT be lying to customers and claiming they are not contracts.

Faulty software

Faulty software, riddled with bugs, dropped calls meaning we had to switch to another provider despite already committing to the phone number. When I tried to cancel they dragged their feet in order to get another months worth of subscription. Avoid unless you want to commit to a company that will create business risks in the future

Simply avoid

Simply avoid. Paid for year subscription with "unlimited service" only to be constantly chased for Β£0.30 negative balance on the account for what they call transferring calls to your actual phone number. When requested cancelation and porting number to another provider was informed that they will charge us Β£50 for porting. Reporting this company to the Ofcom as this is simply unjustified attempt for scamming leaving customer for more cash!

Really poor customer service.

Fine, until their reply about your cancellation request going into spam, they continue to charge you. Not used the service since July 2021 but despite that, no offer of any refund or gesture of goodwill. Very poor customer service. EDIT - In response of Switchboardfree's response: After the email arrived, considering this was within your ticket management system, no effort was made to follow it up. It's up to you to make sure your emails are not hitting Office 365's spam filter. A Service might have been provided, but has not been used (as you can see from the minutes in and out). I accept a small charge for the line rental for occupying the number, but it's unfair to charge and not refund a package cost when that package has not been used, and the cancellation request was legitimate.

Practises in Usuary

Practises in Usuary . Canceled my contract and wanted to pay outstanding. They wanted me to pay for the next month as the payment day just past. I said no. Now they are billing me for 3 months. Do not use they will make you debt slaves My name has changed my number was 01633 404000 I was willing to pay the outstanding. But why should I pay a month after that I'm not going to use. Then find I'm being charged further still like I stated at the time. I'm not paying as this is usary and against the law. I terminated the contract and you continue to add more debt

Poor Sales

I enquired about taking out a new service with Switchboard free, got through to the main reception, she was lovely and said she would get someone to call me back, that hasn't happened. I called again just now and again, no one from sales is available. Not a great start, especially for a potential new customer.

This one of the best companies I've very dealt with. Everything works effortlessly, it makes my small company seem like a multinational, and when I needed help, they were right there so sort it all out immediately. They even called me back later to be sure I was satisfied.
