We had our installation booked in today, they said there’s been a problem and will be in touch. First they said they need permission of the other tenants for drilling etc. Over email they then apologised after giving the landlords contact details and said this isn’t the issue, the issue is the phone pole is overloaded. I asked okay so can our internet be installed while the issue is looked into, to which they declined. They said the replacement of the phone pole could take up to 6 months, and when I asked how can we open our business without internet their reply was if we want to move to another provider we can but because we are using their phone number we have to pay £168 cancellation fee. We only took the service for the phone line on because they initially told us we can choose a number and then said we need to pay, to which we had to get it on our socials, menus etc. I raised the point so not only am I without internet for 6 months, they want money for moving providers to which they said the call was recorded and can be sent to me where I took the service on. Seems like a really small company that traps you into paying rather than focusing on customer service. I worked at tech support for talk talk and gave money if you are without internet. The only friendly person we spoken to is the person that signed us up and gave the installation date. We were told we could have an earlier date if there was a cancellation. The next person told us no they cannot do that and we can cancel if we’re not happy.
