SWA has a duopoly on flying to Fort Lauderdale. I had to change my flight. The price went from $188 to $464. Congratulations SWA you are now like the other airlines.

Poor customer service

Very poorly trained customer service representatives. Was told different policies by various reps regarding military travel. Customer relations rep put me on hold multiple times to look into issue and then came back and contradicted herself twice. Bottom line I’m out $200 for travel paid to Southwest I was told I’d be able to use at a later date.

I actually really like this airline

I actually really like this airline! I like the way they seat people, and that there isn’t a first class section or anything like that. The planes are always clean and the staff is always nice, plus I’ve never experienced any major delays or issues with this airline. Overall really good! If I could improve anything, I would add outlets to all the planes (and screens would be nice too but are lower on the list)

I fly SWA a Lot.

I fly Southwest/SWA a lot. Last year I took 30 flights on them. This year I have already taken 6. I love the Airline. SWA is Either a Super Amazing Flight. Or a horrible experience. So if you take 1 Southwest Airlines flight and make up your mind on them then I think you should try them again. But, I’m not you so you decide if you will give them another chance.👍🏼 I love the Airline so I think you should give them a try!🤩😄👏

Jose Rivero Navarette 18419 WAS. THE. BEST!!!!! We arrived in Southwest Airport in Fort Myers Beach Fl. He helped transport my father in law through the airport was helpful kind with great suggestions for our week in Fort Myers Beach FL. On our return flight home he was checking in bags and again very kind personable and remembered us. What a great experience. He is a wonderful representative of SW Airlines!

We had the most excellent South West…

We had the most excellent South West airline employee Jose Rivera badge #18419. He was excellent coming to Fort Myers Florida with wheelchair transport for my 90 year old father on 2-10-20 and he was our curb side check in going home on 2-14-20. He was kind, personable, and very helpful. You are so lucky to have him. He was EXCELLENT!!!! Lee Ann Booher

Flight Attendants in Desperate Need of Sensitivity Training!!!!

I was travelling last weekend with someone who is not the most calm flyer to begin with and has recently been diagnosed with extreme social anxiety and depression. I understand that the boarding process is such that there are no assigned seats and we were among the last to board. But because of this we could not find a seat together. When I explained our situation to the flight attendant and asked for help to find us someone who may be willing to switch seats he sneered at us. My companion took an empty seat and began to have a panic attack and start crying. The same flight attendant snickered, yes you read it right....snickered and rolled his eyes. Fortunately a very considerate passenger offered to change seats to help us out. Later in the flight, the same attendant asked our row if we wanted anything to drink. We declined because we had our own water bottle. We went to look for it and could not find the water so when he returned to deliver our row mate her beverage, we asked for a soda. He snapped at us and said "Didnt I just ask if you wanted something?" I explained that we could not find our water and he looked at me and said "Yeah right! Do you want something too?" I declined and then he stated "Are you sure now?" in a very patronizing and taunting voice. I declined again. The flight attendant did not return with my companions drink for 45 minutes. Needless to say, for the remainder of the 5 hour flight we did not dare to bother him for any more beverages. I was horrified that he could treat someone so terribly when they are clearly distressed. This was my first time flying Southwest and it will absolutely be my last time.

They say “ no charge for changes”.

They say “ no charge for changes”. I just tried to move our return flight up one day and they wanted to charge me almost $900.00! The whole trip was only $1,200.00 to start with!! Unreal.

Southwest is my favorite airline!

Southwest is my favorite airline and first choice. Best pricing and direct flights out of Milwaukee. Fun crew and laid back especially on flights to Orlando. 2 checked bags is great. Good customer service. I like the ability to select our own seats. I’ve done early board a number of times which works great. Orlando though with early bird I end up in the B group and between A and B group is family boarding so I might be boarding after 70 other people. Flights are usually on time. Had one flight delayed do to a mechanical issue, we were provided a $100 certificate for future use. Certificate was easy to use. Just got back from ft Lauderdale yesterday after a cruise and southwest allowed me to check my bags in approx 6 hrs before my flight. Overall great airline. Only wish list is bring back direct flights from Milwaukee to Minneapolis.

Never get Early Bird Check-in

Never get Early Bird Check-in! It’s a scam. Bought this for $25 to “get a better boarding position and automatic check-in” 36 hours before the flight but only got B28. Really?!? Which means 88 other people also got this and I did not really get a “better boarding position” for my $25. Even spoke with Felicia the supervisor who tried to defend this deceitful practice and said she couldn’t refund or do anything about it. I travel every week for work and from now on Delta will be my choice airline.

Not having assigned seats is terrible

If you’re flying with someone you’d like to sit next to don’t use this airline!!! You have to check in immediately to find seats together. I went on a flight with my fiancée and we had to sit separately because of our late check in. It was very frustrating and makes me not want to fly this airline ever again. All the middle seats fill up first so if you’re in the C boarding group you miss out.

I had the absolute worst experience…

I had the absolute worst experience ever with South West airlines- Houston. I waited at baggage claim for over 30 minutes for my bag which never came while over the speaker the announcer called for the owner of a crown royal bag. As you may know Crown Royal is a liquor that comes in a purple and gold bag but this couldn’t be my bag even though it was purple and gold it clearly said Betsy Johnson all over it. I guess that was a funny joke for the employees to yell on the loud speaker that owner of a crown royal bag needed to come to the service desk. After realizing my bag was not coming I was directed to a room in the back where I inquired about the location of the bag. The airport staff then said oh you’re the owner of the Crown Royal bag and began to giggle. They informed that my bag fell and was ran over and some of my stuff have been destroyed with not even the smallest hint of remorse. My bag was literally destroyed to the point all the clothes and shoes In it were ripped to shreds/ destroyed. When I became angry the south west employee Danny asked me “ what are you so mad about it’s not like we are not going to cut you a check”. I explained to the worker that I am in a city I have never been to with absolutely nothing to wear and all my belongings destroyed. The employee began to tell me how southwest is a million dollar company & they have no problem cutting a check as if this was suppose to make me feel better. The employee then told me it happens all the time due to southwest handling so much luggage on a daily basis and they just cut a check. The employees asked me to go through my bag and damages and asked me to price the cost of each item. The south west employee sat on the computer googled my items one by one while making comments like “ woah you really paid $200 for that ?” and arguing with me over the amount I paid for each item saying things like “ well they have it for cheaper at this store”. The worker also went as far to turn to his employee and say “ I don’t even argue with these people” After the employee calculated what he felt I deserved for my belongings he wrote a check for $620 and told me I should just go to the mall & buy new items. The employee told me I can go to chase bank and cash the check the same day which was a lie. I went to chase bank and they told me they could not cash check because south west had to verify it and no one answered the phone. I was not able to cash check until I returned home from my vacation. The customer was absolutely terrible and this was a major I’m convenience and embarrassing experience. I do not recommend Southwest Airlines to any one.

I fly whenever possible on Southwest

I fly whenever possible on Southwest. My two complaints: They have taken away many of the non stop flights from IAD, and even Reagan National to the places I travel frequently. And #2, the sales showing fares at $59 (for example) and up. Well I have yet to find a $59 fare out of IAD. But it's ON TIME, I haven't lost luggage (knock on wood), the staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. And the one or two times I have experienced a mechanical, or even weather delay, they have sure done all they can to take care of the problem and get us on our way as soon as possible. Thank you Southwest.

Whenever I fly with Southwest Airlines

Whenever I fly with Southwest Airlines, I feel "Special". Their pilots, attendants, and crew are very courteous and professional They do their best to accommodate you the best. They are attentive to any detail during the trip, giving you the best comfort and security. The overall of the fly is excellent. Besides, they are ready to help with any inconvenience. On one occasion, my family had to change flies at the last minute, and they graciously, re-scheduled the fly without any penalty. Thank you, SouthWest for your good job, and Customer Satisfaction.

I will never book with southwest again

I will never book with southwest again. Today i showed up at ft lauderdale airport to catch a flight to buffalo ny. The airport in buffalo was closed due to a power outage. Which meant i had to catch a different flight however while in line to book this other flight the person before was allowed to stand at the ticket counter and argue with the attendant for over an hour. Meanwhile im watching all the other flights become sold out online. So now when its my turn they say tomorrow will be the earliest they can fly me back home. Meanwhile my fiance and i are stranded in a unfamiliar city with no luggage because they sent my bags to baltimore. They offered no compensation for the situation. As this issue is causing me to miss 2 shifts at work. We have nowhere to stay no where to get there ...they basically told us sorry but u have to figure this out on your own. We dont have a peice of clothing...a tooth brush and nowhere to sleep. This is beyond inconvenient it is in humane. They have completely ruin my experience. Might i add they knew that buffalo ny was experiencing high wind and the power outage and did not contact me what so ever. This airline has cost me a grave amount of money due to the lack of communication with thier customer and that is not right

I've been meaning to review Southwest…

I've been meaning to review Southwest for years. Just a great experience every time, and the one time I was significantly delayed due to weather, I received a $100 gift card in the mail a few weeks later. They're pretty liberal with the free drink coupons too.

I received a LUV REWARD FOR $400

I received a LUV REWARD FOR $400. The coupon expired on 11/24. I tried getting my Reward extended and customer service told me I couldn’t after the guy I previously spoke with told me I could! I will never in my life fly with Southwest ever again! Their customer service agents are disgustingly rude! I spoke with Elaine and she hung up on me!!! GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is ridiculous.

Don’t buy early bird check in

Don’t buy early bird check in, it is cost $20 extra and they will giving you the A45 or more, do it your self 24 hours before and getting better position, don’t be a victim of Southwest Airline. Bad airlines company.

I just started using Southwest Airlines…

I just started using Southwest Airlines hotel reservations and booked a hotel which they stated was rated 7 - good. This hotel, microtel by Wyndham in Philadelphia is horrible! Not only is there no parking, no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker but we found a dirty bathroom and half dressed girls standing in the doorway. Front desk was miserable. I decided to checked the rating on other websites and found this hotel was rated 5.6...not 7!!! Beware of liars!!

We had to cancel our vacation…

We had to cancel our vacation reservation and when we tried to rebook it for the same time the following year, we were told the funds had expired because they go by the purchase date not the travel date. They said they would give us a voucher for $200.00 less than the $500.00 interest free loan we gave them. I guess a few keystrokes costs $200.00. I'm a retired construction worker with no pension or 401k and my wife is a server at a restaurant making $6.00 and hour. The cold corporate response we got was, "No exceptions". They say how customer friendly they are but you better read the fine print or you'll be sorry. We found out the hard way that they aren't so friendly. Ouch!
