Lies about all cancelations

Lies about all cancelations. Never can take the blame for the operational problems. Leaving all their passengers stranded. Trying to blame it on weather air traffic control when no other airlines had nearly any where close to the amount of cancelations that southwest has had. Even the Federal aviation administration called them out

They are a great airline

They are a great airline. Let’s hope they value freedom for their employees and do away with vaccine mandates. It’s nonsense and employees should have the freedom to refuse and not lose their jobs.

Do human rights mean anything anymore.

The only reason I’m giving them one star is because I had to! Why aren’t you being honest with your customers? The real reason you are cancelling flights is because you are mandating a vaccine that hasn’t been approved. It’s time to use your common sense rather than follow government tyranny! Is this the kind of respect you have for your employees? Sad sad sad!

Cancelled a flight after boarding us…

Cancelled a flight after boarding us because they couldn't get a pilot. Next 2.5 days sold out if flights and cancelling flights continue. No choice but to drive 4.5 hours and fly out on an allegiant flight. Used to love Southwest... Now I'm cancelling my card and finding someone else to fly. At least when allegiant cancelled my flight I got 900 in compensations for my family of 3 immediately after cancellation in addition to credit and a refund. Southwest will get back to me in 10-12 days and I'm not feeling hopeful.

Southwest Airlines is "THE WORST"

Never, Never, Never be a customer of Southwest Airlines. They are the worst. I will never be a customer of Southwest Airlines again! As well as many others, my flight was cancelled at 12:00 am at night on the morning that I was to fly out. I tried calling to no avail. So, I decided to drive 3 1/2 hours to my connection flight and on my way there when I was within 50 miles of the airport they rebooked my entire flight. When I arrived at the airport I had to stand in a long line for 3 hours for the full service to get put back on my connection flight only to be treated like a dog and that it was my fault. They would not put me on the connection flight when I knew they had my seat available and gave it to someone else. Awful, Horrible, Rude customer service. They wasted my time. So how can they cancel flights but still rebook them for another time? Makes you wonder what was really happening. There was no severe weather where I'm located or where I was going, it was all sunshine. Story changed to not enough staff.

Southwest has quickly become the worst…

Southwest has quickly become the worst airline. My last two flights I have booked a non stop flight to Phoenix and both times they have switched my flights to having one or two stops. This particular time I received an email at 1 am stating my flight has been canceled for no reason. My wife has been on the phone for more then 9 hrs trying to talk to a representative and still no one has answered. At this time news outlets has stated that due to weather and air traffic control was the issue, so I drive to the airport and asked myself. They stated is was due to staffing issues? Why wouldnt they know that at 9pm when i last checked the flight status? When I talked to the ticket agent (Nicole) I was greeted with condescending answers and a attitude. Thanks again Southwest!! So they rescheduled my flight- I know leave Tuesday, I have lost 2 days of my vacation, my rental car, and my time from work. As someone who works with the public my time is limited and for Southwest to show no remorse in their actions to help me. I will never fly Southwest again!!

THIS COMPANY HAS HORRIBLE ETHICAL PRACTICES, AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, CLAIMS IT WAS WEATHER RELATED, WHEN IN FACT, THEY THREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE DOGS. They cancelled my flight - kept the money

They cancelled my flight on a return trip home then rebooked me for a return trip 2 days later... from Grand Rapids MI. Yup... 2 days... Missing 2 days of work... Two days of pets left at home... Gues what ... No refunds.... FOR THEIR MISTAKES. It's morally bankrupt. i paid 800.00 for replacement tickets.. Anything you pay for, that the vendor fails to deliver, deserves a refund regardless. Myself and my company will be using another airline for now on.

Wish I could give less than 1 star

Wish I could give less than 1 star. Employees chose this weekend to protest vaccine mandates by not showing up for work, punishing passengers in the process. Shameful. I am done with air travel. Elderly people stranded. Parents missing their child's wedding. Individuals with fragile health stuck in wheelchairs for hours. I hope those who chose to "no show" to make your self-serving point suffer some consequences.

80 year olds sleeping in wheelchairs due to flight cancellations

I’ve not flown Southwest for over a decade and gave them a try to Mexico. So? Here is sit trying to get to Sacramento and I’m reminded Why I stopped flying them. There Are hundreds of people stranded here from yesterday and still not getting out today/. Elderly people… people in wheelchairs. It’s horrible. So, they don’t offer hotel, They don’t offer getting them out on any other airline, they say, ‘ Sorry we will get you on the next flight out…. Monday!’ That puts these folks here for 4 days waiting for a connecting. Them NOT telling them in time so they can’t get out tonight either so it’s too late for them to rebook themselves on another airline. People are missing family reunions, Funerals…. Weekend plans they actually have to be back at work the day they’ll finally get out. All because they canceled flights due to a pilot shortage. If an airline Of this caliber can’t predict their employee access? They shouldn’t accept people’s money! Travel is too expensive and important to be operated like this! And then not care and say, sorry! How could they make 80 year olds sleep in wheelchairs and not offer hotel! Unbelievable…. Incredibly unbelievable. Southwest should be shut down or change their policies and take care of their customers when they Screw up! ! Send them to hotel… rebook them on other airlines and full refund.

I was planning on going to have my…

I was planning on going to have my first extended family vacation this weekend. It was going to be the absolute best week of my life…. But Southwest decided it would be a good idea to cancel my and my whole family’s flight to Florida. Not only did we get screwed over there aren’t any flights available until Monday. And over course people have to have absolutely horrible human decency and raise the available one way tickets to $2,000.

I love Southwest Airlines

I love Southwest Airlines. I actually wouldn’t chose to voluntarily fly with any other company. I’ve flown with other companies and It made me hate flying. But Southwest doesn’t not try to squeeze money out of you. They have free choice seating, free snacks, roomy seating and They don’t hold you hostage in a plane once it lands! They really are consistent with their timing and schedules. I really love southwest. So much so I searched out a place to make this review ! They deserve it for changing my thoughts on flying .

STOLEN ITEMS!!!!

On 09/10/21, we flew to Las Vegas from Kansas City. Immediately after checking in at the airport, our flight was cancelled. They placed us on a different flight but would not guarantee our luggage would make the same flight! The new flight routed us through Denver and Salt Lake, with 2 delays along the way. We arrived in Vegas much later than expected. My husband's luggage arrived as scheduled, without incident. My luggage, however, did not arrive nor could the baggage service office tell me where my luggage was or when it would arrive. As they struggled to track my luggage for over an hour, the baggage service office informed, my bag should be arriving on carousel 1, 2 4 or 6. How they did not know which one is baffling. Surprisingly, it did arrive on one of those carousels but they could not tell me what happened or why. Frustrated with the entire process, we headed to our hotel to meet our party. Once we arrived it was quickly discovered, my bag was in complete disarray with many items missing. All of my jewelry, lotions and perfume...GONE! My husband called Southwest in an attempt to gain instruction/insight on what to do next. We were told, they would file a claim but do not cover lost or damaged items. Note, my items were not lost or damaged, they were STOLEN by an employee! I have attempted to contact a claims specialist daily but have been unsuccessful. i have asked for someone to contact me, repeatedly, with nothing in return. I have been told, with an automated response, a claims specialist has 30 days to respond to each inquiry! Meanwhile, my items are gone and Southwest Airlines seems perfectly content with staffing those who commit felony theft. UNBELIEVABLE!

'WORST' EXPERIENCE!

This was my first experience with Southwest Airlines and it was an absolute disaster and I would never book any flight with Southwest Airlines. I booked my flight from New York to LA and as Southwest is a cheaper airline to opt to make my flight reservation with it. On my boarding day, the flight was late, and even after waiting for 3+ hours at the airport, there was no update about the flight. I had to reach by that day so I made a flight reservation of the very next available airline to Las Vegas. At the airport, they asked for an exorbitant amount so I look up an online flight booking portal and booked a flight with Jetblue Airline at a very cheaper rate. Cancelled our direct flight last minute…

Cancelled our direct flight last minute with no reason and no solution. Rebooked us to a flight the next day that was NOT direct or made any sense flight route wise (9+ hour travel day versus 4). Customer service didn’t offer any help. Am going to have to think very hard about taking another southwest flight again. Would give them negative stars if I could

Don't care about customer

Don't care about customer, I was 2 minutes late, the door was still open and they sent other people in front of me. I had my 3 year old son but they don't allow me because I was 2 minutes late. No courtesy, not going to fly with this and it was a connected flight from dubai. I was struggling with 3 year old. I will never recommend. Happened on August 8 2021
