80 year olds sleeping in wheelchairs due to flight cancellations

I’ve not flown Southwest for over a decade and gave them a try to Mexico. So? Here is sit trying to get to Sacramento and I’m reminded Why I stopped flying them. There Are hundreds of people stranded here from yesterday and still not getting out today/. Elderly people… people in wheelchairs. It’s horrible. So, they don’t offer hotel, They don’t offer getting them out on any other airline, they say, ‘ Sorry we will get you on the next flight out…. Monday!’ That puts these folks here for 4 days waiting for a connecting. Them NOT telling them in time so they can’t get out tonight either so it’s too late for them to rebook themselves on another airline. People are missing family reunions, Funerals…. Weekend plans they actually have to be back at work the day they’ll finally get out. All because they canceled flights due to a pilot shortage. If an airline Of this caliber can’t predict their employee access? They shouldn’t accept people’s money! Travel is too expensive and important to be operated like this! And then not care and say, sorry! How could they make 80 year olds sleep in wheelchairs and not offer hotel! Unbelievable…. Incredibly unbelievable. Southwest should be shut down or change their policies and take care of their customers when they Screw up! ! Send them to hotel… rebook them on other airlines and full refund.
