I ordered a piano sectional from an online furniture distributor by the name of Soka Home approximately the 2nd week of December 2024 and was told at the time after paying in full with my credit card that the approximate arrival date would be the second week of January 2025.
The first week of January, I followed up with Soka Home as to the date of arrival and was told there would be a month delay and I wouldn't receive my sectional until February 2025, so I decided to wait. If I hadn't followed up at that time,I wonder if the company would have informed me of this one month delay. The last week of January, I followed up again via email, but did not receive a reply. A few days later, I sent another email and received a reply a few days later on February 5th, letting me know that it's going to be another 13 days for my furniture delivery. When I requested a more specific date of delivery, instead of the vague answers that I was typically given, they could provide that. My son informed me that companies, in fact, do know, when ordered items are arriving.
After going back and forth with the representative on the phone, who was
unable to give me an answer, I requested to speak with a supervisor, but was told
there was no supervisor available and a
message will be relayed to him or her. After almost 2 months of back and forth due to lack of transparency and not getting clear specific answers, i decided to cancel my order. I let Soka Home know that I am giving them 48 hours to respond to my email, requesting a full refund and if I don't receive a reply back I am filing a dispute with my credit card company.
