I've had an account with you for a number of years on a dual fuel bases. The smart electricity meter you installed failed some 3-4years ago and despite repeated calls to your customer services who always say that it will be fixed, absolutely no action has resulted and we still have a non functioning smart electricity meter 4 years after initially reporting the problem to you. Please can you act on this as a priority given how long you have ignored this problem.

It's not the company that's great. Just one man called Jordan. I first started this quest 3 months ago. The person I spoke with was rude and insisted I have a smart meter. We all know that over 3 million are not smart and only save money for the company, not consumers...if they work at all. I also pointed out that smart meters are not compulsory. I have been trying to make an official complaint since then without success. I have spoken on the phone with several people who have not registered a complaint but tried to change my tariff for me. At last today Jordan has done this for me I hope. If he actually has , he deserves more than 5 stars. So energy is like Thames water... Almost sunk. I'll update if my tariff doesn't change. In the meantime..THANK YOU JORDAN...you must be one of the few who make So energy work. Zero stars overall for So. It should be called "So what?" I disagree that you are always here to help. You haven't been here for me for 3 months .I am sure I have spent more on energy during this time as my tariff wasn't changed until yesterday. I also wonder why you have responded to this review almost instantly when it took me three months to get an almost satisfactory response Jim Crellin
Decent supplier have been with them for about 2 years. Haven't used much of customer care feature, but rates are competitive. They helped us set up the smart meters at home.
Easy to contact by phone as I could not find a way of swapping from a variable to fixed rate on the website. Very helpful agent. Clear explanations and detail given. Swap done easily.
Easy to upgrade, price i could argue but they will all be the same.
Ok doing online but very difficult to get to talk with customer service members by phone.
The lady I spoke to at Customer Services was very helpful and e-mailed some missing bills to me after our conversation had ended, which resolved the issue.

Although my query was handled well and to my satisfaction, the initial need for any communication from and to SO Energy was totally unnecessary! If anyone in their administration department took time to read any of my replies to their emails, requesting information about my gas usage, then there wouldn't be any wasted emails, photo's and phone calls at all. Because my property has no Gas Appliances installed, SO Energy seem to find it difficult to understand that my Gas Meter reading doesn't change from month to month; They even made arrangements for the Meter to be changed which again prompted a phone call from me to explain, once more, that there is nothing wrong with the Meter!
Sorted my request to change payment plan
The company do not push me to have what I do not need i.e. smart meter. I am happy doing my own readings and checking the bill which is always on time. Telephone staff also very friendly and patient.
