After initial very frustrating difficulties with the website and customer service phone line, I eventually got in touch with a difference customer service officer who was excellent and sorted out our switch to the new tariff. If I could split my rating, initially it would be one star at best, but then I managed to speak to someone else who thoroughly deserved a 5*
The young man who called me was very pleasant but talked very quickly and I had difficulty understanding him because of his accent

I get monthly reminders to submit my meter reading(s) for my low priced fixed rate Dual fuel to ensure up to date accurate Bill's. Very pleased with last years tariff prices. Have just renewed next 12 months fixed rate Dual Fuel Deal. Would certainly 100% recommend So Energy, they keep you well informed (Including your rights should you want to leave for any reason).
From 2 weeks before I moved, I phoned SO Energy twice to tell them my plans and of my desire to remain an SO Energy customer. I heard nothing further. Then after my move, I spent many hours (and I mean that) over several days ‘talking’ to your robotic chat system, which I found to be so frustrating and useless. At one stage, it kept saying that it didn’t recognise my postal code ( said it was invalid)! To be honest, at that stage I was wondering why I was choosing to stay with SO Energy. Then, yesterday afternoon came a beacon of light in the form of a customer advisor named, I think , Yasrh. He was absolutely brilliant. Please promote him, give him a better paid job training all the other useless customer advisors I encountered and to oversee the overhaul of your current robotic chat system. I would love to know what action you take as a result of these comments.

I called to renew my yearly fixed tariff, and the the staff that assisted me, explained everything clearly.
So Energy showed me the best energy tariff
So Energy provides a great service and so easy to communicate with. On renewing my contract they are not the cheapest provider on the comparison website but from experience I prefer to choose service over cost. A choice of contracts are offered at point of renewal. Receiving regular updates on electricity supply and status on my account, reminders to provide meter readings easily, and have been easy to contact in person should I need to ask anything. I am pleased to renew with So Energy again.
why are they pushing to renew and there is still 50 days left on my account and the calls show on my phone as suspected spam lol
