I was introduced to this company by Money Supermarket.com, but wish that I had not been. The company's customer service is third rate, not fit for purpose and almost non-existent. Their attitude is unhelpful, unfriendly and arrogant. Do not sign up with this company! Personally, I can't wait to transfer my account to another energy supplier.

I made a request and it was actioned in a day. So I’m very pleased
i rang so energy to arrange for myself to be put on my dads account as he is at a age where he struggling to keep on top of his bills when i called i got to speak to a lovely and very helpful lady called Jacqui who was so pleasant and understanding to the situation and after a few minutes everything was sorted i also asked her about bringing my dads gas over to so energy to which she advised on how to do this, which was go on so website and could do it on . now me not being completely technically minded had ago and after about 10 minutes gave as i wasn't sure where i needed to be so i rung so energy back and spoke to another lovely lady called Ellie and explained what i was trying to do and she was so helpful understanding especially after i had explained that i had spoken to Jacqui and had tried to do it online no avail. After a couple of minutes on hold so she could talk to Jaqcui she came back and we started the process to get my dads gas brought over to so energy as he was already having his electric supplied by so energy. while doing this and inbetween questions i got talking to Ellie and said to her that i was very highly impressed with so energy and now considering when the time comes to change both my gas and electric to so energy, to which Ellie was very pleasant and thanked me for that and said it would'nt be a problem for that to be done. so now its a case of waiting for the task team to get in touch to get the gas change done. please can both Jacqui and Ellie be given a pat on the back for their pleasant friendly welcoming approach to you're customers their service is absolutely excellnt!!!!!!
Went on to organise fixed rate for year and Jenny was extremely helpful. She did offer 1 or 2 year fixed and gave me all rates. Opted for one year fixed. Jenny was very patient and explicit which I truly appreciated.
Will from the customer care team has been very good in resolving my issues. I certainly recommend Will and any colleagues like him.
No nonsense, and no smart meyet
Edit on 18th July: There is, in fact, no email from Max, or anyone else from So Energy. My rating stands. Appalling. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I’ve received. I simply wanted to transfer my online account to my husband’s name, but was told we’d need to complete a "move out" form, despite the fact that we are not moving! This process felt unnecessarily complicated, so I decided to leave the account in my name and allow my husband to use my login details instead. To my surprise, I was then charged an early exit fee (£100) and my account was marked as "sorry you are leaving us", despite never requesting to cancel the service. This happened at the end of May/beginning of June 2025. Since then, I have contacted customer service twice to clarify that we are not moving and to request the cancellation of the "move out" and the associated early exit fee. Each time, I was assured the issue had been resolved and the refund would be processed. As of today (18th July), no refund has been issued and the account still incorrectly shows that we are leaving. The customer service experience has been appalling, repeated empty promises with no actual follow-through. It feels like advisors say whatever is necessary to end the chat, without actually taking action. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Biggest mistake transferring to So Energy. I read reviews and must say very impressive. Not good for me. The transfer appeared faultless or so it seemed. Then a month after the transfer my old energy supplier billed me for my month of electricity - So Energy had not checked the address correctly and I was being supplied for my Gas but not my electricity. I wanted one Energy provider to do both utilities ( makes sense) Now I have had to sit and make 4 phone calls to sort out this mess- who knows whose bill I’ve been paying??? Hopefully this will be resolved- who knows
