James and the Smart Energy team were great. They had all the information to hand and created a plan ready for our meet. The installation was quick and well done with great communication throughout. Overall a very simple and easy switch to solar.

I’ve recently had a Smart Energy solar system installed in my property. A short time after installation I had an issue with my cooktop. After checking fuse box had not tripped I came to the conclusion the cooktop was broken. Approx $600 later I was informed by an electrician that the cooktop was not broken. Instead he stated the fuse box was not re-wired correctly. I have brought this to the attention of Smart Energy and for over 2 weeks I’m still waiting on a reply My waning to anyone thinking of installing with me Smart Energy is that they will brag about their outstanding customer service after installation. However, in reality I’ve yet to see any. Regards, STILL WAITING!!!

We have been very happy with the process of having a solar battery installed by Smart Energy. From the initial consultation, through to booking a time to install the battery. Communication was very good. The install site was left clean and tidy. Thank you.

I found that the process was made easy for me by Sun Energy's sales representative Lexi, who explained the process and the cost of installation very well. The installers were excellent and assisted me with setting up the phone app for me to monitor the system. Very happy all round.

The staff were so friendly and they never forgot about me as I was interested in a battery back in February 2023 and I received a phone call again asking if u was ready to move on and at that point I totally forgot about Smart energy and also really needed a battery as we struggled through winter and the reminder helped so much. I was then put through with Beth who was so kind and helpful with any questions I had and setting up the final steps in getting a battery. She was always very responsive and very professional with her work.

Smart energy assisted me with battery installation and now my power consumption is totally independent and really low cost. Beth Jones was totally helpful since the beginning and explained all information needed. She was patient and explained all the terms clearly. I would also like to mention my thanks to Harry( Hari) who initially talked to me couple of months ago and introduced smart energy.

A representative turned up on a Thursday as my mother was about to head to the shops. After being told numerous times we are not interested in solar panels he would not take no for an answer so my mother agreed to the consultant coming the next morning purely because she had things to do and he was taking up valuable time. The following day, she called the rep to cancel the appointment and he became somewhat aggressive with his sales technique and the consultant still turned up. The consultant was just as pushy and patronising. I advised him I would be the one paying for the panels because I own the house and any finance would be in my name and I am simply not interested at this point in time and if I was I'd be sourcing quotes and reviews from other solar panel providers. When he finally took no for an answer he said "enjoy your $600 bills" which at the moment, isn't really that bad compared to other households. If and when I decide to get quotes for panels I won't be contacting this company for quotes in the future. If their rep turns up at my house again, I won't be as polite as my mother was. Rude, arrogant, patronising staff. Edit to add: no one has tried to get in contact with me aside from the response to my review. Considering none of my personal details are included on this review and I will not purchase from Smart Energy due to the conduct of their staff towards myself and my mother.

There was communication from the start of the process to the end.

From the young man who initially knocked on our door to briefly explain Smart Energy to then having Julia go into detail. We felt she was honest, intelligent and very knowledgeable. When you sign up for something so big, you can only hope you have done the right thing and hope the Company and its employees won’t let you down. Once we signed up for Solar Panels with Julia from Smart Energy, the communication was excellent with everyone involved; including the tradespeople they used. We liked how we were sent plans of how our panels would sit, however on the day the installers worked out an even better way. They look great on our dark roof. The installers raved on about how good our panels were and said they were the best quality! The electrician was so lovely and worked really hard to install a new meter box( as our old one was 100 yrs old). We are yet to have an electric bill, but my husband enjoys the app that shows how much electricity we are producing. So we know when it’s the best time to use appliances. I’m sure we will notice the difference more over Summer. Extremely happy customer!
