Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.

This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

Skuma was recommended to me by a colleague, and I’m really glad I decided to go with this water system. It’s exactly what I was looking for in terms of convenience and performance for my family. We’ve tried other water filters in the past, but they were often cumbersome and difficult to maintain. The Skuma filter is efficient, simple to use, and fits well into our routine. I’ve also been consistently impressed with the customer service team, they’ve always been responsive and helpful. Overall, I’m very happy with the product and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a straightforward, effective water filtration solution.

BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!!
BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!!! Have had this for a year now! Have no fine lines, no more early onset grey hair growth compared to when we first brought this around March/April last year. Also, the alkaline water it produces is so amazing- cleared my gastronomic inflammation (ate acidic food and drank red wine) which was causing unbearable pain. Nothing helped until i had like a gulp of the alkaline infused water!! Best investment ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I bought my Skumer water filter on the 8th November 2024.
I bought the Skumer water filter a few months ago and after a few weeks of contacting Skumer via WhatsApp to try to understand how to set up and use, I am now happy with my purchase. The set up is done by following a YouTube video, which although is informative, needs to be a bit more clear in places, such as the water flushing instructions, which took me several watches of the video, to understand. I think detailed written instructions could be added to the box as a helpful reference. The feeling I got when I opened the box of my new Skuma was, 'now what'? I had no clue where to start with the set up, due to the lack of detailed information. It would also be useful to be able to speak to someone via the phone, rather than via WhatsApp, which can be slow. Information on descaling the water filter, (about every 5 weeks) could be made clearer too, ad I bought and paid for a second descaling kit I didn't need too, as each kit can be used several times and this Information isn't made clear.

Good water
Water tastes good, after a while using this I can’t stand tap water in restaurants or when I’m out. The device is filtering too much water sometimes, leaking everywhere and making a mess.

Customer service has gone above and beyond
After several issues, Julie from customer service has gone above and beyond to resolve all issues. To be clear, the machine is wonderful. Wish it had been around earlier and with the infusions I save alot from having to buy electrolytes. My initial machine was faulty (ie leaking) and the company sent out a new machine even before receiving the old one back (showing real trust in the customer). I hope Skuma update existing customers with any further innovations that they come up with for the machine (ie:mains connection). I love my machine. Keep up the amazing work.
