Cannot fault the airline
Cannot fault the airline, by far the most assertive and attentive staff, incredibly friendly and helpful. Made an extremely pleasant flight. You will not be disappointed.

Singapore Airlines faces significant criticism from consumers, with a majority rating it poorly. Many reviewers express dissatisfaction with the service, citing arrogant staff and poor communication skills, particularly in stressful situations like delays. Complaints about flight experiences are common, with reports of long wait times, missed connections, and inadequate responses to issues, including refund requests. Despite these negatives, some customers do share positive experiences, particularly in business class, praising the food and attentive service. However, these positive reviews are overshadowed by the prevalent sentiment of frustration regarding service quality and operational reliability. Overall, Singapore Airlines struggles to meet customer expectations, leading to a predominantly negative perception.

Most horrible airline I ever been flying with. Arrogant people hosting us and no language skills even if English is your way of communicating. Would recommend any other airline.

This was one of the worst travel experiences we've ever had. Singapore Airlines refuses to refund us for a flight we never even took. They falsely claim we boarded the flight, despite the fact that we... See more

Wonderful experience on-board and a really good membership rewards plan.
The airline is amazing however the website could be improved
TL:DR: Sinapore Airlines went above and beyond in their assistance to a passenger suffering a recent death in the family. Every layer of the organisation responded without flaw and with nothing but empathy. This is what other airlines should aspire to be. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of you at Singapore Airlines. Full Version: I recently had flights from Singapore to London Heathrow and was also booked on return flight a week later. It was a last minute flight due to my father being taken critically ill. During our stay, my father sadly passed away. For obvious reasons, this meant I had to change my return flight dates. After getting on the phone with customer service, I was told the charges for the change were 587 British pounds. I told the operator of my predicament and they said they would call me back. After a few phones calls the price was reduce to 387 British pounds which I was very grateful for. However, the day before the flight, Rehan from Singair customer service called me back and told me that the extra charges for the change shall be returned and there will be no extra charges for the rebooking of the flight! I was shocked! Also, because of my late booking I was stuck in the back of the plane near a window with only an hour and a half to get to my connecting flight in Singapore. Singapore Airlines also arranged for an aisle seat located near the front of the plane when I arrived to check in. I would like to thank all the people involved in my case for the outstanding assistance they provided me in a time of great sadness. They truly went above and beyond from their customer service to the ground staff to the air crew, everyone did their best. This is what other airlines should aspire to be. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to you all.
6 flights with Singapore Airlines so far in 2018 and all have been flawless. All the staff have been exemplary in their service and professionalism. My wife left her kindle on a flight recently and within an hour we had received both emails and calls letting us know thy had found it. Fantastic.
Awesome service! Comfort and food! Smooth flight from lhr to chc! Great entertainment.. super clean cabin! Nothing too much trouble! Loved it! 👏👏
Best service you can find in an airline. I have taken Singapore Airlines from Frankfurt to Singapore on multiple occasions and found the price to be affordable. The warm towel provided at the start was a treat! The selection of media for a long haul flight was excellent. It kept me entertained throughout!
We have travelled to Australia a few times on this airline mainly because it is via Singapore after several very bad experiences at Dubai. This airline offer reasonably good service and in June I booked two seats for January 2019 for a 3 month stay to visit our son and grandsons. I had previously booked through an agent or travel site online BUT you cannot choose what seats you want and you can only get seat numbers 48 hours before travelling. This time I decided to book over the telephone. The first thing I heard was a recorded message saying that booking by phone could result in a charge for doing so? The first question to the booking clerk was "is there a charge". I was told this does not apply in the U.K. So far so good. I had already looked up flight numbers I wanted and also chosen seat numbers as well. We went through the whole procedure and booked the flights. I then asked for the seat numbers I had chosen- then came the surprise! Apparently you cannot pre-book seats unless you pay for them! This charge always related to short haul flights but now long haul have jumped on the band-wagon and decided to make more money as well. For every leg of the journey there is a seat charge out and, of course, back which in my case totalled £72! Not much you might say but the fare we paid was higher than two years ago and now plus a seat charge on top. Obviously I had to book them because on a 19 hour flight you want to sit with your husband, Well I do anyway. No doubt other airlines have done the same and to Australia there is a limited choice. I have read more recent reviews on Singapore Airline and see that they have not been anywhere near as good as before. Will write a review when we get back.
Have flown with many Airlines and nobody comes close to the service that SIA are offering! Absolutely fantastic!
What a breath of fresh air. I recently had a bad experience with an online booking agency that took two months for them to resolve. Fortunately Singapore Airlines listened to my dilemma said they would send me an email requesting further information AND THEY DID.I replied and within 36 hours from my request had the modified ticket emaile to me. Well done SA , you got my next return ticket from Dubai to Myanmar.
I have just returned from Bali with my boyfriend and we used Singapore airlines for the first time. They were amazing we cannot fault them one bit. The flights were all on time if not early, the staff were so friendly and helpful when it came to our connecting flight in Singapore. The food and drinks and entertainment on board was great. Dont believe all the reviews you read online about this airline people seem to only write a review to complain. 5 star airline would defiantly use them again.
Went through the entire booking process for a flight with Singapore Airlines only to be given an error message at the end of the process. However they had put a hold on my money which means I'll get charged an international transaction fee despite supposedly getting the money back at some point (and still no flight booking). So I called their call centre, only to get abused by their consultant and with no apology or solution offered. I'm now leaving 1* reviews for any company that puts an unauthorised hold on funds.
One of the best in-flight, up there with emirates.
There can't be any other airline on this planet I can think of has a great comfort and service like Singapore airlines. My last trip was to Japan from Singapore and I felt at ease and I was able to utilize my day of landing as I was feeling refreshed after the journey.
Been using SIA for 10 years or more. Were very good in the early days, but not quite so good overall nowadays in my experience: no particular gripes about the flights (except maybe that cabin crew seem more "remote"), and having to use Changi as a hub is a delight (this from someone who hates modern airports). The main reason for my marking them down to 3* is the difficulty with dealing with them over the phone. On my wife's recent flight from Manchester to Cebu, the first of three legs was with Lufthansa (to Frankfurt) and I had a simple question: does she check in with DLH or SIA? In one conversation, I was told SIA, then DLH, then either, then "I will contact DLH to ask them and call back in 30 minutes". Two days later and no response... So I called DLH myself - and it took 5 minutes to clarify options for desk and online check-in... Other calls have resulted in misinformation being given by SIA. On the plus side, I have to say they did handle a difficult situation for my wife very well once I eventually got put through to the correct department. She was stranded by a tropical storm for several days and could not get to Cebu for the return flight. I thought the ticket was invalid after the original date and we'd have to pay for new flight at full cost, but SIA said it would be OK for another 8 months(!), and rescheduling was done very smoothly (albeit with some extra to pay, plus a £145 "penalty"...). So 3* or 4*? I've given 3 because I'm not sure I will want the hassle of dealing with their front-line support again, and will probably look for alternative carriers in future.
For most flights on a recent holiday from London to Sydney, then New Zealand, then Singapore, then home, we flew with Singapore Airlines. Seats were pre-booked, within economy, and service was impressive. Compared to another airline used within this extended 'once in a life-time' holiday, Singapore Airlines provided outstanding customer-focused support. We were offered, frequently, refreshments - both commercial drinks and simply chilled water. Staff were visible, attentive, courteous and helpful - despite flights lasting over 12 hours. Food was very acceptable (although I'm not a fan of airline meals and circumstances make the provision of good quality food almost impossible) and we were very pleasantly surprised at the choice and quality. We also travelled with Air New Zealand and whilst it was announced over the general communication system that they have been voted as the worlds premier airline, in our experience they were significantly eclipsed by Singapore Airlines!
SOOOO DISAPPOINTED!. MY BOYFRIEND’S FLIGHT WAS REFUNDED WITHOUT KNOWING OR INFORMING US!!! SG AIRLINE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED!!!!!! IM EXPECTING THE HIGHEST STANDARD AND SECURITY AS THIS IS THE FLAGSHIP AIRLINE! NO CALL BACK OR EMAIL SENT TO US INFORMING THAT THEY ARE GOING TO REFUND IT! AND AFTER REFUNDING IT - WE DONT RECEIVE ANY EMAIL ABOUT IT!!!!!!! THE AGENT THAT I SPOKE TO KEEP ON SAYING THAT ON HER END THE ITINERARY WAS DELETED AND REFUNDED BUT HOW?!!?!?!!! FIND MORE WAYS ON HOW YOU GONNA SECURE THIS KIND OF SCENARIOS!!!! OR YOU MIGHT END UP LOTS OF COMPLAINS REGARDING THIS REFUNDING SOMEONE’S ITINERARY!!!!! IMAGINE YOU ARE EXPECTING YOU HAVE A FLIGHT THE NEXT DAY AND YOU’LL END UP FINDING YOUR TICKET STATUS WAS GONE AND REFUNDED! ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL OCCASSION IN OUR LIVES AND THIS HAPPENED! We went from Bunei to Singapore and Singapore to Tokyo , Haneda. Then return. Overall experiences were decent. The flight attendants from SG to HND and SG to BWN were very friendly and we had fun in these flights. The other two flights, it was ok. The only thing that I am not satisfied is the muslim meal. Please improve your muslim meal!! Other airlines were better at preparing their muslim/vegetarian/special meals! We could not eat the fish meal because it was not fresh at all, and fishy! It's my first time to vomit in the plane ever! Overall, a great experience.
The online store for miles is rediculous if you do not live in Singapore!!! Shipping fees rediculous.
