The pick up took way too long that's my only complaint but everything else was good otherwise. There were people who had later pick up times who were being serviced before me who was already there.
Horrible customer service. Disrespectful policies. Hidden fees. *I have emailed customer service multiple times. Their last reply was we already responded and will not respond again. - unacceptable and unbelievable

I didn't like that the system did not allow me to make reservation for two weeks period, it only accepts one week so I have to make two reservations with one week each!!!
I recently rented a Jeep and prepaid for both the rental and insurance through the Routes website. I had previously rented with Routes without any issues, so I felt confident about this booking. However, this time was a different story. After waiting for over an hour (due to some unexplained issues), the attendant told me that my driver's license was expired. The confusion arose because the "Issue Date" on my license, which is in Spanish, was mistaken for the expiration date. Thankfully, another client stepped in and helped translate the license details into English. The attendant took it to the manager, but when he returned, he told me something shocking: they don’t rent to Mexicans. He claimed that the company’s policies had changed because it is a Canadian company. When I mentioned that I planned to rent from Routes again in Cancun, he falsely insisted that Routes had no locations in Mexico. At that point, I decided to switch to Sixt (who, by the way, have always provided excellent service). However, when I requested a refund, they said it would be a very complicated process, implying I wouldn’t get my money back. Faced with this, I ended up having to raise my voice out of frustration over the racist remarks, and eventually, they let me proceed—but only after forcing me to leave a huge deposit, despite having all the necessary insurance. In the end, I did take the car, but this was by far the worst rental experience I've ever had. It was a disappointing experience. A lot of unnecessary stress and encountered some serious issues with the service. It’s unacceptable to face discriminatory remarks, and confusion over a driver's license only added to the frustration. Plus, being given false information about Routes locations and dealing with complications around the refund policy is not what you'd expect from a professional rental company.

I was scammed. A debit card was charged for reservation, but I wasn't allowed to leave a deposit. Even though the entire lot was full, I was still charged.
Gurjeet is very helpful to get me best car to rent. I highly recommend him if you need a rental car from YYZ Routes rental.

I would give zero stars if I could from start to finish the worst experience in renting a car I have ever had. They say it’s unlimited mileage and when they get you to prepay online then it changes to 200km a day. False advertising at its best, and they will not refund you any of the monies you have paid. I will have to go through my Credit card company and do a charge back on my card.. thanks for wasting my time and taking my money

I had a great experience with the guys behind the counter at Montreal airport. The location is outside of the terminal but arranging the shuttle pick up was fast and smooth. So if you account for that extra time, you’ll be saving a lot of money in comparison with other companies They were also helpful accommodating the external insurance that I had contracted and even the music in the rather empty waiting room was nice and soothing. I recommend

Nowhere does it say your company does not rent to Florida residents! Only Orlando residents. I was turned away at the counter after a very long drive. I have been a long-time loyal customer having rented from your team 6 months straight in another state. I even reached out to customer service and they did nothing. They told me to write an email which they responded with, sorry there is nothing we can do. You'd think that they would do the right thing for a loyal customer and process my returned payment, but nope they even kept my money for a car they wouldn't allow me to pick up! Terrible! Would not recommend renting a car from here! They do not care about customer loyalty.
Very transparent when it came to the insurance part.
first time customer. 9 day rental. hesitant because its not a name brand. rates were half of name brands. too good to be true? nope. these people are pros from start to finish. do not hesitate. seamless shuttle, small lineup in & out and friendly staff.special shout outs to jass & sid I will be back
Good shuttle from the airport on pickup. Very happy with the car. (VW TAOS). Staff very pleasant. No-hassle return, and helpful advice.
