Call answered promptly by Harry. He was very pleasant and professional giving us all the information we required without hesitation making us feel confident about our booking.

We love Riviera, but the booking this time, we were given the wrong price, that then had to be increased. That is our only complaint, that it needs double checking before telling customers. The other two we are going with are having to contact you because they have two different prices on their booking they accepted. We choose to pay for the excellent experience, but not happy with changing price after been told it and agreed.

I filled in all the requested details on-line, until the payment part at the end. A message told me to phone Riviera Travel as the booking could not be completed. I phoned in. The Agent said ‘something had gone wrong with the on-line booking’. The agent could not access my on-line application form and everything had to be done again over the phone. Great frustration indeed.

It was good to talk to someone with knowledge. Appreciate that they couldn’t have all the info for 2026 but did agree to hold our booking so we would receive price fix deal.

We've never been with Riviera before but I think we're going to have a great time. (I'll let you know if we don't). Certainly very helpful and efficient so far with the booking.

Easy to book a solo river cruise on the Douro. Limited options in spring summer and autumn. Most solo river cruises seem to be in winter months. Because of that I’ve had to book for summer 2026. Prices, as usual for solo travellers, are high but I’ll only do this trip once. Can’t comment on the cruise until I’ve been on it!

Having tried to make a booking on line and experienced some problems completing the booking, I decided to try ringing. I was pleasantly surprised to get through immediately to a very helpful agent who was quickly able to resolve the issues and complete the booking over the telephone.

The staff are always really helpful. I could have booked online but it's always nice to speak to a real person and they are all very friendly and efficient.

I requested a brochure via the company website which arrived within a few days - very informative and well produced.On selecting the river cruise that most appealed to my wife and I we booked the cruise online which was a very easy experience - almost immediately afterward s confirmation was received by email.

All staff I spoke to (and Amanda in particular) were professional, helpful and unfailingly cheerful throughout my calls. Amanda had a commendable “can do” attitude and ensured that what we needed was achieved.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The only drawback is having to listen to a very long spiel before you get through to a person!
