It’s so easy to book with Riviera. Everyone you speak to is so helpful and friendly. When you are choosing your holiday, it’s important to have confidence that you are getting value for money, and that you will be looked after from start to finish, which is what you get with Riviera.

Niki Foster (the person who handled my booking) was very knowledgable, able to answer my question and advise me on the type of cruise that I wanted to book.

My questions were answered easily and I had been recommended to Riviera by a friend who has travelled on two river cruises already and complimented this company highly. The Web booking returned an error and I couldn't retry because it was holding the booking for me. A phone call to riviera and the booking was sorted.

Very straightforward

I can only comment on the booking process - the cruise is over New Year 2025/6. This went very smoothly and we were given a couple of days to make our minds up after initially asking about the cruise - which we'd seen advertised in the paper. Niki Foster was able to give us most of the information we needed, the rest, and various queries were generated from looking at their website and various reviews. Niki was very polite, helpful and friendly. Our booking is now passed to the customer services, rather than continue to be looked after by Niki. We await them sending the details of the flight times and upgrade options.

Nicola was very helpful and made it very easy for us to make the decision. And she was very patient and explained everything very well.

We often saw adverts for River Cruises on the TV, had never cruised before, and we certainly did not want an ocean cruise (too many people). A friend who has tried a number of tour operators told us their best experience by far was with Riviera Travel on the Danube. Here their newest boats have capacity for 178 passengers max (nice!) We found Rivieras website easy to use, the prices competitive, and when we phoned with questions we did not join an hour long queue (under two minutes) and they were very helpful. So cruise choice, prices, customer service and booking procedure all good….let’s see if the holiday meets this standard.

We found exactly the holiday we wanted in no time at all. Booking and paying was nice and straightforward and we were immediately contacted by Riviera Travel with further info.

Booking the holiday was fairly straightforward. The dates, hotel and departure airport were, fortunately, all available from the outset and even opted for a room upgrade. The other draw for us was the deal included the excursions we were looking for. Post booking information i.e. confirmation of all details was swift - as was the request for a review! I liked the passenger details input system - a step up from certain other travel companies A little more clarity should be provided on baggage allowance
