Their own email system is blocking pdf files send to them and on top of that they have a 4mbs limit per email. What is even the point of asking for documents to be send to you, if you're going to be blocking them and only allowed a tiny size limit. 4mbs?! What is this, 2008!? Do they also use floppy disks over there?

I was trying to get an online valuation for my house. Before I knew it, I landed on a page that said my details had been shared with five locals estate agents. I emailed Rightmove immediately to say that I did not want to be contacted and they never even responded. In the meantime, I have fielded nonstop calls and emails from every estate agent in town and surely more than five of them. A week already and it's still going on. Very misleading website and clearly selling your details.

Whilst Rightmove is a good property portal I find it frustrating they allow Estate Agents to redact the prior sales history of the property they are listing. In reality you can simply refer to Zoopla, The movemarket or HM Land Registry to research prior sales history but I feel that Rightmove are complicit in enabling Estate Agents to try and 'pull the wool over the buyers eyes'. Why must you do this?

Excellent customer service from Emily Ross (Customer Care Specialist) to resolve a privacy issue via a general helpdesk request. Super quick responsive, much faster than expected, and resolved my issue immediately. Customer service as it should be!

They don't have filter for auction houses I end up using Zoopla way easy

A property came on the market on the 29th June 2023 and I recieved an alert email as it matched my search criteria. I requested to view the property within 1 hour of it being advertised on Rightmove using the link on the Rightmove website. This gave me a link email requesting more personal information such as my annual income, job title etc, which I completed. There is a little clause at the bottom saying that failure to provide this information would effectively delay my enquiry. Once this was completed I received a conformation email, also with a little clause at the bottom saying that this enquiry would only been seen by the estate agent . I hadnt heard anything from the estate agent and called them on the 1st July. The estate agent told me that they had not recieved any enquiry from me from Rightmove and that the property had now reached maximium viewing capacity. I have enquired about several other properties that I have recieved an email about that are advertised on Rightmove and havent received anything from the estate agents. I believe that Rightmove is not working as intended and is failing the public by not passing on information adeqently. This is in breach of their terms and conditions.

Rightmove is a timewaste they keep already rented properties on their website for a long time, I called them and mentioned this to them and they always say this been just rented out, while I see below property has been rented out but it is still on their site. 1168 Rochdale RoadManchester M9 Thanks MS

Registered with no problems and the site is very good. However in the last week logging in to my account has become impossible due to a problem with your 'verifcation' page. I'm fed up with 'the connection to a verification server has been interupted' message. PLEASE sort this out. In addition,why should such a pathetic system be necessary, after all you have already verified my email on sign up. Entering an email / password combination is fine but is it really necessary to select the picture of a chicken, cow, or pizza etc. every time I want access?

Rightmove referencing have been extremely difficult to work with and have been very poor at communicating with us throughout the referencing process for a property.

I have been extremely impressed by Jordan and the rest of the team who have helped me and my partner set up our insurance and broadband for our new house. They've been very attentive and always made sure to book in our calls beforehand so that I'm available to answer them which is very helpful. Couldn't recommend them enough for making this journey smooth and less stressful

If you want to rent a property thro this company. .. don't. They call themselves credit checkers, joke. I applied for a property £570 per month, after paying £130 holding fee I'm told I'm told my income falls short of their criteria, implying I can't afford the said rent. Strange I'm currently paying £ 80 more than that,and having proof that it's paid on time and in full every month. Then I'm told I need a guarantor or pay 6mnths in advance and need to prove I have £1000 savings. What the hell has that hit to go with it. This all because THEY don't take housing benefit payments to me into account. Utterly disgusted with these people. They FORCE you out of application and refuse to return holding fee .Will be reporting them. So if you want to rent, don't claim housing benefit s they will block your application !!!!!!!!!!!!

After 6 working days the agency (coopers in Hillingdon) are still waiting for these people to complete one last reference on the tenants that are going to replace me. One reference only!!!!! Can’t even do that one. Pick a better company these people are as lazy as they can be probably working from home. Can’t be asked to do their job and meanwhile the move in date keeps getting pushed back cuz of them

I am writing this review to express my disappointment and frustration with the referencing process carried out by Rightmove. Firstly, I must address the significant delay in sending reference emails to my listed references causing unnecessary anxiety and uncertainty on my part as an applicant. Furthermore, it is disheartening to note that even after alerting Rightmove about the delay and prompting action, there was no proactive effort from your team to rectify the situation promptly. I had to continuously follow up and make numerous calls to ensure that the necessary emails were sent to my references. This lack of initiative and responsiveness raises concerns about the level of professionalism and efficiency within Rightmove's referencing process. In addition to the delay, I encountered another issue when seeking clarification from Rightmove agents. Upon contacting them, I was provided with incorrect documentation, which only added to the confusion and frustration I was already experiencing. This mistake not only reflects poorly on the accuracy of the information provided by Rightmove but also creates unnecessary obstacles for applicants during an already stressful process. Furthermore, I must emphasize the poor communication exhibited by Rightmove throughout the referencing process. It was disappointing to discover that, on multiple occasions, I had to take the initiative and contact Rightmove to inquire about the progress of my application or to provide any additional information that might have been required. I have been through previous referencing processes multiple times from different companies, and it was smooth and fast with online tracking and no need to call someone to write the wrong documentation. I strongly urge Rightmove to evaluate its current referencing procedures, implement measures to ensure promptness and accuracy and establish effective lines of communication with its customers. Otherwise, I really hope I don't have to deal with Rightmove again. Update: The only helpful person was James, when I called he introduced himself, has good communication skills and was the only one who put me on hold and read all the previous documentation to understand the situation and listen to me and concluded the call by giving me his action plan. I still don't recommend their service and will give feedback to my letting agency.

Unfortunetely I have to give 1 star, hordes of landlord's put misleading adds you search for a flat and find bedrooms advertised. There should be someone who bans these agencies and also I recently looked for properties with garden and have PARKINGS POPPING UP , parking are a bane of this app, please add an option to not display parking and multi occupancy lets and if anyone breaks these rules ban the mfkers , it is not enjoyable to scroll trogh useless things like in 2023 Update mid 2025, you are still not able to filter out parkings or garages out of listings and still come across rooms when selected to not see house shares in options. They are not working to update the app properly also not hard enough on troll landlords and letting agents. Also an answer to Rightmoves reply: yes I filter out that I do not want to see houseshare listings and select 1 bed or studios but there's still people listing rooms in 1 bed section, and they still pop up, which should be a bannable offense if people do not know how to post or read. A lot of people also misleading about property size and not submitting floor plan, when you visit the flat it looks 3 times smaller than in photos.
