As an Agent, I can't wait for the day when Rightmove are gone. Money grabbing and no clear pricing structure which agents can see. Minimum fee is around £23000 for a single office, More than the two newspapers I had available combined.

Just the place for all house hunting requirements, love the way it all just works and can save what you like to check on.

Emailed rightmove to ask if there was any chance the date listed could be changed as my property had previously sold and then the sale fell through. Advised by estate agent that not enough time had passed so they couldn't do anything. Not happy with the response from rightmove stating that the only way this could be changed is if the property was marked as 'sold stc' for over 7 wks and they needed notifying within 5 working days - I only discovered this was an option 2 months later after speaking to a friend! They also had the cheek to suggest I reduce my price by 2%! My house is still on sale and I believe it is being affected by rightmove's 'date first listed' (6th Apr) as people will be looking at that and assuming there is something wrong with my property. We are now getting ridiculous offers from people who see that as an opportunity to negotiate a much lower price. Not a very helpful site for genuine people trying to sell their house!

During what is undoubtedly a very stressful experience for everyone involved it is nice to be treated like a human being for once, Danni Ord wasn't just trying to push an insurance sale on to me but acted like a friend who listened to my problems and allowed me to vent some frustrations about the whole ordeal before securing herself an insurance sales commission.

Trying to find rental properties but 100% of the listed properties shown are actually not available, so basically a complete waste of time using this website.

I was trying to rent a flat and had to go through Rightmove to perform a past rental check. I was a particularly difficult case with various contracts, numerous accounts involved in the transactions and a complex rental history but the support were always on hand with fast response times to perfectly handle my case. Guy Brown handled my case and saved me an incredible amount of tedious work by being able to find a way through to the landlord. Would use again.

Excellent response from Rich led to the source of the inability to reset my password or get any access to my Rightmove account, although I also had to get Microsoft to give me a link to get to my Blocked email addresses, which is where I must have inadvertently set the Rightmove password ''reset email' address.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience today! I was at the estate agent and had only 2 hours to apply for a property that I really liked. I couldn't go home so went to the library instead. I managed to log into my right move account no problem however once I had filled out the application and tried to send it Right Move refused to send the application unless I 'verified' my email first (since I am already logged in why on Earth would this be necessary)??? The problem is that I am not at home so didn't have access to my password book, I therefore couldn't log into my email account on the library PC. I did have access to my email on my phone but as its an old phone I can't open links on it. Plus, typing out the ridiculously long URL onto the PC didn't work either. I called customer services and the first girl promptly hung up on me, the second said that this was a 'security feature' and that there was nothing she could do! I'm a member of over 20 Cryptocurrency sites and they have enough common sense to realize that sometimes people forget their email log-in details so they send you a text code (why doesn't Right Move have any sense like this)??? So bottom line is I may miss out on a property because Right Move refuses to let me send an application from my own account. It's not like I am trying to withdraw $20,000,000 in gold for goodness sake, I am only trying to apply for a property, so citing 'security measures' as an excuse to lock me out of applying for houses on an account I am already logged into is [quite frankly] Orwellian and outrageous! Avoid this shower of time wasters...! *** UPDATE *** Notice how they always cite 'security reasons' and 'fraudulent activity' to effectively lock people out of their accounts...? However, all one is doing is applying for a house, this hardly qualifies as being fraudulent does it? In any case, I never got the house and lost out on the chance to apply! They never once apologised for this and I DID call in and was told a manager would phone me back, but [surprise surprise] they never did, because they couldn't care less! Whenever a [so called] security measure stops the owner of the account from actually applying for the house then surely you know that their 'security measures' aren't working as intended and are a complete and utter failure! These scumbags couldn't care less!

Great APART from one very annoying thing when searching for properties and setting alerts there is no way to filter out auction sales, both Zoopla and On the market allow you to so why not Rightmove ?
