Softner stopped working 3 times within 3 months time

I bought a package of a water softener and water filter from Renewal water Filtration in March 2025 for €1195. When I inquired on WhatsApp, I got a reply and they installed it quickly. The advertisement says that it a is 0% limescale remover. Two weeks after installation, the salt that was put in again was not reduced. Not only that, I started seeing limescale on the sides of the taps. So I informed them about this. A week later, a new technician came and fixed it. After another two weeks, after refilling the salt again, it stopped working. Then, I tried to contact them from my phone on various phone numbers of this company several times, but they did not pick up the phone. Then I called from another phone number and they thought it was a new customer and picked up the phone. I said I want either a replacement or a refund. So after a week, the same technician came and said that he would replace the mother board. After the repair, he gave me some limescale test strips. Then he said that after three days, I would get the results. When I looked at the strips, only a little limescale had decreased. After a few days, when I refilled the salt, I realized that it had stopped working. So on the night of June 17, I sent all details to their WhatsApp and email along with a photo. Even after a week, I did not get a reply. After that, I sent a message saying that if I don't get my money refunded, I will file a case in the consumer court. Then they called me right away. They said that if i regenerate it, it will work again. I said I don't know anything and i dont need any repair of your machine. Then after the phone conversation, another person called and said that they will refund only the cash for the softener. But they won't take back the water filter. I said that I bought both of these as a package, so you have to take back both of them. They didn't agree to that. Then i said that I will file a case. So after two days, they said that they will let a technician inspect before refunding. So after three weeks, on 10th July the technician came. So he tried to fix it again. So I said that you just need to inspect it, don't repair it. So he got very angry and fitted everything as before and left. I sent an email to customer care and said that they should refund me or I will file a case today. Then they said that it was not a complaint of the softener, it was a problem of float. They said that since it was not a problem of the software, they cannot refund the money, and if you want, you can file a case. I first complained about this machine 30th April. After that, the same technician came twice time to check and repair it. They even change the mother board too. Then he couldn't find it. From this,I understood that either their technician is not well trained or this company has a very bad attitude towards its post customers. They only want new customers. Anyway, I have filed a case for 25 euros. It is better to think carefully before you buying their products. There are many water softeners available that work well.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service Still waiting on a response on an issue from July, I was advised to get a plumber and get an inlet valve changed, paid £50 and it wasn't blocked, just needed a new filter from renewell water. Got a really offensive and unprofessional text via WhatsApp with an angry emoji. Have rung and emailed and just get ignored and told someone will get back to me. They had no problems taking payment for new filters this week though but no reimbursement or help regarding other situation. Waiting on new filters and have to fit them myself and do self service. I left a complaint before and was asked to remove it so they'd help me and they sent me some bottles to keep me sweet. Really unprofessional attitude, it's a shame as I like the water but hate the lack of effort in resolving issues, you just get ignored. 09/12/22. Spoke to Karen from customer service who helped find out details of this ongoing issue, get to the root cause and resolve it. Finally now I know what to do thanks to Karen. Whomever wrote information on the review didn't bother to tell me any of these details. I was advised to just get a plumber to change the inlet valve, no other details ie him calling you or to do other checks... Inlet valve iwasn't blocked, but was changed to the valve supplied by Renewell, and there was only 1 sent, not 2. no one told me they wanted a specialist plumber, the lack of instruction is what caused this mess. I turned to you for help and your expertise as its your field, only to be criticised. I changed the sediment filter myself and then everything was fine..... Simple straightforward instructions and a professional attitude to resolve problems is all that's needed for a happy customer, not angry emojis and being ignored and blaming your customers. When we have these water filtration systems fitted we are not aware of all the complications that can occur and extra charges we may incur... I wasn't informed of any of that, so it's not very kind to say it's on the customers, if you don't warn us... I shall wait 6 months to see if the same issue occurs and if so, I'll know what needs doing now. Thank you Karen. Sadly no reimbursement of the plumber, but I'm glad I have closure. Nobody needs the headache of all of this.

Our system was installed in October…

Our system was installed in October 2021. The engineer did a brilliant job because the unit is quite tall it wouldn't fit in under the sink without modding the shelves which he did without a fuss leaving as much storage space as possible. I just did the first service myself no problems. Our tap water was good before very little lime scale but the odd time you could get the hint of fluoride. Since the filter went in the kettle is shinning, the tea is scum free and we use the water when ironing no more limescale build ups there either. I can honestly say we drink more water now because of the filter.

Renewell refused to replace the faulty…

Renewell refused to replace the faulty filter unless I removed an honest review. All I said in the review was that altho previously reliable (I am a customer for over 10 years) I was waiting for weeks for a faulty filter repair. A senior Renewell rep. rang me back to say altho Renewell had the replacement part in store, they wouldn’t install it until I retracted the review. I was shocked and refused to lie or accept blackmail. I told them it was very bad customer relations! They are weirdly still sending me sales pitches and automatic forms like this to me for feedback. I now have two expensive useless filter machines taking up space in my kitchen. As there’s not much else they can do to me, I thought I should warn new customers to never give an negative review, no matter how mild, if you want your installations serviced by Renewell. And if you are tempted to sign up to one of their deals - don’t.
