It was just a lovely cruise

It was just a lovely cruise. There was everything we wanted and being very much older, plenty of time to relax if needed. The staff are amazing, respectful and welcoming. The Baltic cities are wonderful sights and the talks by Dave Wright were inspirational and riveting. We went to every one. Loved every minute

Britannia 10th anniverary cruise

Have recently returned from PO Britannia 10 anniversary cruise of the British Isles which we had been really looking forward to as it was visiting places we haven't been to before, although disappointed they cancelled our trip to Edinburgh. The cruise got off to a bad start for us it took nearly two hours from dropping our luggage off to actually get on to the ship (usually takes 20-30 mins) so was not happy it was exhausting and would have put of off if it was our first cruise. Luckily it all improved from then on and we had a fantastic and relaxing cruise. Food excellent and staff very friendly in particular Akrita and Stanley from the Meridan restaurant and Jenson our cabin steward. Britannia certainly pulled the stops out with the entertainment this cruise it was spectacular on deck and in theatre, you had to queue early to get a seat in theatre even though they did 3 shows a night it was full half an hour before show started. We did three shore excursions with PO and all where very good with knowledgeable guides on the coaches and the shuttle bus in other places was well organised. Sort the boarding out and back too 5 stars next time.

As close to perfect as possible.

I'll be as honest as possible: 1. The holiday was excellent value for money. 2. The cabin accommodation is very good. 3. The IONA ship is spotless. All areas are continually cleaned. 4. The food choice available and quality is excellent. 5. The staff are super friendly and attentive at all times. Only one negative thing I can mention is the cost of onboard wifi which is roughly Β£20 a day. This should be more reasonable.

Awful

Awful, awful, and awful, purchased a holiday from these guys recently, just wanted to ask 2 simple questions over the phone, the relevant department never answers, hilariously though, sales is quick to pick up the phone. Scummy money grabbing business that leaves you in the dark once they have what they want from you.

Azura use to be our favourite ship but now completely understaffed and too many cost savings

We sailed with P&O Cruises on board Azura Ports Split, Dubrovnik and Corfu wonderful but Taranto not so good. Our cabin was kept extremely clean by our steward but we had problems with our toilet continually not working, however it was fixed promptly. Service in the main dining room was mixed. Excellent of an evening but not so good during the breakfast service which was due to being understaffed. The standard of food in the evening in our opinion has gone down and we struggled with the menu. Whereas there use to be a lot of fresh fish on the menu this option seems to have been replaced with pub food such as pie, shepherd's pie and one night sausages however some people may appreciate these changes. Also whereas there use to be an alternative menu there is now only 2 choices chicken or steak and the steak was very thin and tough. Also the standard of dress in the main dining room of an evening has gone dramatically down. On two consecutive nights a lady on the next table turned up in her bikini with a sheer beach dress over it complete with beach bag and towel. We were on the 8.30 pm sitting so surely she had time to change and she was allowed in even though there is a dress code. It seems anything goes now. We sailed recently on P & O Britannia and feel that the quality of service and food was much better than Azura however we would still sail on the Azura if the itinerary was right. Excellent service by Bolsover Cruise Club. Overall a good holiday.

Iona is a stunning ship

Iona is a stunning ship. Would be happy to sale on her again with lots of bars and lounges and large selection of places to dine for breakfast lunch and dinner and snack in-between. Felt very relaxed though out the whole cruise.

The P&O truth

I think this company needs an honest review. I love cruising. I have done loads of cruises but have only used P&O three times. Once on a cruise to Northern Europe, where I had an amazing time and was blown away. So naturally I booked again. However, I then did a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. Where the service was awful, staff were on their phones on the top deck while in port, ignoring the guests and on one night, we were sat in the restaurant and we weren't seen for 45 minutes, so we ended up leaving and heading to the buffet. I thought that perhaps it was a one off so I booked another cruise for September 2025 to go to Scandinavia. It is a dream holiday, I dont have a lot of money so Β£2000 is a once in a lifetime booking for me that I will never be able to do again. However, the company took Stockholm off of the itinerary, and replaced it with an over night stay in Tallinn Estonia. I know that this is annoying but it cannot be helped, however, I contacted the customer service team to express my dismay regarding the fact that maybe in future, they should chose another port rather than an over night stay as more places to visit is always better than an over night stay. Now the reason they have such a low score is the reply I got. Basically, the person that contacted me, made out as it was 'no big deal' and it was an insignificant change to the itinerary. This confirmed with me that P&O are an out of touch company. People cannot afford to pay their prices so they save up and save up over months/years to afford them because the locations the cruise is visiting is a once in a lifetime trip, and then they make out as not visiting a dream location for the huge amount of money you have spent is 'no big deal' is craziness. Please save your money and book with a more reliable company. P&O cancel ports so often. I only know this as I have family and friends that have also used them, and who are actively avoiding them themselves in the future. It will be the last cruise I do with this company.

What an experience

From the minute I booked I was kept very well informed of all I needed to know. I was looked after from the time I arrived at the port until the time I left. Everything was well organised and so the staff helpful and friendly and professional. It was a luxury experience. The food choice and quality was excellent. Drink and ice creams very fairly priced. The ship was spotless. The staff worked tirelessly for our comfort.

Fantastic fjords

First ever cruise and it exceeded our expectations. Norwegian fjords and onshore experiences were stunning. Pre cruise information, disembarkation and everything in between was smooth and well planned. The ship is beautiful, food amazing and staff went above and beyond for everyone. Thanks and see you soon!
