Azura use to be our favourite ship but now completely understaffed and too many cost savings
We sailed with P&O Cruises on board Azura Ports Split, Dubrovnik and Corfu wonderful but Taranto not so good. Our cabin was kept extremely clean by our steward but we had problems with our toilet continually not working, however it was fixed promptly. Service in the main dining room was mixed. Excellent of an evening but not so good during the breakfast service which was due to being understaffed. The standard of food in the evening in our opinion has gone down and we struggled with the menu. Whereas there use to be a lot of fresh fish on the menu this option seems to have been replaced with pub food such as pie, shepherd's pie and one night sausages however some people may appreciate these changes. Also whereas there use to be an alternative menu there is now only 2 choices chicken or steak and the steak was very thin and tough. Also the standard of dress in the main dining room of an evening has gone dramatically down. On two consecutive nights a lady on the next table turned up in her bikini with a sheer beach dress over it complete with beach bag and towel. We were on the 8.30 pm sitting so surely she had time to change and she was allowed in even though there is a dress code. It seems anything goes now. We sailed recently on P & O Britannia and feel that the quality of service and food was much better than Azura however we would still sail on the Azura if the itinerary was right. Excellent service by Bolsover Cruise Club. Overall a good holiday.
