Review summary
Paisley Freight has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend
I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum Β£100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
Disappointing Service
I have used Paisley Freight to send car parts over the last year or so, but unfortunately the service received lately has diminished from the initial good service I received. Trying to contact PF has not always proven to be easy, I can ring the office 10 times to get no reply, or the phone picked up and immediately put down again which is frustrating when having so much trouble trying to talk to someone. I do always get through to someone eventually...Usually Carol answers the phone and unfortunately for her is the point of contact for all our recent problems which I can only imagine makes her working day a stressful one as i'm sure we are not the only ones to complain... Collections for the last month or so are never on time, and we are advised this is because our business closes early and no one is here, which is UN-true. When I pay for a service I want that service I don't want excuses for a job not done. Fair enough a collection might get missed on the odd occasion and re-collected the following day but 7 days in a row of missed collections is not acceptable. One of my parcels has also been lost, and Carol is looking in to this for us but again this reflects on us as a business as we are promising our customers items and they are arriving late or not at all which isn't fair on them, for that reason I have no choice but to find an alternative courier company.
2months to deliver a 24hr parcel. And countless emails / calls.
Have most likely lost my rare and near irreplaceable Dashboard.
Took almost a year to find one of daily searching, 24hr delivery is already over a week late, they're now saying they don't know where it is "there is a massive backlog" we're processing as fast as we can. Yet i've been asked to send photos so they can locate the parcel.
Grated there as been snow of recent, however a week late for 24hr delivery, is terrible and they fact they've not even scanned it into the hub.
Going to have to seek compensation for the lost of the Dashboard, Which i'm sure won't be easy.
2000% would not recommend them. Anything you care about or need for a deadline. This delay has royally screwed me over and i'm just going round in circles.
*update as of 1st may*
Although I still can not recommend Paisley to anyone, they did find my parcel, in Norway. Well actually a company phoned me telling me they had it. Quite the mess up.
Regardless, they did actually get the parcel back from Norway and used DHL to get it to me.
Carol from paisley, was always polite and tried her best to resolve things.
Regardless, still took 2 months, for a 24hr delivery. And In all honesty i should push for compensation of my time, and a refund for the 'service'.
But quite honestly i don't want anything to do with them again.
Just a small glimmer of hope for anyone that's missing their parcel. Be polite and just keep asking. Good luck if you choose to use this 'service'
Do not use this courier.Shocking company.48 delivery was paid for. But 144 hr delivery is what I got.One wheel was damaged , could see the hole in the packaging. They said they had been here the day before but no one answered the door. Two people were home all week. They left no card to prove it.They don't answer the phone ever and their emails are just lies.Never will I use Paisley Freight again,I won't recommend them to anyone.Use them at your own peril.
I have used Paisley Freight twice now to send alloy wheels to buyers. What a fantastic service! In both cases the collection was organised within 12 hours of my placing the order on line, and the delivery exceeded expectations arriving the next day, and delivered according to the special instructions provided. The online tracking is excellent and the price very reasonable. A real pleasure to do business with them.
If they fail to collect you pay Β£10 to arrange next day
Beware it will cost you Β£10 if they miss a collection they use other couriers to collect .if you miss a collection ie courier doesn't show it will cost you Β£10 to Re book the following day .rip off
A delivery of alloy wheels was damaged by Paisley Freight in late November, despite initially agreeing I had a valid claim they proceeded to ignore all my email correspondence through December. Finally at the beginning of January they sent me a very poorly written email claiming my alloy wheels hadnβt met their packaging requirements so my claim had been dismissed. They stated boxes were required for all alloy wheels to be transported in when it CLEARLY states on their website that the requirements are for them to be wrapped in bubble wrap and enclosed in cardboard. I had paid the extra money for the insurance and had wrongly assumed this would be an easy case to sort.
I would strongly recommend people avoid Paisley Freight and do not purchase their extra insurances.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I sent 4x 19" BMW Alloy Wheels - They've arrived damaged, I made sure I insured them for over half the value (Β£500) to recuperate any costs with damage as surely they couldn't do it to all 4. Since they've stringed it out, eBay has refunded the buyer so they have my money and my wheels - They've now just emailed me back 5 mins before their closing time saying they will not continue with the claim as they where not placed in cardboard boxes - their packaging outlines state ENCLOSED IN CARDBOARD which they where, a bloody lot of it too, along with commercial large bubble wrap - you want to avoid this company at all costs. What a absolute scam and I will be taking this to court. SHUT THEM DOWN! IDIOTS!
Purchased a bike from eBay and seller used Paisley Freight. Bike shipped on the 12th December, its now the 28th and it's still not arrived. Customer service is appalling, I've been cut off, put on hold for ages, promised updates which don't happen, and had no solid information. Look around the internet, there are many negative reviews, so I'm not alone. Despite this being a Christmas present they couldn't have cared less and basically just said it will turn up when they get round to it.
Used Paisley Freight for a gearbox conversion I had purchased online about a year ago. I arranged the collection and delivery myself rather than the seller so I could pay direct. The seller palleted everything up and let me know the measurements. I paid for the standard service rather than express to save money but my item was collected one day and arrived the very next day with absolutely no issues. Highly recommend.
