Review summary
Paisley Freight has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend
I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum £100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
Had a great experience with this company from start to finish. Picked up bike and delivered within timeframe (via APC) and customer services efficient and courteous. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again and would highly recommend. 5⭐️ Service
Absolutely awful company and a complete waste of time and money, they don't even deserve 1 star tbh but google doesn't allow 0.
1st failed collection was due to lack of communication THIER END, apparently they don't phone prior to arrival, they just turn up and expect you to be at home, paid again for a "recollection", item got collected, driver signed reciept and loaded the item with no issues at all, received another failed collection a few days later stating the item "exceeds dimensions" even though not only did the driver agree to take it, the item filled about 5% of his fan space, called customer services and spoke to one of the most abrupt and rude women I have ever spoken to in my life, so now the item is being returned to the original address as it was "declined at the depot", just don't see the point in collecting an item to then decline it at a later stage, like I've already said, absolute joke of a company, believe the bad reviews, trust me.
After using paisley freight for lots of parcels,a mountain bike was extremely badly damaged, and I was offered £50 towards the £200+ cost of new forks and brakes, and had to pay to get the bike back to myself, very unhappy with the service and I shall look for a new courier in future, the bike was in a bike box and very well packaged, the damage was done when the item was dropped very hard,
Sending wheels I wouldn't use anyone else!
Pallets on the other hand, I've not had one collected or delivered on time, also not a single one has arrived without damage! Rang about compensation where they're not interested. I won't send another pallet with them again!
Avoid at all costs! Took a bike to deliver (in a solid, proper bike box and well packaged inside it), basically beat it up, wrecked box and lost parts of the bike. Buyer didn't want to sign for it unsurprisingly so they sent it back to me. They were rude and unhelpful throughout and tried to get out of refunding cost of delivery and paying for repairs even though I’d taken out extra insurance. A lot of hassle and now I have a beaten up bike I can’t sell.
Please take my advice and book direct with APC. Paisley Freight are not a courier, they are a website that takes your business and use 3rd party courier to do the work.
I foolishly paid PF to transport a bike that I had sold. APC arrived to collect it with no paperwork whatsoever from PF. I asked the driver about them and he explained they just farm their orders out to APC.
I emailed PF to ask why they - they replied "We do state in our terms and conditions that we can employ any courier to carry the goods. Again we apologise this was not made clearer to you".
So there you have it AVOID Paisley Freight and save yourself a few quid.
P.S. As I write this review, the bike which was collected on 11/7/18 has still not arrived and that's after paying £45. SAY NO MORE!!
booked next day pallet service paid £116
no pallet on lorry on collection
no tracking info as promised
no communication at all
no delivery next day
lied to by staff saying it was out for delivery
what a shambles use these people at your peril
they have said it was a mistake by their booking system
now they have said its out for delivery again 2 days later!!!
no apology but a small refund still no delivery!!!
Excellent service, efficient and would definitely recommend and use them again. They picked my bike up for delivery and the purchaser received it by the next day. I had a query with regard to picking the bike up and emailed them. The reply was very quick.
