This was a few days ago and I just asked a simple question but Abby was really kind to me in her response! It was exceptional customer service because she actually treated me like a person, which I value. She also let me know about ways I could save my money with Origin. Overall a wonderful experience and I’m glad Origin is hiring wonderful people!
We were misinformed regarding the solar feed in Tariff. The Origin consultant told us the Government sets the rate but in actual fact it is the energy suppliers that set the rates in order to offer the most competitive package. The competition rate is higher than that offered by Origin. Also after agreeing to continue with Origin the consultant then tried to get us to switch our internet supplier and indicated there would be no penalty from our existing supplier, another misinformation. We feel the process to get the best deal is unnecessary, we have been loyal customers for a very long time and would expect the best deal should automatically be offered without needing to go through the trouble of negotiating with the Retention team. Now we are back with Origin if there are any exit fees applied by the alternative supplier we will be asking Origin to compensate us.
Good to finally get a company that shows a bit of empathy and some much needed time to get back on-top of bills

I recently spoke with Xander at Origin Energy who provided outstanding service. He took the time to listen carefully to my enquiry, asked questions to fully understand the issue and demonstrated genuine patience and professionalism throughout. Xander showed a willingness to go the extra mile—he not only investigated the matter thoroughly but also took the initiative in another matter to submit a request to have the account linked to an existing email address for invoice delivery. This step made things significantly more convenient for us and it is greatly appreciated.
I was helped by Dylan from Sales. He was extremely professional, helpful, friendly and super knowledgeable! My gas provider messed up and did not set up my gas which resulted in my gas being turned off. When I came back from holiday I had no gas at all. Dylan assisted in setting me up with gas the same day as well as helped me not get over charged for the gas bill and setup. I have even set up my electricity with Origin Energy now. He explained everything in the clearest way. I highly recommend Dylan as a very efficient employee!
