Octopus Electric Vehicles is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.

Delivery driver arrived bang on time - very straightforward handover process and I'm very happy with my new car
Excellent communication throughout the process
I had my EV delivered on the 5th of March. The car was delivered by Greenhous and a lovely driver got in touch on the day letting me know she had my car and will be turning up at midday. She was very professional and we completed the paperwork. However, the car had damage on the rear bumper which in itself would not be a problem. This doesn't seem to be logged in any of Octopus EV's systems even tho images were taken and phone call was made by the delivery driver upon delivery of the car. After all this, they are trying to pass me around various departments to book the car in through their driver line for bodywork repairs. The car also came with 3 versions out of date software and doesn't update over the air due to the size of the update. This makes the car's systems very glitchy (Polestar 4, read up on issues to understand). Again their response is to book the vehicle in for a service and maintenance through their driver line number. I would expect Octopus to be rectifying these issues given that this isn't something that happened after taking delivery of the vehicle but poor preparation by the pre delivery centre. For them to turn around and ask me to book in my own repairs and work around them with booking appointments is fairly poor on a £62K vehicle. Communication has also been very poor from committing to the agreement with them. This morning I raised a complaint with their department. I'm happy to give this rating a rethink once the issues are sorted but it very much depends on their approach.
Tony Justin at Octopus EV has provided a customer service experience that goes above and beyond, and has made what could have been a stressful task, a pleasurable one. Not only did Tony provide expert advice throughout the process, he helped guide my decision as a first time EV buyer moving from a petrol car. In the end, Tony helped find me something better than my original expectations, without compromising my initial budget. He also made sure I was offered an interim car within a matter of weeks, having sold my car fairly quickly. Everyone within our business will be speaking with Tony before making a decision on their new car, his insight is invaluable.
Amber from Octopus has been an absolute star. Unfortunately I've had some issues with the Energy side of Octopus, but she has been brilliant throughout and sped things up in the process, quick responses, clear, direct and extremely helpful! Highly recommend this team!
It is very easy to apply for a new EV.. 100% for that. but I have bit problem on the delivery day. they email me to arrange the delivery, and what is the convenient time for the delivery which I replied. with my surprise on the delivery day. I received a call and it will be deliver 10:00 in morning. (which I asked 4:30pm and been confirmed) that inconvenient need to ask my manager to quickly go to home to recieved the delivery. Then, My Peugeot E2008 Allure. (second trim level) Nice Car, BUT...... No Build in SATNAV. No Reversing CAMERA. No wireless charging...(its a 2024/2025 model???) In car reviews they said it already come in standard. (You should atleast specify the car specs so we will know what we are ordering.) If I only knew it will be the basic one... I should have ordered for different car... I have contact octopus EV for that but is already been 3 weeks since the delivery still no reply for my inquiry..
We all know that Octopus Energy customer service is second to none... Well, OctopusEV team blow them out of the water. Clear, informative and regular contact by both phone and email; each part of this journey was a breeze. Being new to PCH and EV's, I was quite unsure of what to expect, but with it being part of the Octopus family, I knew I was in safe hands and felt able to take the dive. PCH made financial sense - much cheaper than buying a second hand car and dealing with all the suprise repairs and stress. The addition of the free home charger, the specialist tariffs and the Octopus goody bag in the boot were just the icing on the cake. The diver assistance service reassures me that if I have a query throughout my lease, Octopus will be right there to advise, and the electroverse is incredible for finding discounted affiliated charging points. The electrocard means I don't have to risk using my bank card AND it can add the fee to my home energy bill.
Great service explained info very good even by emails
We recently rolled out the Octopus EV scheme for our employees and the whole process of setting up was so easy. Octopus EV team members are really helpful in communicating the progress and next steps of the process. I personally utilised the scheme once it was live and again the customer service was second to none. Post delivery, the service levels remained. Car was delivered within 3 weeks of ordering, with the charger installation 4 days post delivery.
I recently had my car delivered, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The delivery was timely, and the car arrived in perfect condition, just as promised. The delivery driver was professional, courteous, and kept me updated throughout the process. I appreciated the care taken to ensure the vehicle was safely delivered. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend it to others looking for reliable and efficient car delivery.
Excellent service
Really poor experience so far. Our company has been onboarded to the salary sacrifice scheme but trying to get an answer regarding any of my questions is like getting blood from a stone. I have changed my car order and the tracker is still showing the previous one and nobody can no one is able to give me an answer about what is happening and why this hasn't been updated. When I call in I get the same generic answer about the issue being raised and pushing the order through. Hopefully this can be swiftly resolved but at this point I'm not hopeful. Update - After Samantha got involved with my order everything has been plain sailing, she's a credit to this company. Car due for delivery this week, will update review after.
Excellent customer service throughout. Friendly staff, extremely helpful and responsive. 10/10!
Octopus Electric Vehicles claim on their website to provide the whole package including a charger and energy. When you actually go to place an order you're told that this is apparently three separate companies who all like to pass the buck when something goes wrong, so woefully misleading advertising there. The tool to order a vehicle itself is dire and the filters seem essentially useless against them pushing promotional offers in your face for low grade rubbish from China. ONE TO AVOID EDIT: Octopus Electric Vehicles are requesting my information, seemingly to try and induce me to remove my review. My feedback is above in black and white on your website and misleading marketing practices. EDIT 2: Have also just seen the banner on their page that they use AI assisted responses to reviews so it's not even a real person folks.
Very communicative team, always happy to answer any queries and quite knowledgable too!
I've had a car through Octopus since mid 2022. Late in 2023 it had a complete battery failure which resulted in it being gone for 4.5 months, during which time I was left with a lower-spec diesel replacement car from the manufacturer. Then a second catastrophic failure late last year resulted in the same thing, this time for 6 weeks. Following yet another failure in January this year, I opened the (from any sensible perspective, reasonable) conversation about returning the car, which obviously has major problems. This has been flatly denied, Octopus have _completely_ failed to advocate for me with the manufacturer and I am being forced to hold the car until the end of the lease or pay early termination costs. Through all of this Octopus has been happily taking my lease payments every month. I am a little flabbergasted at how badly I've been treated by this company. The test of a company's service is what happens when things go wrong - and on this basis, Octopus EV has failed miserably. If you're thinking about taking out a lease with them, beware.
quite a smooth process from order on receiving the car. everyone is really helpful
Excellent service with exceptional handover.
Leading up to the vehicle arriving and the charger being installed, I was inundated with emails from Octopus Energy. Many of these were just repeats and, in my opinion, were totally unnecessary. I was at the point of deleting without reading. I was told that the charger would be installed on 26th February and that this would take four hours, give or take fifteen minutes or so. When I was called to say that the car was ready, and when would I like it delivered I chose the same day. The day before, I had a text from the person doing the installation letting me know that he would be with me the following day. I asked if he had an arrival time booked, he said between 10am and 11,30am. That is quite a window for something that has been booked for weeks. I had provisionally booked a meeting thirty minutes away for 4.30pm, so figured that 11.30 plus four and a quarter hours would mean me getting there in plenty of time. The following day the car arrived at 9am, all good so far. At approximately10.20am the installer arrived. I showed him where I would like the charger put and he went off to do some checks. I gave him a set of keys to get in and out. At around 2pm, an electrician arrived to fit an electric box up on the wall for the charger. I queried why the installer could not have done this. He was not a qualified electrician it seems. What a shame that no-=one from Octopus Energy could have told me that in their frequent emails. Four o'clock came and went, as did five and six. At some time around 5.30pm, someone else arrived to help finish. They were clear by 6.50pm. Yes, I was warned that four hours was not set in stone but eight hours plus is poor. They swept up inside but I had to vacuum and mop inside and sweep and mop outside. On a plus, all of the people who came to the house were pleasant and polite.
