Customer Service NON EXISTENT - UPDATED REVIEW 17/06/25
***UPDATE: I am updating my review because after I posted, Dani at Octopus has been nothing short of amazing. She kept me updated every step of the way and made my order a priority. Dani stayed true to her word, and even when there was another slight delay, she was open and honest with me. I received a lovely bunch of flowers from Dani and the team, who went the extra mile to apologise for the handling of my order. They also covered half the cost of a rental car. I now have my new EV and couldn't be happier! I am over the moon with it. Thank you again, Dani, for looking after me.*** I ordered a car though Salary Sacrifice with Octopus on 11/03/25, the order was confirmed by the dealership on 13/03/25 - everything up to this point ran smoothly. The original delivery date was 31st March to 5th May, since then the delivery date has changed 3 times with no prior warning and no communication from Octopus. I have only found this out myself through tracking the vehicle. I have contacted Octopus on numerous occasions and their response is always the same ... "the order is progressing as it should and the dealership will be in touch soon to arrange delivery" - bear in mind that this is what I have been told for the last 4 weeks and that the delivery will be mid to end of May, then I found out yesterday that the date had changed to June to July!! On April 15th, I was informed that the car was in the UK. Yesterday I was told by someone else that the car is not in the UK?! No explanation given! I have questions - where is the car that was in the UK? Was it given to someone else? Was it sent back? Was it stolen? Or was it never in the UK in the first place? I do not have a car and Octopus know this, I have been paying for rental cars. Octopus originally said I could have an interim car, but at a cost of £700 per month! They said I would have to wait approximately 2/4 weeks for this and due to the fact that my car was due in around 4 weeks, I decided to stick it out and wait and then the car was delayed again! I have been told different information regarding delivery dates, lead-times for interim cars, location of my car and Octopus do not seem to care or offer any real explanation as to what has happened with this!! I was originally getting a new car elsewhere before I went ahead with this scheme, but when my manager spoke to me about it, I cancelled the car I was getting and went with Octopus, and I now wish I hadn’t bothered. I feel extremely let down and I would not recommend this company at all!
