Very professional and kept me informed all the way through.

We used Ocean to sell our rental property in Portishead and they just made life easy for us! The team were personable, honest and very reliable and responsive to communication. Paul in particular was relaxed and experienced, negotiating some difficult conversations on our behalf and keeping us professionally in the loop. We valued his experienced opinion and he built our trust easily making the sale our end as stress free as possible.

Melissa was great and really made us feel like we had someone fighting in our corner! I had been looking for a property to let in Portishead and walked into Ocean to inquire about a flat I spotted online. It was on the last Friday right before Christmas and all other estate agents in the area had fobbed me off. However, at Ocean Portishead, I was welcomed with a friendly and professional manner. And much to my surprise, Charlie and Kyra were happy to show me two properties nearby immediately. Kyra was especially helpful following the viewing. I decided to move forward and she kickstarted the complex administration process. Despite it being right before Christmas, the team managed to get all the references and checks complete for me to move in on the 20th of January. Kyra kept me in the loop and was there to answer my questions and facilitate the process. I’m very impressed by their efficiency and willingness to help. I highly recommend Ocean Portishead and will definitely use them again myself. Many thanks to Kyra, Charlie and all who made my move possible.

Kept well informed and up to date with everything

I had a great experience working with Ocean Estate Agent. From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, and easy to deal with. Their communication was excellent- they kept us updated at every stage and were always quick to respond to any questions. The staff were approachable and helpful, which made the whole process smooth and stress free. I really appreciated how they kept us informed and took care of everything efficiently. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a property.

The solicitors that we were with appeared overloaded with work. The searches for our property took almost three months to come back, and we were kept in the dark as we were not given any updates during this time. I had to contact them myself after two months to question what was going on and why we weren’t getting any information. A simple “sorry there’s a delay, but we’ll keep you in the loop” would have been enough - but we didn’t even have that. My main gripe with the solicitors have been the poor communication throughout (even after the searches came back!). Only once I had threatened to file a complaint because of the delays did they miraculously get back to me with updates within a couple of hours. I’m sure they’re good people, but if they’re being overworked then maybe they shouldn’t take on so many cases? Especially if it comes with the cost of poor customer service. They eventually got everything done which we are grateful for, but the experience was made stressful and I would not recommend ocean property lawyers to others.

I recently purchased a property through Ocean, and overall, my experience was positive and well-managed. A special mention to Chloe, who was helpful, responsive, and professional throughout the process. From the initial stages to completion, Chloe kept me informed and addressed my queries promptly. She coordinated with the sellers and ensured I had access to the property for necessary inspections. Even when challenges arose, she remained professional and did her best to assist within her capacity. While there were some delays in communication from the seller's side, Chloe ensured that I was updated whenever possible, which helped in keeping things on track.

Ocean found a buyer for my flat within days of it going on the market which was great. The listing looked good; the staff were friendly and efficient; and in a process that is inherently stressful, this sale went smoothly.

Ocean helped me secure a new flat within a matter of days. My agent, Jack Evans, was key, providing efficient communication and guidance.

Good and bad. Communication was a bit too effective to the point off being confusing. One email notification per day or visit to the property is probably enough for most people. I was receiving far more emails than I required.

Ocean managed to squeeze us in for a last minute viewing as we were travelling from afar and it was really appreciated. Jordan met us at the house, approachable, friendly and knowledgeable on the area. No pressure and she was able to give us any guidance on request to help our journey to being new home owners. From the very start with the free mortgage consultation, to viewings and communication with the team, it has been an easy journey with Ocean. They were very helpful chasing the necessary parties once the sale had been agreed and were very welcoming on completion day.

Really responsive team (Claire, Neil and Tracey) always on hand for any questions I had. They also updated my mortgage offer really quickly when I increased my deposit amount, as well as keeping me updated on changes to interest rates.
