I wouldn’t recommend this centre in Stockley Park for families with children or for anyone considering buying a membership for family use. The soft play area has been broken for several months now, an... See more

The personal trainers are excellent they show real interest and have helpful advice around your training routines. The morning classes are fun and just enough to give you some challenging routines. The gym is super friendly and I’ve made a number of pals.
I give 5* mainly for my trainer Paulo Alencar. He has been a great motivator over the last couple of years particularly when I have been down with no motivation. My Nuffield gym is located very conveniently but it is getting expensive so they need to justify the rates.
My personal experience with this hospital (Nuffield Chichester ) has been excellent, from the original bookings, the pre op tests and ‘on the day’, every step was expertly handled and I felt fully cared for. Thank you very much to the entire staff.
Paulo Alencar has done my assessment at Brondesbury Park / fitness. I felt very welcome and he are very wise and knowledgeable , he took my blood to check the glucose levels plus postural assessment-medical history…. I can say it’s way much better than was expected from PT in the gym environment. The gym has good facilities ( include clean bathroom and toilets) , love it that place . Gym floor are well organised and PTS are there to help .
My experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I truly appreciated the care and attention I received.
Great facilities and friendly environment at Nuffield Brondesbury. Personal trainer Paulo is a highly experienced and excellent professional.
The only person in the gym is Paulo, who is very helpful and always happy to help.
Paulo Alencar is an excellent personal trainer
Been a member of Nuffield for the past 10 years or so. Very clean with a good selection of equipment. All the personal trainers are helpful and experienced in particular Paulo Alencar, been partaking in his classes on a regular basis which I highly recommend.
I was treated with dignity and respect and received the highest quality of care. The nurses at Nuffield Health were attentive, and the doctors explained clearly what was happening both in the consulting appointments and on the day of my surgery.
Cannot fault the doctors or services when used. But as I have private health care they do not need to take money from me and yet they were insisting I give them my card details! Why? I don’t hand out bank details left right and centre. They did not need them. Did they listen? No. Very pushy! Had problems with money being taken from bank recently and this isn’t helping my paranoia.
This gym is not value for money, very expensive for what it is and not very clean for what you pay. The gym could do with a makeover and the toilets need to be updated and repaired. Some of the support are great, but other senior staff and management need to be trained in people skills. I will never go back to this gym again. NB the PT Staff all seem to be great, it is a shame that you can only book PT Sessions if you are a member of the gym - which is a rip off really.
Awful place! Admin needs to sort themselves out. Sent a two year old invoice out following a system update and tell me I owe hundreds. I disputed and they sent it to a debt collector. They lied to say they did not hear from me when they had. These big companies think they can treat the people who pay them very badly. We will never use Nuffield again, Spire every time. Take heed!
Unfortunately I compare my experience with the Wellinton Hospital when I had exactly the same decompression operation 12 years ago on my spine. This I could not fault the standard of care and nursing plus the operation I could not fault it was superb. My experience at the Nuffield was in stark contrast. The care both by the surgeon and nursing was poor. The nurses on organising my departure appeared chaotic after one night stay compared to three nights stay at the Wellington. I am left with the feeling I never want to go back there again.
Nuffield Health nuneaton gym. Had a price increase come through and decided to move gyms as its not worth the cost. Price increase came through on the 2nd and I tried to cancel on the 3rd. However, due to not giving a full calendar months notice they're demanding I pay for January as well. Their supposed to give a full calendar months notice which they never as the price increase is in January and won't let me end our contract at the end of December. They demand you keep to the contractual rules yet fail to follow their own. Very poor
I am grateful for the joint pain programme run at Nuffield. It is an excellent programme and is superbly run by Ben. I can highly recomend it to others.
No one picks phone or respond to voicemails in Bromley branch. This is for new membership enquiry. People at reception have got no interest to help.
Recently attended the 12 week joint pain program at Nuffield Health Shoreditch with Daen, our rehab specialist. He was very patient and attentive to each of our pain problems and needs, and adjusted the exercises and machines accordingly. He was really understanding and professional, and was very knowledgeable about overall well-being. My health stats have improved since my first Health Check which I’m really happy about. It was good to have the group to meet up with each week and to support each other with our joint pain issues.
In Dec 2019 I had surgery at Nuffield Brighton Hospital. After the surgery it became apparent that all had not gone well and I had hematomas. The junior doctor was so concerned that he called the surgeon in on a Saturday to assess my situation. When called in, after a perfunctory look, the surgeon very quickly said that everything was ok. I was at the time very concerned and expected to be returned to surgery to correct the problem. Despite that being the case I was discharged home that day with a 300 mile journey ahead of me. I attended for a post-op assessment in March 2020 and informed the surgeon that I was experiencing a lot of discomfort and numbness. He informed me that it would diminish over time. Due to Covid lockdowns I was not able to return to see the surgeon again until July 2021. At that time I informed Surgeon that my problem persisted. On an cursory 5 minute external examination the surgeons opinion was that it would get better over time. No further investigations were done. I pressed the surgeon about what could be done if the problem had not resolved over time. He point blank informed me he would not re-operate to correct the problem. I gave the issue several years to “get better over time” but it did not. When I requested further investigation in 2024 I was informed I was too late to complain, that is despite raising the issue soon after surgery twice in person, and on at least 3 occasions on the phone. I then sent in an official complaint but was told that complaints need to be issued within 12 months of surgery occurring. I had therefore effectively been placed in an impossible bind, whereby I would have had to complain before I knew the outcome of the post-surgical issue “resolution over time”, which the surgeon said was temporary, just in case it turned out that it was not temporary. In short, because I was informed that recovery would take at least 18 months, and could be years, I could not assess whether or not I was going to need to complain within the Nuffield complaints procedure timescales. Furthermore I think I should have been informed at that time that my recovery time would take me outside the complaint procedures timescales and that any complaint needed to be lodged straight away. Despite trying to go through the Nuffield complaints process they have not replied my escalations. In other words their complaints process is useless. Please beware. My advice to anyone thinking of having surgery at Brighton Nuffield is don’t do it. Nuffield have a pledge of "the very best clinical care, with no limits on your care". Don’t believe a word of it. If you instead decide to risk it, complain straight away about anything that does not go as you thought it would, just in case you needed to complain, otherwise you will be outside the 12 months. My reply to Ben from Nuffield below Thanks Ben for you reply. That was more than I have yet received in reply to my Stage 2 complaint. Unfortunately apologies will not address my problems, which I apprised Nuffield of on multiple occassion in person and on the phone, within 12 months of surgery. You take no responsibility for your mistakes. Shame on you Nor will any apology do anybody any good who comes to Nuffield for surgery in the future. Anyone out there don't use them.
