Great cruise , great price , amazing staff and entertainment

The overall experience from the staff, entertainment, food, drinks and excursions where excellent.

We had a lovely time on MSC Virtuosa, despite some negative reviews, it’s a lovely ship, clean and modern and hard working pleasant staff. It’s passenger capacity is large so yes you can expect some rude folk who can’t possible wait in a queue for all of 30seconds to get an slice of pizza or 5mine to get a drink and of course the sun bed hoggers and those who must have the same seat each day but we had a great time. We found the food overall very good and lots of variety. Yes there were some nights in the MDR it was a bit bland and boring and also repetitive. Speciality restaurants all very good and great value for money. Drinks package is great. Embarkation and debarkation flawless. The ship shuttles are expensive and for places like Valencia you have no option to use. We are happy to walk a few miles but there may be some passengers who can’t. We upgraded to Aurea and found it to be worthwhile, purely just not to have to go to the MDR, access to the thermal spa area was an added bonus. Loved my morning swim, even on the chilly days. The buffet is busy at peak times but it’s mirror image each side and if you go to the back it’s far calmer and plenty tables. Go with an open mind and you’ll have a lovely time.

Had an excellent vacation on the Virtuosa good value for money

The service in the yacht club was out of this world and definitely deserves a 5 star rating . However I registered a credit card once on board fully aware that MSC would place a pending amount on my credit card . On disembarking the ship MSC took the full amount of balance outstanding on my onboard account (Which is standard ) which was at least 4k euros . But on the same day as my account was settled MSC put a pending amount of 4k euros on my credit card !! Which indue course took me over my credit card limit . I received a very embarrassing letter from credit card company and this will obviously affect my future credit score . I did complain to MSC who were not sympathetic and ave Ty ally after 8 days the pending amount dropped off !!! Not good enough MSC I’m just glad I didn’t register my debit card as a pending of 4k May have stopped all my bills being paid ! I have sailed with a few other companies and once my cruise bill has been settled I’ve never had any pending amounts added to my card

1.Beeing my first time to cruise,I found no staff to help me find my way around, and when did they weren't helpful. 2.Bed linen wasn't changed once in 7 days cruising. Sheets had gone a yellow colour from sun creams. 3. No kettle allowed in rooms was a big NO for me. I like a cup of tea on wakening each morning. 4. Havin to walk to a hot water station to get water to have a cup of tea was very distressing for me. As I got lost all of the time. 5 While the food in the buffets was plentyful and tasty, the getting it was pure bedlam. I'm was very surprised I hadn't witnessed any accidents. Way to crowded with everyone pushing their way to get to food. Cups of hot water and plates of hot food had to be dodged to avoid crashes. As a first time cruiser I had nothing to compare my experience too. I do know a health & safety danger and the buffets were an accident waiting to happen.

great ship,very friendly crew and very helpful,cabins are very clean and comfortable,first class entertainment,and great excursions,all in all MSC is a great cruiseline and we are looking forward to booking our next cruise in the very near future

Food needs improvement Aurea package is just in name for which we pay a heavy amount.overall a good ship very busy buffet, disembarking needs monitoring. Staff is pleasant and helpful. I would recommend everyone to have a cruise they will be hooked to have another go again.

The experience was exactly what I hoped for.

My first experience with MSC Lirica was great and excellent. The food and overall entertainment was exceptional.

Good itinerary marred by docking miles from main city in ugly cargo terminals so very overpriced shuttle needed. Great entertainment. Lovely efficient staff.

Fabulous trip will definitley go again Resturant Staff were the best!
