Great Yacht Club Experience, Although Design A Little Strange. Would Recommend The Ship. She’s Beautiful! Food has definitely been improved ! Thermal Spa - Worst Experience Of My Life, Was Like A Kids Water Park, People Screaming Shouting, Super Noisy! When I Complained At Reception In Spa Were Disinterested And Rude. Ruined My Experience. Casino Was Poor, No Staff To Get Drinks - Overall Poor Show. No Smoking Option In Casino Is Welcomed !
We have loved MSC...previously. Value for money, great entertainment, great itinerary, and great ships. This cruise started out as a great cruise onboard Virtuosa for 2 weeks from 12th July - 26th July 2025, the entertainment was outstanding- best we've ever seen! The ship was beautiful and it was absolutely the best value for money. However, do not get poorly because the level of care goes out the window. My 8 year old collapsed in the shower. We had to carry my son down to medical on deck 4 because the medical team refused to come to deck 13. My son was not on their system or associated with our cabin, there was a random middle aged man in his place! They finally found my son and registered him to our cabin. My sons face was swollen and he developed an abscess in his left gum that was spreading to his eye socket. They said he needed to go to hospital to have it drained. Arrived at medical for 08.10 for morning meds. I was told the taxi leaves for the hospital at 08.15 and we needed to go now. I had to back to the cabin, grab cruise cards, money and family. Rushed back to medical to then be told the taxi will take an hour! ..we waited. We were told taxi was on its way, so we were escorted off the ship and told to wait on the dockside as a fsmily of four...30 minutes later the taxi arrived but already had a passenger and only space for two people... Not four as organised with the receptionist at the medical centre onboard. The taxi guy said he was told it was for two by the medical centre. We compromise. I left in the taxi with my son and the stranger. My partner goes back to medical to complain, and the receptionist says: well, you can always catch the bus seperately!! My son and I got dropped off at the hospital, charged £160.. my son was seen by a doctor. We are then told we need to go to the paediatric hospital bacause this hospital doesnt deal with children! - but they just saw him!!!! We wait another further 30 minutes for the taxi to then take us to the right hospital where I'm charged £135. The hospital are amazing and very patient with my bad Spanish and Google translate skills. After minor surgery, we get discharged and back to the ship. ... then comes the ships medical bill. It turns out It's charged to the wrong person...and the amounts are different. After a long visit to customers service on deck 5 where the rep was as confused as we were, it turns out there's an envelope behind the desk with the additional charges explained and the wrong person eradicated. What started out as our normal AMAZING experience of MSC , with a phenomenal kids club with Carla and her team, was soured in the last 4 days with this extremely stressful situation that was further impacted by clumsy administration and unacceptable professionalism. It's made us question whether we should try a different cruise company next time.
Food poisoning
We had the most amazing time with MSC Cruises – truly our best holiday yet! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional, and what made it even more special was the outstanding quality of the staff onboard. A huge thank you to James, Robert, Aldrin, and Edgar – each of them went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made us feel so well cared for. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their friendly smiles really added to the overall joy of the cruise. Everything from the food to the entertainment was top class, but it was the personal service from the staff that made this trip stand out. We can’t wait to book our next MSC Cruise – already counting down the days! Highly recommend.
This is a beautiful ship we have been on 4times and enjoyed every aspect of it
What I liked about the cruise was the majority of the staff special mentions to Carla (Kids Club) Omkar , Michael and rest of staff at Masters of the Sea,Rishabh , Anthony and the teams at the pool bars and the waiters Bali,Sam etc and Imam and his team in the Blue Danube these people helped our experience a lot and credit to them all for their hard work. What I didn't like was the way in which I was spoken to by the manager of the kids club South African and to ask me to have a word with my non verbal disabled daughter and after explaining this to him he proceeded to ask me again to have a word with a 4 year old who doesn't understand. My daughter has been in the kids club on four separate cruises on Virtuosa for 12 or more days and this was the first time anything had been raised about her. My wife and I were extremely annoyed and as a result we didnt take her back to the kids club.Anytime we left our daughter in she was only left for a short period of 1 to 2 hours maximum that gave us a small break. The other thing that annoyed me was the administration before our cruise began and to be awarded an upgrade and informed of this and the money taken from the account then to not be advised that our upgrade had been taken away. I find the whole upgrade process very frustrating and completely ruined the week leading up to our cruise.
MSC seaside was a nice ship, cabin clean & comfortable, food a huge let down main restaurant food lukewarm not a great selection also not good choice of drink in main dining area unless drank beer/wine, buffet was ok typical buffet food very busy, steak house was excellent struggled to get sunbeds, staff very nice excursions a waste of money better doing your own thing.
Quicker service in bars. Hygiene in buffet Cleanliness of public toilets and higher standard of cabin cleanliness

Value for money. The staff are excellant. Food is brilliant all over. Room always tidy but not always clean enough. The ramp for excursions could be better as i use a mobilty scooter. Bars are very good. Children especially teenagers to behave a lot more.
This ship is very big . Allow yourself time to find out where every thing is.

Friendly staff, clean and well maintained ship, food was excellent and varied. Plenty of bars offering all the cocktails, wines & spirts, beers etc. wonderful for children, plenty for them to do. We traveled 11th July 2025 until 26th July 2025.
Ship was nice, staff friendly, helpful & efficient, cabin clean, struggle to get sunbeds, food very poor in main restaurant, buffet ok, excursions a waste of money very unlikely to sail with seaside again
