Filing a claim was super easy and the EOB made was easy to understand

Super easy to use, had a credit within 3 days of filing a claim.

Incredibly misleading with how they define “pre-existing conditions”. My dog has had a yeast infection once before and an ear infection, and Lemonade will now no longer ever cover either of those illnesses because she had them before. Condition would you lead you to believe it refers to long-standing or incurable diseases. Broken bone prior to starting? Sorry not covered. Eye infection one time in 2 years? Sorry not covered. Parasite during puppy age? Sorry not covered. They will do anything they can and will even try to tie prior illnesses into new ones by claiming that they are sometimes related and that is proof enough to deny a claim. Combine this with needing to meet your deductible, which fun fact for you, if your Coinsurance is %80 they only apply %80 of covered costs towards the deductible, as well as cover %80 once you hit the deductible. This means your $500 deductible is really $600. So doing some napkin math I would need to pay OOP $1200 (~$600 premium + deductible) for them to pay a dime…. even taking into consideration a fairly major incident it's just not worth the money. Also if you ever move states they wipe your deductible and make you restart from $0. Instead of wasting your money, save what you would pay each month for their awful coverage (~$55 for a healthy 2 yr old dog) and just have a dedicated fund. This doesn't apply if you are looking to insure a young dog or cat. You are heavily punished for not starting a policy at essentially 12-weeks.

Quick and easy claim process

I used a desktop web browser to buy and pay for insurance. I mean, who would use a mobile phone over a desktop. Large screen, keyboard. What! Download the app to do anything. No thanks. Claim time. Forced to download an app. WOW - what's going on - record a video of yourself! A video screen conversation with an employee in Zoom would already be a no no no. No way renewing. If Lemonade understood, they would discount / pay users to do the video thing - and likely be surprised that even a £20.00 discount doesn't tempt others. Some people don't cheapest of humiliation - plus the fact - what endless cloud vendors store these videos - forever. It's obviously you are being analysed for AI fraud training ...

Ik ben hier verzekering. Je dient een claim in maar voor mooie termen ben je niet verzekerd. Ik zeg dit oprecht betaal liever te veel dan deze oplichters als verzekering goedkoop is duurkoop. Geen juiste afwijzing geen juiste beoordeling en ze sturen geen expert. Ik ben jaren hier verzekerd nooit een claim gehad maar ze laten je stikken.

Fantastische dienstverlening. Toen er bij mij was ingebroken wees Lemonade in eerste instantie mijn claim af. Nadat ik extra informatie had opgestuurd werd mijn claim toegewezen en de werkdag erna uitbetaald. Het claim proces ging erg eenvoudig en ik kreeg mijn volledige claim bedrag toegewezen.

I have had Lemonade for 3 years for Home Insurance, at about $1500 per year. Right now it is September 2025 and I just received my renewal...wanting $7,394. We have never had a claim. Looks as if they just decided they don't want our business anymore. I would now not use them for anything as they have shown their true colors.

I have used Lemonade for renters insurance for all 3 of my college age kids. The service is priced fairly, super easy to set up, and even easier to cancel when the lease was up. A fantastic user friendly provider.
