Super budget choice. We rented a mid-hatch for a month driving from Melbourne to Brisbane. No issues whatsoever and upon returning the car we even got dropped off at the airport by a super friendly worker. Would def recommend.

The van was fully equipped, the roof Tent was quite easy to set, and way more comfortable than I expected. I'm not going to give it 5 starts just because it is the second time that I hire a jucy and again the fridge doesn't work
Good value car rental, slightly older vehicles but very serviceable. Only problem is afternoon closure on a Sunday.

I really liked the online check-in. Makes it so much easier when picking up the rental! I liked the free airport shuttle too. A big advantage with Jucy! The Jucy staff is really friendly and welcoming! I´m on my roadtrip with the Jucy rental rn and I really like the van. I have everything I need in the car and it´s very comfortable! I can highly recommend Jucy!!!

Edit answering them: There is no turning around! The holidays are over and I already sent a mail to the feedbackteam and asked for compensation and a refund of additional money I lost because of Jucy, all they did was say you already got so much money back you don't get any more money. Guess what, it wasn't my fault that they piled up so much money to refund me, it was their own incompetence but hey what do I know. This just made it clear that I will be giving the case to my lawyer now. In short: Had a horrible experience that felt like we were getting pranked by them. Campers are mostly old, disgustingly dirty and very faulty, they always pull to the left and it's exhausting to drive. Ours made noises it shouldn't have and the tires were smoother than the skin of a baby (but only on the inside so you couldn't see it) which is super dangerous. If you are lucky and they get you to where you want to be, good. If you are not, you are absolutely fu***d. The road assistance is basically nonexistent. You hear some funny music for 10 minutes and then you always talk to a different person. They have in common that none of them cares, they do nothing or the bare minimum and they never call you back. No-one feels responsible for you even though it actually is their job. After 3 pm, everyone wants to go home and you get left wherever you are by then. They also lie to you. Eventually you get your booking cancelled midst journey because they don't want to deal with you anymore. I have to say that after they (possibly illegally) cancelled our booking midst journey, the refund process worked well afterwards. The money you save by booking with them is not worth it compared to the nerves, time and happiness you lose if something goes wrong with your camper.
I'm really disappointed with the experience, it started with the fact that I was entitled to two chairs that didn't come, then the outside light didn't work, when I went to make lunch I discovered that the stove didn't work and the sink was blocked. Very bad service. I called them and after waiting an hour I had no solution. I had to have cold food for dinner!
Friendly service, however make sure you have a Sim card that can make calls, as my Sim only had internet and could not make calls!
We’ve been in contact again yesterday and after a a few weeks, we finally got our offer for compensation to be accepted. Still, the experience wasn’t good while travelling through Australia with not 1 but 3 cars because of all the issues. I’ve updated my review from 1 star to 3 to be neutral after the compensation you’ve given. Hope that we can make it work and not have another horrible experience in NZ… ___________ Please NEVER rent a car with Jucy Our first car we payed $118 AUS a day for (for a total of 6weeks) and we got the worst rental car ever! the first issue we encountered was a malfunctioning refrigerator spoilage of food and additional expenses. This was not the only problem we endured: - The door of the trunk broke down so we couldn’t use our kitchen and once again we had to dine out more than we planned - At the side of the car there was a plastic loose and after driving the first day it started to hang loose so we put it back on with tape (our new car has is as well but not as bad as the other one, see attachment ) - The floor inside of the car where the table was supposed to fit in was loose so the table couldn’t stand straight, it was shaky and we could not use it - It was impossible to use the ventilation grills for the AC they were falling down - The driversplate in the front of the car was hanging loose (we had to screw it back everyday) - Our windshield wipers were not changed in ages and it was even dangerous to use them cause it left so many strips you couldn’t see anything - It wasn’t possible to open or close the car back doors of the car, we had to do it from the inside - And other minor things as one cup holder was broke, steering wheel was dirty, on the buttons you couldn’t tell what it meant because it was whipped out (lights etc) - The windows from the backseats couldn’t be opened at all, when we sleep in the car at night, it gets really difficult to breath if you can’t let in a bit of air. Moreover, the camper was operating in 'overdrive' mode, a setting that we were not informed about when we picked up the vehicle. As a result, we had to refuel much more frequently (everyday!!) than anticipated for even short distances, significantly increasing our fuel expenses throughout our journey. We got a total amount of $309 back for the accessories we rented (as a show of goodwill for our high food expenses and the fuel). And got a new car cause our car had too many issues they could not fix. With our second car we couldn’t open the door from the driverside anymore and also our fridge broke down for the second time. We left our car at the garage and the mechanic told us he could not fix it but can get a new fridge in (Jucy would call him back for this, and they didn’t) the car was 3days at the garage and called Jucy ourselfs again, they promised to call us back and like always, Jucy doesn’t. In total we’ve been tot a mechanic 5times. Jucy told us we’ll get the days back we spend at the garage and that they can’t compensate the 10days of our first horrible and even shameful car the rented us. But they can do marketing advertisements on ‘ take the nicest picture, and get your money back for the rented vehicle’ what about giving people their money back for unusable cars. We’ve been reasonable and only asking back our 10days. And still until this day we have a broken refrigerator cause Jucy doesn’t get back to us. Unfortunately they do not care about customers and only about the money and rip you off! If you want to enjoy your trip DONT BOOK A JUCY!!!! it’ll save you money and time.
Awful experience. Spent 6 hour on pickup before the car was ready. No electricity in outlets, horrific gas milage, broken equipment, badly cleaned, lights not working. Exceptionally bad service, manager chose to hide instead of dealing with the multiple other angry customers. Spent 10 hours on the phone in total on the phone, it completely altered our holiday plans because of staff incompetence. Its cheaper to go Greyhound and hotels.
More than the ride, it was the customer service that's an ace to this company. We booked a three-berth Campervan but had last minute changes and needed an extra bed. The team were prompt to arrange for us and even gave us better option. On the day we picked the ride, a lady named Liza was very patient in explaining to us the specs and answered all newbie questions we had. She welcomed us back when we returned the van, and willingly showed us the 6-berth option we want for our next trip. Kodus to Jucy Team Auckland!
I really liked the ease of collection. It was really easy. I liked the information they give at reception as it helps to know the rules if you have never been to New Zealand and I really liked how lovely the girl who drove our shuttle was. The car was very very clean, smelt good and was well equipped. 10 out of 10 for Jucy!
