Horrendously BAD service department, lazy rude service advisors, lazy rude service manager, this garage is out to charge customers for warrantable items!!
Clearly none of them know how to do their jobs whatsoever!
A car, a DS, taken in for a recall with a fault or issue nothing to do with the EV battery but upon picking the vehicle up has developed an EV battery fault (charging error) then told by the garage after another visit that the battery has been found to be at fault & told it needs a new one to be paid for by the customer(!!) on a car still under manufacturers warranty that’s done only 12k mileage?!
I being an ex-service advisor found the DS automobiles U.K. site very interesting, the battery is covered under an 8 year OR 100k mile warranty…ie checked to 70% capacity & cells removed & or repaired if necessary UNDER WARRANTY for the 8 years OR 100k miles - so no the customer does NOT need to pay for a new battery it needs to be replaced or repaired under the warranty guidelines! This information took me 10 minutes to find!!
Try having a bit more customer service & doing your jobs more thoroughly & properly John Grose!!!
