The chocolate is no longer the same quality: it tastes cheap but at a luxury price. Unlikely to buy again. It seems sadly you can't have quality and chase a large market share.

4 packets of my velvetiser sachets the assorted packets have a best by date of next month as a pensioner living alone it is a lot to use up. chocolate itself is first class

Amazon broke my letterbox trying to put chocolates through, then left them on my doorstep in the sun, ridiculous, complained to hotel chocolate and guess what there doing nothing about it, won't be shopping there again.
Chocolates are great but disappointed with the delivery service provided by Royal Mail. Despite working from home, my parcel was left three doors down, hidden behind a wheelie bin and under plants at an elderly neighbour’s house. This is not only inconvenient but also concerning particularly with the current heatwave. Due to this, I’ve decided to cancel my subscription with immediate effect.

I ordered several chocolates for my mums 80th and they arrived melted. We were very disappointed.
I asked for it to be delivered on 88th birthday if my uncle and paid higher delivery charges it was delivered this evening a day late
My husband recently ordered me a Classic cabinet from Amazon as a pick me up as I am awaiting surgery Unfortunately they arrived in an awful state, looking like they had been stored badly i.e they had melted and then re-set. We did get a refund from amazon eventually and was advised by my local store to take it up with Hotel Chocolat head office, which I did. By way of compensation they offered me a small pack of chocolates from the selector range which they then sent to the wrong address. After some back and forth they sent a gift voucher which I spent at my local store in Cheltenham. I have to say the staff there were a lot more helpful. Elliot and Jo were delightful and feel they were more understanding so my thanks to you both. See you again, Jane
Delivery was a day late. Paid for a specific delivery date and didn't turn up. Was told delivery was attempted but that was obviously a lie as son was sat in all day waiting.
Awesome service,fast track and communication Special taste of chocolate, as a gift is so nice and special! Champagne truffles just try and enjoy,so delicious Also to mention of good packaging,not any damage or liquids of chocolate in summer days I would definitely recommend them!
Ordered a box of Everything Sleekster with Birthday Balloons Sleeve. Paid extra for delivery on a named day as it was for a 60th birthday. Got an email the evening before the expected delivery to learn that Amazon was in possession of the chocolates and that they would deliver them the day after I paid for. The recipient would not be there on that day so would not get the present for some days after the actual birthday. Phoned Hotel Chocolat. The individuals I dealt with were very helpful but in reality could do nothing but make a refund. So my point is that they cannot really be relied on for special events. Disappointing from what I supposed was a quality company. Beware.
Without doubt the best chocolates. I opted for a gift box as for a birthday and must say the box compared to the chocs was huge. It’s was all packaging inside. Maybe have different size boxes to accommodate the size of the order????
I've bought quite alot of different hot chocolate and the some of there biscuits the finger log ones are so beautiful made raspberry flavour just love whatever flavour you ask for it will taste of it.
Ordered 4 gifts. All of them delivered much later than advertised and promised!

Chocolates are 5 stars and excellent. However, delivery by Royal Mail is appalling!! Paying extra for quick delivery is OK but not when Royal Mail take and extra day to deliver it than what you (Hotel Chocolat) have specified on the order confirmation. I have sent an email to the customer services team for a refund of the additional delivery cost. Time to change Courier or at least give the customer a choice of courier firms as I would never use Royal Mail they are hopeless and don't care which is reflecting on Hotel Chocolat business. I understand you arranged for Amazon to deliver my order today. I was at work, so I expected the sleekster box (post box size) to be put through the letter box, not left near my porch in the pouring rain and direct sunlight. Not happy about this as the delivery was after 1300hrs, I finish work at 1700hrs. Hence, my reason for ordering a postable sleekster box.

This is Glasgow Buchanan Street Store, I was here on 23rd of June 2025, I came in on 5:50pm, the cafe was to close at 6:30 but they had already closed the cafe, we were looking forward to it. The shop closes at 7pm. Please get a more responsible management, the products are good. They said machine was not working properly so they closed, how would you serve all dah with a non working machine they were cleaning the machine after use if it was broken then it would not be used in the first place, very disappointed.
Ordered two separate birthday boxes of chocolates for friends, specifically asked if they could be left with neighbours if the recipients aren’t in. But both orders were left on my friends doorsteps, in the direct, crazy heat & then the heavy rain we had! So their deliveries were sadly melted & were water logged by the time they received their birthday gifts 😔
Very unhappy 😔! I know yesterday (21st) was a really hot day, but the chocolates delivered by Amazon were pretty much in edible - all melted together! I took a picture but can’t see anywhere to attach it.
