Surprise Birthday chocolates slung in the recycling wheelie bin. I had to ring my parents to tell them to fish it out! Amazon, all you had to do was ring the door bell and my mum would have answered the door but I guess that is too much to ask!

Ordering was easy. It arrived well packaged and looks great.

I ordered some chocolates for Father’s Day. Unfortunately Royal Mail chose to deliver them to my door step in full direct sunlight despite it having a label that clearly stated KEEP OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT. This got delivered on the hottest day of the year, as a result the chocolate melted and the father’s days gift is ruined.

I wanted to buy a few gifts from the Harrogate shop today and had a lovely experience with Rebecca. She helped me find a few different bits and package them up perfectly. I hope to see you again soon, thank you!

They use Red skimmed milk for milkshakes 👀 Apparently makes milkshake taste better (Is that because skimmed is full of suger) the person serving was shocked that i said its full of suger like i was lieing ... Milkshake was 2/10 at best! YOU USE FULL FAT MILK FOR MILKSHAKES the fact you don't know that is really worrying 😕

The recipient of the chocolates was very happy with them and the packaging including the posh bag with the ribbon which I paid extra for. However the message card was not included and that was a bad omission.

This was my first purchase from you. My order arrived quickly and I received regular messages keeping me informed of where my parcel was in transit, which I found nicely reassuring, as I needed it to arrive by a particular date. the gift bag I ordered with the chocolates is beautiful, I especially liked the ribbon used and it fulfilled my idea of the look of a special present I wanted to give to my wonderful daughter-in Law. I am 100% pleased with my purchase and will certainly be a returning customer! Thank you so much.

Product is usually good but the delivery being £4-£5 is a bit of a joke really especially when being done through Amazon for that price it should be sent privately by a decent company especially considering Amazon literally do free delivery 90% of the time so it’s like I’m paying premium delivery for sub standard delivery it’s like your just milking extra profit like you don’t make enough as a company

I’m sure the chocolates will be lovely but the delivery driver delivered them to the wrong house!

I bought 6 boxes of them for my son's teachers, but all the best before date is Aug 25, less than one and half month!

Went to the Harrogate store today to get a present and I was served by Poppy - she was an absolute delight, so friendly, smiley and chatty! She chatted to my toddler and was really fast and efficient putting my transaction through. Thank you Poppy, you are an asset to hotel chocolat!

I bought these chocolates as a present and I am fully aware it’s not your fault but the driver left the chocolates in full sunshine on our doorstep. By the time I arrived home the box was really hot and no doubt the chocolates would have melted. It clearly stated not to be left in direct sunlight. I am loathe to give the chocolates as a present now as they will all probably be a squishy mess.

I can only report that eventually all went well and the Chocolate Happy Birthday slab was delivered on the correct day and was very happily received. My only problem was negotiating the ordering procedure - a little too complicated and lengthy.

Bought these for a friend in the hope that they would be able to post them through their letterbox but they were unfortunately left outside the door instead.

Excellent service...gift delivered on time for son's birthday.
