I love Heymondo. The variety of services they offer for traveling insurance makes it versatile and great to fit any traveling. I'm always doing adventure sports and traveling with electronics, so having the option of coverage is the best part.
A great value budget insurance and the app is an added bonus
Es un seguro que se anuncia como que te cubre los siniestros con tu maleta y es un engaño. Se lavan las manos y tienes tú que pelearte con la aerolínea y solucionar tú el problema. Para que sirve que te pongan esa cobertura si ellos no se molestan en hablar con la compañía y solucionarlo ? . Como todo sea igual estamos apañaos. Me siento engañada
I have contracted Heymondo travel insurance twice, luckily I haven't had to make a claim so far. However, the experience with customer service has been excellent. I am planning to travel again soon and have questions to in order to choose the best option for me. Diana has been answering them so kindly and patiently. She is helpful and professional. Bought before, easy to buy
Vine por trabajo a Dubái y decidí contratar HeyMondo para asegurarme durante el viaje, el tercer día me dio un dolor muy fuerte por lo que decidí llamar a la empresa para que me dijeran donde ir (MUCHO CUIDADO PORQUE NO TIENEN CONVENIOS CON TODOS LOS HOSPITALES). Cuando llegué al hospital que ellos me dijeron, resulta que al haber hecho mi seguro estando ya fuera de España, no te aseguran y el seguro se considera nulo (eso sí, el dinero que has pagado, se lo quedan), cosa que no aparece EN NINGÚN LADO cuando pagas. Me encontré totalmente desamparado en un ciudad donde el coste médico es altísimo. Además, NO TRABAJAN EN FIN DE SEMANA, me dijeron que la empresa estaba de vacaciones y que no podían asegurarme que cubrieran los gastos. NO CONFIAR EN ELLOS, POR FAVOR.
Pésima asistencia médica en Japón. La verdad que todo mal, menos mal que al final no fue nada grave. 1º La comunicación es solo a través de su app (o a traves de llamada telefonica que el propio cliente tiene que asumir el coste). La llamada de "emergencia" a través de la app funciona DE PENA, saliendose automaticamente de la aplicacion cada minuto y medio. 2º En horario matutino tanto en España como en Japon (4 de la tarde alli 9 de la mañana en españa), sigo los pasos indicados consultando mi caso a su medico online que me indico que contactara con el servicio de emergencia para que me derivaran a un medico. El servicio de emergencia me indicó que en dos horas me facilitarian el centro medico al que acudir en mi zona, estando en una gran ciudad de japon (2horas!!). 3º Esto nunca pasó, y estuve 7 horas esperando a que me derivaran a un centro medico. Me pidieron 3 veces los mismos datos. Me contestaron indicandome el centro medico al que acudir a las 00:30. 4º Cuando por fin me derivan, acudo al centro medico y me dicen que no me pueden atender. Llamo a la asistencia y me dicen que van a llamar al gerente. 5º Me dicen desde Heymondo que me derivan a otro hospital pero que no me cubren los gastos por adelantado y que tendre que pagar yo la visita medica. 6º Terminan atendiendome en el hospital donde me derivaron la primera vez de forma poco profesional en la sala de espera despues de tener que ponerme pesada con que queria hablar con la encargada. Conclusión: Experiencia pesima, nada recomendable, menos mal que al final no fue nada grave
publicita el contrato como que cubre enfermedades prexistentes. textual: Incluido Enfermedades crónicas, preexistentes o congénitas - urgencias PERO LUEGO AQUI EN ESTE MISMO FORO REFIERE QUE NO CUBREN. Es una publicidad engañosa o hay alguna explicacion valida.

Al momento della prenotazione è stato possibile selezionare l'opzione annullamento viaggio e il sistema di prenotazione non ci ha ne informati ne bloccati in merito a questa discordanza di date, in quanto la procedura chiede tutte le date. Non potevamo quindi sapere che l'annullamento non sarebbe stato acquistabile e quindi non valido. Ho ben chiaro che non farete nulla a seguito di questa mail, ma di sicuro io non farò mai più nessun tipo di polizza con voi, né i miei famigliari.
Volevo ringraziare. Il Signor Giuseppe di Heymondo per il suo supporto passo per passo mi ha pure chiamato se era la assicurazione che desideravo molto professionale ti ringrazio. Ancora Giuseppe.
Thanks for your answer and updates. It really shows how your company operates that the reason I'm not covered by your insurance is because my dad got sick 2 days before our trip started. If it had happened right at the airport, then the insurance would have kicked in. So, now I get that I paid for insurance that was basically canceled before we even took off. You didn’t provide any service but still took my money. The least you could do is give me my money back since I got nothing out of this. It feels like a scam. You should probably stop offering coverage for family illness or accidents since it only seems to apply when it suits you. Best regards. Heymondo the phantom coverage. I got an insurance travel with this company and exactly 2 days before departing my father who is an elderly was hospitalised for 7 days. Me and my partner swapped everything we could flights for a late date, obviously paying high prices for that, and we lost some activities we had booked in the destiny. Do you think this marvellous insurance cover me in any way? Nop, not even a “we are sorry about your situation”

Easy to buy and clear details of the policy
Filed a claim first week Dec 2023 - we keep contacting them asking why it’s taking so long. Filled out all the forms and sent them in. They keep saying we need documents. Our travel agent sent a detailed email explaining what money was refunded and what we lost. They keep saying emails aren’t good enough. That’s how everyone communicates! If I would have known they were not located in North America- never would have used them. We are still waiting for our refund 4 months later. We are seniors who need that refund to pay our bills.
Abbiamo avuto un problema di salute a Zanzibar, niente di grave, ma abbiamo preferito richiedere un consulto medico. Tramite l’app abbiamo aperto la pratica e la sera stessa è stata organizzata la visita del medico presso il nostro hotel. Ci ha visitato e si è occupato di andare in farmacia per noi. La prestazione l’abbiamo pagata in anticipo, ma una volta rientrati, previo invio della documentazione, siamo stati rimborsati totalmente. Consiglio di rimuovere le franchigie, così non saranno a vostro carico nemmeno quei soldi. Ho appena prenotato una nuova polizza premium per il mio prossimo viaggio! Speriamo di non doverla usare, ma se dovesse servire siamo protetti!
Easy, very friendly app and website.
My flight was cancelled the day before my flight. I had to buy a different ticket with another airline at the last minute. They said it was more than 24-hours before my flight so they didn’t provide financial compensation between the two flights. The sad thing is, it was 20-hours before the flight should have left, but it was delayed 8-hours before it was cancelled. They did nothing but tell me to go back to the original airline for compensation. They responded quickly, which is why 2-stars. Don’t expect much, and there is so much fine print to read.
