Gracias a Dios no lo he tenido que usar. Pero ya lo he comprado varias veces para mis viajes porque he leído muy buenas reseñas de esta compañía de pólizas de viajero, de otras personas que si lo han utilizado por problemas en sus viajes y que les han pagado rápido y los atienden bien en caso de emergencia. Por lo menos a mi me gusta que tienen una app en donde tienen la información y que también tienen un número de WhatsApp para hablar por cualquier emergencia

I broke my lock on 2 separate flights but the same leg of my trip. I had it fixed in rimowa store near my hotel (luckily they do it on the spot so fast) and i got my refund through hey mondo for the locks that i paid for.

I screwed up and forgot to purchase insurance until I landed in another country. HeyMondo still sold me a policy, but it doesn't take effect for 72 hours. I understand they don't want someone purchasing insurance after they're already in distress, but how's about some sanity - if I get hit by a car tomorrow, I'm not covered. That's stressful. Charge me a penalty, and add an exclusion for pre-existing conditions, but there's no need to blanket refuse coverage.

Such an easy process. It only takes a matter of minutes. We have used Heymondo before and will continue to do so.
I accidentally hit my left little toe. It swelled up and I can only walk with great pain... I am currently on vacation and have their premium policy. Today is Sunday, and since this morning since 7 o'clock or so I've been trying to talk to them and I can't have a complete conversation. I tried from their "Customer Service" application and there is no one online for 8 hours, I keep trying... I left messages there, nobody answered my messages yet... I called "Travel Assistance", I find it hard to answer, and after a few words are exchanged, they tell me that they can't hear me anymore (?!) and the conversation is interrupted... Specifically, I have maximum signal and good quality internet here in the resort where I am. All I have to do is go to the resort at my own expense, hoping that later I can recover the money based on the invoice... In the application it says customer service 24/7, they haven't answered my messages for more than 8 hours... Accidents don't have "Sunday off"... I'll keep you updated on the evolution of things. UPDATE 14 MARCH 2024: On Monday, March 11, 2024, I managed to get in touch with them. I went to the resort's clinic at my own expense, and my expenses will be settled based on the documents received from the doctor and the resort. At least I hope so :) I recommend this insurance only to those who don't get sick on Sunday... :)) P.S. I'm fine now... :)
Pesima experiencia. Cuando contratas el seguro te pintan todo muy fácil y a la hora de que te resuelvan por pérdida de maletas se vuelven muy burocráticos. Tuvimos un incidente hace 6 meses con el equipaje y es tiempo que después de enviar y reenviar los papeles que solicitaron nunca resolvieron. Que bueno que fue pérdida de equipaje y no alguna enfermedad grave, aún tendríamos la deuda del hospital

Rapid and well explained
We recently had to use the trip insurance that came with our Heymondo policy. There was a hitch or two, but ultimately, the insurance company paid our claim. We really appreciated was the way the Heymondo team came to our assistance during this process. We have already contracted with Heymondo for insurance to cover two more trips!
I filed a claim 2 months ago. I still have not heard back from anybody. Sonia sent me a message through whatsapp. I responded. That was it. Did not hear back. Really poor customer service. I do not recommend this agency.
I had a medical emergency in Thailand and they have been absolutely perfect and helpful in a difficult and stressful time for me. Absolutely recommended.
