Grubby

Started grubby because of a promotional deal, and then never stopped because the convenience is amazing and the food is DELICIOUS. Love 9/10 meals and they’re healthy and filling and tasty.

The quality of the recipes and produce is what sets Grubby head and shoulders above other recipe box services. Grubby is reliably packed with a big range of healthy vegetables and the recipes are so good we feel like we're eating in a high end restaurant every night. The delivery service is excellent, it's never let us down, and the SMS updates throughout the day let us know exactly when to expect the box. We've used Grubby almost every week for the last 12 months and we absolutely love it.

First order was never delivered on the Friday. Absolutely awful customer service. No one answering the customer service phone. No reply to the messages sent to grubby. Had to call the number I ordered the box from. Being told that I had received messages I haven’t. Given a refund thankfully but can’t believe how I was treated as though I was lying about receiving messages.

I was approached at Waterloo station by super friendly staff. I ordered my first two boxes and was super impressed!! The quantity of food is perfect - it is great value. The recipes are also easy to follow. LOVE IT!!

Forced to fill in a questionnaire. Forced to give phone number. Forced to accept that they will phone me in 24/48 hours to discuss. NO THANK YOU. Thank goodness i gave a fake phone number!!!!

I’ve seen the add on Instagram and filled in the form as I was curious. I was contacted on the phone the very next day, even if the sales person was friendly, he was really pushy and got me into subscribing. I didn’t mind so much because on paper, everything sounded good: plant-based, sustainable, cheap and delicious. Once it got delivered, we opened the box and 90% of the items were packed in plastic! If two ingredients were the same from different recipes, they were packaged in different little plastic bags. I guess this is what happens with this kind of box but very disappointing for what has been sold as sustainable. Secondly, the quality of the produces wasn’t good at all. We tried the Japanese curry first. The cauliflower could’ve been wrapped in paper but they decided to cut it in florets and put it plastic (no need), the curry was distasteful. Both me and my partner didn’t see how this was meant to be a Japanese curry, it was brown from the low quality spices and it had nothing to do with a curry, even a store bought one would have been better. For the taste and the quality even half price on the box was way too much. I managed to unsubscribe straight away and I’m not gonna be back! That makes me wonder how genuine the 5* reviews on Trustpilot are…

Had the pleasure of meeting David P at Waterloo Station who talked me through all the meal options. He also explained how important sustainability is to the company which is something my family and I are passionate about. I was really impressed by his customer service and he is a great asset to the team as he was able to get me signed up which is something I don’t normally do. I’m definitely sold and will be recommending Grubby to family and friends. Looking forward to receiving my first package :)

I met Jay at Warren Street Station he was really friendly, informed me about Grubby and helped me through the signing up process. The recipes look delicious so i’m excited to receive my first box!

Just spoke to Manuel in London Waterloo. Great sales, he answers all my questions with confidence, he explained how he used the product which made me feel really confident about purchasing. My box comes on Monday and I’m excited to try!

I was approached by Bryan last week at Liverpool Street Station and he was extremely convincing- built a rapport in seconds, he was really good vibes and very easily persuaded me to sign up. I usually say no and walk away but the product/service Grubby offers is too good to turn away, add Bryan’s immediate answers to all my concerns- I had no reason left to say no. I decided to try it out. Today I received my order and was naturally excited to try it out- I am terrible at cooking. A real life kitchen disaster, so I wasn’t expecting much. I followed the recipe (which was REALLY easy, and everything is already provided to you- the most complicated thing i had to do was pour 100ml water into a pan- so you can see it was VERY straightforward). In the end, I ended up with an aubergine and green bean thai curry that looked good and even tasted good- which I was pleasantly surprised about. I wasn’t expecting much from this experience but I am now motivated to learn how to cook more using Grubby’s service, there’s absolutely nothing bad I can say about it. Also, the fact that they are a sustainable business, offering healthy meals (and amazing recipes), AND they donate to feed children????? If you’re thinking of signing up, stop thinking and just do it!!

Spotted the Grubby stand at Waterloo and had a chat with the super helpful Zeeshaan. He walked me through Grubby’s offer of plant-based meal kits (something I’ve been looking for) and helped me sign up with money off. Zeeshaan was really polite and there was no hard sell at play which is always welcome!

Met Bradley in Liverpool Street and was extremely kind and knowledgeable about Grubby, I loved talking to him! I will definitely recommend this to my vegan friends and let them know of the great deals available, because I unfortunately had to cancel my order (but will order very soon!) but I am sure my friends would love this.

1 star for false advertising which is unacceptable. I was approached by a girl outside Churchill Squre in Brighton today, which claimed that the service is "way cheaper than Hello Fresh". It's not. 6 portion box from Grubby is 36 pounds, the same from HF is 33.48 (no offers in both cases). In reality, a portion from Grubby is a whole 42p more expensive than from the competitor. After I confronted her she tried to convince me it's actually more portions for someone who eats less. Well, I don't. And the same logic applies to the offerings from competition. Usually if I'm offered a bad deal I just don't take it, but in this case I was lied to which is not okay.

I got approached by lovely Elena at the pop-up stand in Brighton! She was very thorough and informative, answered all my questions and got me a great deal. Will definitely recommend it if you are looking for vegetarian alternatives.

Grubby has really nice and sophisticated recipes, healthy ingredients and comes in very good packaging. Deliveries were prompt, with the agent coming all the way up to the door of my apt. I've tried Hello Fresh and Grubby, and I loved both. As of 3 months ago when I first tried both, Grubby was healthier but slightly more expensive, although with good reason. Grubby's meals are lighter, with more fresh veggies. As a vegetarian, I particularly enjoy their choices and have loved every single meal I cooked. Vegan does not mean having to compromise on flavour or taste. With food prices going up, I might not use subscriptions as regularly as I used to. But if you would like, I recommend Grubby 10/10

I was walking through north street, and was approached by a lovely young man called Harjun - he was very friendly and encouraged us to sign up for a box! Very excited to try out, love that the company promotes sustainability and vegetarianism - two causes very close to my heart. Very happy with his friendly nature and help ordering the box! I was approached by Bryan in Liverpool street station and had a delightful interaction. Although i was reluctant to purchase at first, Bryan was very informative and friendly and was happy to answer any questions i had as he was very knowledgeable on the brand. Im glad i ran into Bryan as i am very pleased with Grubbys services!

After trying several different ones, Grubby is hands down the best meal kit out there! The quality of the ingredients, the packaging, the portion sizes and recipes are all amazing and far superior to anything else we've tried. Highly recommend to vegans and non vegans alike.
