Sim(ple), Organic, and Local?

Well, against my better judgement, Sim's penetrating wit and organic banter somehow persuaded me to sign up for this Grubby (ad)venture. All there is to see now is whether the quality of the product matches the quality of the pitch(er) ! :D All jokes aside, this seems like a great product - meal ready to go that's excellent value, organic, and locally sourced - that I'm looking forward to trying.. Thanks!

Signed up to Grubby and excited to try new recipes. I was welcomed by Victor next to Wimbledon station and after a few mins I was like "sign me up!" He was very friendly and informative on how it works and answered any questions I had and I feel this will be hassle free and I won't have to spend so much time wondering what to have for dinner.

Not worth it

Nice idea to help get 5 a day but Not worth the price for me. Some meals small (considering the price). Recipes are OK. Suspicious that most 5 star reviews are people that haven't even had their first delivery yet

Placed my first order today

Placed my first order today - haven't tried the meals yet, but the customer service was excellent. Tyrese Parker and Bradley (sadly, I've forgotten his last name), whom I met at a Grubby stall in Central London, were very relaxed and their presentation of the product didn't come across as a "sales pitch". Learned that it was Tyrese's second day on the job - very impressive!

Nezrin @ Kings Cross

I was approached enthusiastically by Nezrin. i was kinda confused at first cus she complimented my outfit when i was in construction gear n she wasn't near her stall. Talking to her more she really is charismatic, and seemingly intelligent. she made the interaction incredibly convenient with small talk and seems to be a marketeer for you guys.

Approached in Brighton

I spoke to a guy called Bradley a couple of weeks ago in brighton. Can't remember exactly date, think it was the 30th Dec. I've been looking to try a new food box subscription finding Gousto slightly unreliable at times. Bradley gave me all the information and it seemed to be exactly what I've been looking for. I've made the arrangements to get my first box. Bradley wasn't at all pushy, just let the product do the talking. Great job.

I was approached by Taquana in the Manchester Arndale, normally I’d quite easily ignore someone approaching me but it’s hard not to get drawn in by her friendly demeanour and great sales skills. Didn’t feel pressured into anything and I might have even been converted to Grubby from Hello Fresh. Jason Eme

Guys, this is real food!

Guys, I just got my first package and I am in love with the food. The taste is fabulous as real food should taste. Everything is packed nicely and topped up with a little surprise. I can't wait to transform into a Head chef under the sounds of Grubby's playlists. And all of this thanks to Ismail, a truly brilliant sales professional and fantastic person!

Bradley is the best and Grubby too

I am very bad at dodging marketing people but for once I was glad Bradley spoke to me. I said a few days prior to meeting Bradley to my friends I am so bored of the vegan meals I make and I want some diversity. Someone to make the recipes for me. I am a massive tree hugger so other services are not for me because of their waste but when I found out Grubby is a B corp, sustainable and they donate to charity for every meal I was sold. All my questions were answered and very well and overall it was lovely chatting with Bradley.

Thank you Aziz for convincing me to try Grubby!

I hadn't heard of Grubby until I met Aziz on London Bridge today and he convinced me to give it a go! He was so lovely and energetic and explained how Grubby works and showed me all the recipes. I was after a veggie box which was also sustainable and he was so knowledgeable about all of this! I've got my first box arriving next week and very excited to try all the recipes! Thank you Aziz!!

Most of the time I ignore people on the street trying to sell a product or idea but Victor convinced me quite quickly to see what it was all about. Victor was kind and informative and told me all i need to know about grubby. Convinced me to sign up too which I didn’t think was gonna happen since I love my meat so much. Great salesmanship, Concise, thoughtful and just a nice guy overall

Vegetable pasanda curry

Vegetable pasanda curry. WOW WOW WOW. Dinner was so delicious this evening. I 100% recommend this yummy meal. The only thing I would ask for would be slightly more spice but I do like chillies.

Not great for coeliacs. Limited options.

I wrote a review previously, which I then changed to be positive simply as the CEO of Grubby kept harassing me via calls/emails and I wanted him to go away. Updating again to be a fair reflection of my thoughts. All recipes used to be adaptable for people with a gluten allergy. This was changed and now allergens are displayed and you’re simply told not to select those recipes. The irritating part of that for me is often the ‘gluten’ part of those recipes is, a bun, or a wrap. Not the core part of the meal, but the side thing. These things are only made with gluten because wheat is cheap and therefore higher profit margins. Last year, and this we looked at grubby to do our bit in trying to eat less meat, regrettably only the changes around how they handle their recipes with gluten put me off, being coeliac. Often recipes I would enjoy more are now off limits, where as in the past I was able to select them and be provided with gluten free alternative ingredients - for example, a gluten free bun rather than a gluten containing bun. The move away from this approach, means that my options as a coeliac are a lot more limited and often, those recipes I like the sound of most, such as curries are now not available to me, simply because a chapati is provided. As a result. I’ll eat more meat as my own vegan recipes are no match to Grubbys. The quality of vegetables is great, the food is always delicious, but having an allergy, I feel that Grubby no longer caters to me as I previously think they did very well. I understand why the changes were made. To make things more seem less for deliveries in building up their boxes etc, but perhaps. Rather than exclude those with gluten allergies you could have made every box gluten free, every recipe gluten free - all customers receive gluten free buns, wraps etc, then all your customers are happy and in many cases healthier as gluten generally isn’t great for any human, regardless of allergens it contributes to feeling sluggish, boating, bad skin etc. unfortunately, I guess grubby ultimately care more about the underlying profit margins associated to these cheaper produced gluten containing products. As a company, I appreciate what they are doing and trying to do by reducing meat consumption and as a meat eater this was actually great for me, I would have eaten Grubbys recipes 7 nights a week, until their change around how they handle gluten in their recipes. Now. It irritates me when I don’t like any of the options available to me, but I do like those recipes that previously were an option for me, but are now not. So, rather than order the recipes that don’t appeal because they’re my only option, I just simply don’t order at all. If however, you have no allergies. Go for it. Their recipes are great and the meals filling.
