    dropped off with a list of faults

    dropped off with a list of faults, received one call phoned back 3 times and got no details, went back to dealership basically said they had done a software up date and see how I go. Left the car park with the car exactly the same as when I dropped it off with all the same faults not even sure they looked at it.

    Disappointment MB Leicester

    Disappointment with MB Leicester service with a lack of communication. They don’t call you to inform you of progress and do additional work without prior authorisation. could not get through to speak to anyone after several attempts via phone There is a lot to learn from other premium retailers such as BMW.

    labour charges are far too high

    positives: staff and quality of work negatives: labour charge is £12/hour less than it costs to see a partner in a large solicitor's firm in Bristol and double the charge of typical, approved local garages. System makes it more difficult to discuss any concerns than previously - default is to charge £100+ for "a diagnostic test"

    Mercedes-Benz of Peterborough

    Purchased an approved used car from Mercedes-Benz of Peterborough. I have given 5 stars, because the sales lady (Brittany) was first class. However, more importantly when the car developed issues, Mercedes-Benz of Peterborough ‘stepped up to the plate’ and resolved all issues to a satisfactory standard. I would not hesitate purchasing from this dealer again.

    Very poor service

    We recently purchased a six year-old Range Rover from Group 1. On the first outing in the car we noticed the upper and lower tailgates were not operating properly. Upon calling the dealership we were told 'it was fine when the vehicle left here' - not the response I would expect! We had to call out Roadside Assistance from JLR and the engineer confirmed that the vehicle was faulty and struts on both tailgates would need to be replaced. How can a dealership knowingly let a car leave with these faults? The issues continued when we tried to get them to 'fix' the car. Many phone calls and emails later they ask me to take the car to a dealership local to where we live and if any costs were incurred then they would cover it, if the warranty wouldn't. Even when the new dealership had the car it took Group 1 over a week to provide the MPI document to enable the warranty company to approve the work! Not the service from a dealership of JLR that you would expect!

    Honestly if I could rate this company…

    Honestly if I could rate this company -100 I really would. After several faults with my car in 12 months & the branch closing I purchased I contacted VW group who advised I deal with the next branch along which I did, they agreed to take the car back and have it recovered to There branch which it has been sat since 7th April with the spare key v5 etc. Filled out all the paperwork for buying back etc then it comes to the final part and a complaints person from VW head office group 1 called me "emma" this was on the 17th of April saying she was investigating as I'd had the car 12 months ( I'd clearly said this from day 1) we are now the 15th may and Emma is not replying to any emails I have not heard from her since the 17th April and the vehicle is sat in the VW garage leaving me with no car what so ever for nearly a month. I have emailed Emma and her colleague Lochlan several times, I have copied in tellusmore email address several times and flagged all as high importance and I am being ignored. I cannot wait to hear your response to this review because you will direct me to email but as clearly stated I am being ignored by everybody. I will never ever buy from VW or group1 ever again you had made my family's life hell for the last month. Who on earth agrees to buy a car back has it recovered and then leaves you in the dark ? VW SWINDON THAT IS WHO.

    Mercedes Benz Oxford

    I bought an approved used car and I can say that my experience was more than excellent from start to finish. Joshua paid attention to every detail, and he was sure that everything was done accordingly after my test drive.     I was far from happy with the cost of the first service

    I was far from happy with the cost of my first service. Let me explain where I'm coming from on this. I purchased my second Range Rover from Group 1 in October 2024 when it had done around 55k in mileage, little did I expect the first service at 60k mileage to be around £1700 ! When I discussed this with the sales team I was told there was nothing they could do but my argument was that before the car was handed over to me much of the 60k service should have been done, so that after only having the car for a short time I was having to pay a vast amount for the first service, at no time was this made apparent to me. I argued my point but only £100 was removed from my invoice for which I was grateful as this was managed by the gentlemen from service not the sales team. Now this has not been the first time I've had an issue with the sales team's lack of customer focus. There were some items that needed to be addressed after I collected the vehicle, that's to be expected, but to get your sales team to reply to my emails to book my vehicle in took weeks and in the end, I had to escalate to higher management within your sales and business facing teams. I at last got the sales team to take a bit of notice. So perhaps you'll appreciate why I am a little upset about this first service especially as I had suggested meeting me halfway on the costs as I don't expect to get away without paying anything, but nothing has been forthcoming. I have been an avid Landrover owner for many years and to be very honest have never encountered this lack of customer service before and hopefully I wont again, but it has completely changed my view of Group 1 as a premium Range Rover dealership.

    I first raised a complaint about Group…

    I first raised a complaint about Group 1VW Chester on the 2nd May about non payment for my car which they purcased via Motorway.It is now the 13th May and I still have not been paid.I would rate the minus 5 if I could.
