    Still waiting for a reservation fee refund…

    Group 1 Norwich: Still waiting for a reservation fee refund that was put down on 30 May, as the vehicle purchase did not proceed I was assured that this had been actioned but as yet still no fee of £199 returned to my account. If perchance, I do business Group 1 again, I will not be putting a reservation deposit down despite the possibility of losing a vehicle to another buyer. I note another reviewer is still waiting after 10 days for the return of their reservation fee! As I write it's 16:48pm on a Friday afternoon and still no show. Perhaps Trading Standards need to be informed? UPDATE: as I write it is16:47 and despite Group 1 Automotive's response advising that my Reservation Fee refund would be made by close of business today, 9 June 2025, I have received nothing. Trading Standards will be contacted tomorrow and if necessary legal counsel sought. UPDATE: as of 12 June, still no refund. I have contacted the Group 1 CEO to see if he can intervene and advised Group 1 admin that I will begin legal proceedings as they are in breach of contract if the refund is not made.

    Booked my Audi Etron GT in to Audi Cheshire oaks for a warranty fix, needed a courtesy car. Dropped it off today and was charged for the pleasure. I spend over £100k for a car and they can’t loan me a car for the day? Times must be hard for these guys….

    website query to Land Rover Southend sales…

    Sent a website query to Southend Land Rover sales regarding a Range Rover on Saturday evening. I was unable to answer my phone in the Sunday but received a staggering 7 calls on the Sunday. I spoke to the sales person on the Monday morning expecting a civil conversation. Instead I was spoken to with disdain and subject to pressure sales and misquoting of what I said. Completely at odds with the service you would expect from a premium brand. I would strongly suggest avoiding this dealer based on my experience.

    STRESS FREEE

    I found the whole process of buying a new car stress free. From entering the showroom I did not feel under any pressure from the sales team. Joseph Vaughan, my sales person, was very knowledgable and helpful with loads of patience.

    Premium service and standards but delays waiting for parts for repairs.

    Department is very clean and welcoming. Staff pleasant. They sorted a courtesy car out for me but had to wait 24hrs for this as it was a rental. Had an issues found on service which needed repair and meant my car was with them longer than expected. 8 weeks in total due to parts supply. Not great. In total my car has been with JLR 12 weeks (previous 4 week delay with breakdown) in the 12 months I have had it. Shame as nice car, nice brand, premium feel to car. Will be a future customer in upgrading depending on if my car goes in again and I have to wait weeks for the repair again......

    Recently had the misfortune to purchase…

    Recently had the misfortune to purchase a Mercedes-Benz from one of this companies dealerships. Having read 'Group 1 Automotive' so called Mission Statement reads : INTEGRITY-TRANSPARENCY-PROFESSIONALISM-TEAMWORK-RESPECT So I think there should be some adjustments there and this should now read: DISHONESTY-AMBIGUITY-INADEQUACY-BELLIGERENCE-CONTEMPT This is a long story....and indeed getting longer by the day so other than the basics, having bought a Mercedes AMG E53 from their Southport Branch which was then closed within approx 6 weeks of my purchase and the pursuing debacle of Group 1 taking the responsibility of both problems with the vehicle and un-completed paperwork from point of sale.....I think we shall make a weekly report on the progression or non-progression as the case may be. At this point I highly recommend avoiding Group 1 Automotive and ALL its dealerships ( I've had to give them one star to have this posted....it should be Zero )

    I’m a utterly disgusted,that I still…

    I’m a utterly disgusted,that I still have not received my £200 deposit back or even had confirmation to say so ,just a very quick email to say they have emailed head office to refund me. Which I had to chase up ! Well sorry it should be refund the next working day ,very poor company ,seems to my you just want to hang on to my money which is actual not yours,1 big scam. Let alone the car I viewed, passed the mot the day before ! But actually needed 4 new tyres

    Brilliant Service

    I had a Kia Niro on PCP and it was coming to the end of its contract. I found out I was in negative equity, and none of the Kia dealers I was in touch with were prepared to see what they could do I went on to Autotrader and saw a lovely looking low mileage Toyota Rav 4 on sale at Group 1 Burton. I emailed the dealership and got a reply next day from Paramdeep Banga with a video of the car I was interested in. I contacted Paramdeep and explained my situation to him. His response was “let me talk to my business manager, I am certain we can work something out for you” (unlike the other garages I was dealing with.) Paramdeep came back to me with an acceptable offer that I agreed to. From then on in everything was done efficiently and very professionally both by Paramdeep and Joe, the business manager. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would give them both11/10 It was a pleasure dealing with Paramdeep, he is a great advert for the garage.

    C Class Estate

    My partner & I recently relunctantly visited the showroom after a prior negative experience when purchasing our last vehicle. We were assigned to Georgia who from the very beginning was a pleasure to deal with. She communicated efficiently with us at all stages of any developments or of any requirements from us and was always available to answer any queries we had. Truly diligent in her work, she is an asset to her organisation and a stark difference from the standard showroom perceptions of wheeler dealers. Safe to say she has reinstated our confidence in Mercedes Benz Liverpool

    Took car in for recall

    Took car in for recall, was told I'd have paperwork to prove what work had been done but recieved nothing. Also noticed after getting car back home that the car had two new scratches on the paintwork and some parts of the paintwork had gone from being shiny to now being very dull. Was also supposed to have a health check but it didn't and recieved no paperwork to say otherwise so quite disappointing to be honest
