    Warning light issue

    They resolved the issue by fitting a new part first time rather than just resetting the fault code. Mercedes kept the car overnight and completed the work. Also washed and hoovered the car .. looked lovely

    What makes a good experience

    What makes a good experience? The fact that it's not just a one time experience, it is in fact every time I have my car either serviced, MOT inspection or have an issue that needs sorting. The experiences s always the same, complete satisfaction.

    Excellent Buying Experience

    Katie made the whole buying process so easy. She found us exactly the car we were looking for - RAV 4 Plug in hybrid, the part -exchange process was very straightforward. Katie kept us well informed all the way through the process, she made sure we knew how all the features worked & that we were happy with the car. Katie was a pleasure to deal with & I would not hesitate to recommend Katie & Group 1 Toyota Derby to anyone looking to purchase a car.

    I made a few planned and unplanned…

    I made a few planned and unplanned visits to Porsche Centre Portsmouth. Exceptional service all round. Teri looked after me and she was on the ball from the off, calling me immediately to let me know my car had arrived safely and that it would be in her care. Due to my busy schedule I had to cancel dates and re book but this was never a problem. She was so helpful, so polite and I fully trusted leaving my car in her possession (first time I’d used the centre). Wonderful people , beautiful service centre/showroom and a very nice environment to sit and relax/work in. Highly recommend and I’m a fuss pot !

    Awful experience and definitely would…

    Awful experience and definitely would NOT recommend. I am based in the North West and liked a BMW X1 the dealership had for sale. I enquiried and was told a distance sale was possible (I have now been told by other garages a distance sale is actually very normal/ common now so shouldn't have been as difficult as it was). After back and forth on queries (I had to ask some of the same questions repeatably to get answers, I think I asked 4/5 times just to get the service history). I said to the sales person that if there was any cosmetic/ interior damage that wouldn't be repaired that we couldn't see on pictures/ videos (as it's a 3 year old car which we understood) to please just be transparent as it was in both our interests. I was very clear the car would be rejected if it wasn't in the condition we were lead to believe. After lots of re-assurance and a delay to the delivery date because he "wasn't happy with the repair quality" the car finally arrived in a much worse condition than we were ever lead to believe. Had we had transparency and saw the car's genuine condition, we would have never even reserved the car. We had a list of about 14 issues with the car, the main ones being the state of the interior (including what looked like a dog had bitten a tiny chunk out the door handle) even though we were told it was "perfect" which it definitely wasn't, for a 3 year old car. We never received a video of the interior before it left for delivery as promised (which now makes a lot of sense) and the exterior video was that shown in a way that we couldn't have spotted anything if we wanted to. I was told GardX had been completed and the MOT would be printed in the car. The kit for the GardX was missing and no MOT print out was in the car. It makes you question whether the GardX was ever even applied especially because the back seats had dusty/ muddy parts on them. The car was rejected on the same day and plenty of apologies from the manager despite us paying for a insurance swap over and valeting to my old vehicle which would need to be paid again (private sale). We were VERY frustrated by the lack of transparency and disappointed with the whole service in general. This experience has caused nothing but stress. There was also confusion with payment before the car was ready to be delivered because I was told by one person it could come from my husbands account as long so emailed and then told this was incorrect. The vehicle also arrived on my birthday which was a lovely stressful afternoon! Then I had to constantly chase to get my money back, finally after just over a week I received £3,000 back and only after threatening a charge back on my credit card was the remaining £5,000 refunded (just under 2 weeks after the car was rejected). Despite the terrible service and lack of transparency, I thought the refunds would be actioned urgently to avoid causing me affordability issues purchasing another vehicle given the amount of money I had tied up. I did ring BMW Financial Services and they advised me they received their money back days before I did. Nice to know sending money back to them was a priority over a customer who was waiting on £8,000 to be able to purchase another vehicle. This experience has put me off using an "approved used" dealer moving forward. AVOID!

    Express car service

    Booked VW express service drop the keys off and just leave I have a service plan which it’s just best thing I’ve ever done. The car feels brand-new after the service the engineers do a great job thank you. Highly recommended

    If I could rate 0 stars I would

    If I could rate 0 stars I would - I received email today asking me if I wanted to book in for my brake pads - this was my response - Due to the most dreadful service ever imaginable by a car dealer we no longer own a mini from Group 1 auto Bedford and we would never purchase a mini or any other car from Group 1 Auto Bedford ever again. The sales team paid off my finance 3 days prior to part exchange, the car we were due to purchase was damaged so we did not go through with the purchase however due to their underhand financing we had no option but to hand our car back to them and we were left without a vehicle unless we wanted to finance it at a much higher rate. I do own a mini but purchased it through a fantastic dealership who were helpful and supportive and had never heard of a dealership doing anything so underhand as Group 1 Auto Bedford. Funnily enough I didn’t hear anything back - no surprise there!!!

    Exactly what you would expect from Mercedes Kailey from Liverpool Mercedes went above and beyond customer service in helping me with my new car. Even when an issue came up.     Excellent environment to relax while waiting for a service. Service completed in the estimated time with helpful summary afterwards. Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Refreshments were available. Really appreciated the car being valeted too!

    I didn't mind waiting 2 hours as I booked it at very short notice so it was not a sit in visit however I chose to and they kept me informed. it's also cosy and a lovely touch to have a drink and a biscuit and have a look at all the memorabilia

    Impossible to get accurate quotes

    Unable to get accurate quotes for work and some quotes are excessive almost 3 times that anyone else is charging. Also what’s this GP1 all about? You take your car into JLR Preston for repair and get a survey from GP1 what’s this some sort of mechanic franchise???
