When we got water on the bathroom floor sent in a meld to get the problem fixed. Great Jones was great about keeping me up to date with progress and who would be servicing. Very easy to schedule with plumbing company and the young man who arrived was very polite and explained everything. Very happy with results.Thank you Great Jones job well done.

Overall I'm very satisfied with Great Jones service and people. GJ has some room for improvement however and I believe they are working toward improving their service. Pricing is very fair and I've been happy with how they have handled my properties.
I have had some issues with my local property manager and regional manager not providing clear communication about guidelines that are not spelled out in any documents. Having to make constant calls for clarification on what they will and will not do makes it more hands on than I'd wish for it to be. If you just pay the money they ask for upfront and don't ask questions then you should be fine. On the flip side they are good at managing the communication from the tenants so far, and the tenants like the processes they have in place. Also when I have to escalate my concerns to senior management, they are very responsive and willing to help. I just feel I shouldn't have to escalate to get an answer. I would advise to ask a lot of questions up front especially about how they will manage the turn between tenants and any repairs that need to be done to the unit. This is not my first property management company. None of them are perfect. As an out of state landlord I just wish the communication was a bit better.
Overall, the initial response time with the property manager was great. A few glitches along the way. Until a complaint or an email to a higher up is sent voicing concern or dissatisfaction. Having dealt with landlords directly in the past, The lease renewal process is less than professional in my opinion. As an insurance professional, the most important aspect of service is a timely response and notice of changes. I was given no advanced notice of a severe change in our lease agreement and no time to decide whether or not we wanted to continue the lease agreement at renewal. Emails were sent requesting a discussion on a rental fee increase along with the changes in the parameters of the agreement. That included additional costs that were being passed from the landlord to me. Although the actual rent increase was nominal, the additional monthly expenses of repairs and maintenance were not disclosed until it was too late for us to decide to terminate and move on Our increase in total is approximately $200 more than the prior lease term. What a terrible thing for most tenants to have to endure and factor into a monthly budget. We are now forced to sign a lease for another year or risk losing a large deposit and endure a higher month to month option. Buying our own home has never been more of a necessity than now. The mortgage would be less. With no contact with the landlord directly it has been a very disappointing experience to say the least.
Awful! I hate giving them one star, I wish I could give them negative 10. I couldn't say how many things went wrong with this company. Essentially they barely worked until the 3 month contract, when the guarantee to reimburse you for management fees ended, and then they didn't work at all for a month until I fired them on September 30th. It took them 3 days to respond to that and I had to threaten them with the Better Business Bureau before I got a response. I still have not been paid for October and have received none of deposits that are left. I've tried everything to try and work things out. The pay seems all messed up. Each month the pay has been much lower than rents, they don't usually return calls or emails within 3 days or sometimes never. If you have new properties to add they don't care. I asked them for 3 weeks to do something about my new properties and they did nothing. So I had to advertise, take applications and rent them and they still wanted me to pay them management fees for that month. To make it even worse they blamed me for interrupting them in front of some other owner because I called during their meeting. How was I supposed to know what they were doing? I had called 3 days previous with no returned call so I was just following up. There was always excuses, blaming other people including myself. No taking responsibility for the problems, almost no communication, and confusing who to talk to. My tenants were constantly calling me complaining about they couldn't reach them, charged late fees when they didn't know who to pay due to unreturned calls, and many other complaints. Great Jones, especially Justin, would snidely apologize but who needs apologies when you hire somebody to do a job, not only did I have to do the job myself which Justin told me "if you wanted it done on your timeline you'll have to do it yourself because I am too busy in Indianapolis", I had to work harder and more hours than when I managed the properties myself because of the time of trying to reach them over and over, tenants calling mad and finally having to pay them on top of it. Horrible!!
So far i am very happy with Great Jones. Not the quickest response time, but I am patient.
Need to have other better ways to pay a bill if y’all decide to lock my online account so I can’t pay my bill I work so muck I don’t have time to make it to these stores before they close or to the post office I do everything online or at midnight
