Awful!
Awful! I hate giving them one star, I wish I could give them negative 10. I couldn't say how many things went wrong with this company. Essentially they barely worked until the 3 month contract, when the guarantee to reimburse you for management fees ended, and then they didn't work at all for a month until I fired them on September 30th. It took them 3 days to respond to that and I had to threaten them with the Better Business Bureau before I got a response. I still have not been paid for October and have received none of deposits that are left. I've tried everything to try and work things out. The pay seems all messed up. Each month the pay has been much lower than rents, they don't usually return calls or emails within 3 days or sometimes never. If you have new properties to add they don't care. I asked them for 3 weeks to do something about my new properties and they did nothing. So I had to advertise, take applications and rent them and they still wanted me to pay them management fees for that month. To make it even worse they blamed me for interrupting them in front of some other owner because I called during their meeting. How was I supposed to know what they were doing? I had called 3 days previous with no returned call so I was just following up. There was always excuses, blaming other people including myself. No taking responsibility for the problems, almost no communication, and confusing who to talk to. My tenants were constantly calling me complaining about they couldn't reach them, charged late fees when they didn't know who to pay due to unreturned calls, and many other complaints. Great Jones, especially Justin, would snidely apologize but who needs apologies when you hire somebody to do a job, not only did I have to do the job myself which Justin told me "if you wanted it done on your timeline you'll have to do it yourself because I am too busy in Indianapolis", I had to work harder and more hours than when I managed the properties myself because of the time of trying to reach them over and over, tenants calling mad and finally having to pay them on top of it. Horrible!!
