The trip was good…food was disappointing
The trip was good, very busy and kind of exhausting. The most disappointing part was the food. When you are in another country, you expect to eat authentic food from the region. Some of the food was obviously precooked and kept warm, not very good. Also, EF Tours asked us multiple times if we had any food intolerances/allergies. My son and I both went and we both cannot eat gluten. I was assured multiple times that there would be food for us. There was food for us but nothing to write home about. There are plenty of really good gluten free options in Europe and they could have tried a little harder. We deserve better than an unpeeled orange on a plate for dessert. If you are going to ask about allergies/intolerances…do a little more work on your end to make the experience good for everyone. The best meals we had were the ones we got on our own. Like I said, so many delicious gluten free options were available but not given.
